As the dark katana slashed through the air, an eerie stillness followed, a dreadful silence that seemed to crush reality itself.
The space before Sir Kieran's sword quivered like a fragile glass pane under pressure, black veins suddenly spiralling from the slash's origin, rapidly spreading outward toward the beam of exploding dark energy waves, swimming toward the ship.
And when they finally met—
SHATTTTTTTTERRRR.
The fabric of reality gave way, fracturing into a domain of crystalline cracks.
Shards of shimmering nothingness spiralled outward, as a gaping void beyond—an abyss that seemed to hunger for existence itself—pulled in all the approaching dark pillar beams, swallowing them completely, before the cracks quickly mended themselves.
