Chereads / The Armor Thief / Chapter 15 - You'll Regret It

Chapter 15 - You'll Regret It

"Three... two... one... go!" Sasha's cold little hand was placed on the two men's clasped fists as she started the countdown. At this, the big guy's arms, which were even thicker than Finn's thighs, tensed up. He put all his strength into it. As soon as Sasha said "go," he pushed with all his might against his opponent's arm.

In the big guy's view, with the amount of strength he was using, even if he was up against something as powerful as an Iron - bone Giant Rhino, he should have been able to knock it over. But what he just couldn't believe was that when he pushed with all his strength, the other guy's arm, which was as thin as a stick, didn't move a bit!

The big guy was stunned. He stared at Finn, who was smiling, for about three seconds. It was only when Finn nodded at him to keep going that he remembered he was still in the match.

"ROAR!" The big guy did what old Cowell did before. He roared really loud to boost his spirits and then pushed towards his opponent again. This time, he kept pushing hard for nearly ten seconds. But no matter how much he yelled or how hard he pushed, the other guy's arm just wouldn't budge. It felt like he wasn't facing a human but a really fierce T - Rex.

"Is that all you got?" After about ten seconds, Finn, who was almost bored to sleep by the big guy, thought this was getting boring. He had wanted to use this chance to arm - wrestle with the big guy to see how strong he was after his Level - 2 Body Multiplication. But unfortunately, this big guy didn't seem to be a good test. He had only used half of his strength, and the big guy was already helpless. Finn proudly sighed in the way a winner would, almost saying something like "It's so lonely at the top." Then, with everyone around looking at him doubtfully, he said to the big guy, "If you don't show some real power, I'm gonna start pushing for real." After that, he calmly counted to three and then easily pushed the big guy's arm onto the table like there was no resistance at all.

"I win," Finn said calmly to the big guy.

"No... impossible!" Being beaten in what he was best at, and losing so badly, the big guy was really shaken. He mumbled "impossible" a couple of times and then suddenly grabbed a bench and swung it at Finn's head!

"Smack!" The bench flew through the air, making a whooshing sound as it went, and then there was a loud crack. But it wasn't Finn's head that got smashed. It was the big guy's own arm. Just as the bench was about to hit Finn's head, Finn lifted his right hand and pulled the big guy's arm that was pinned on the table to block it.

"Ah... AHH!!!" When the big guy saw his arm, which was full of wood chips and all bent out of shape, he let out an awful, painful scream.

"Hmph... So you can feel pain after all." Finn stood up, his eyes full of scorn. He leaned forward and quickly grabbed the big guy's other hand, which was still holding half of the bench. Then he twisted it hard behind the big guy's back. The big guy spun around, and his arm got stuck behind him.

"Don't you like breaking other people's arms? Well, now you'll know what it's like to have your arms broken!" Finn pulled up hard, and with a "crack!" sound, both of the big guy's arms were broken!

"Puff! Thud... thud... thud... thud!" Finn let go and kicked the big guy's butt hard. The big guy went flying forward like he was diving face - first, knocking over several tables one after another. He finally stopped when his head hit the doorframe of the tavern. The big guy was tough. Even though his head and body were bleeding from the crash, he still managed to get up. He shook his dizzy head and looked at Finn with hateful eyes.

"Don't look at me like that," Finn sneered. "Blame it on you being in the Poison - thorn Mercenary Corps!" Finn snorted. "I'm not killing you today. Go back and tell your vice - captain, Chris, that I'll come for him soon to get my revenge and get my stuff back. Now, get out!"

"You'll be sorry!" The big guy struggled to get up from the ground, spat out some blood, and said this before turning and running out of the tavern.

"Oh!"

"The Poison - thorn bandits are gone!"

Three of the four Poison - thorn Mercenary Corps members were dead, and one was injured. While the adventurers in the tavern were cheering and celebrating their victory, Finn was collecting the three corpses. The Poison - thorn Mercenary Corps adventurers had a lot of good stuff on them. Since they were dead, Finn didn't mind taking their things. He took all their clothes, weapons, backpacks, and everything in their storage spaces. He almost stripped the three Poison - thorn adventurers naked. Then he stood up, satisfied, and left... Actually, Finn didn't attack the Poison - thorn people on a whim this time. A month ago, Finn had a feud with the Poison - thorn people. That time, he was on a mission in the Ovilon Canyon and happened to find a Golden - tailed Fox. The Golden - tailed Fox is a rare species. It's not very strong, but it's full of valuable parts. The fox was worth at least two or three thousand crystal coins. Finn worked really hard to corner the fox. He was about to catch it when, unfortunately, the vice - captain of the Poison - thorn Mercenary Corps, Chris, showed up with a bunch of mean - spirited mercenaries. Chris didn't say a word and just sent his men to attack Finn. Finn was only a Level - 7 ability user at that time, and he was no match for Chris's men. As a result, the Golden - tailed Fox was taken by them, and Finn was badly hurt. If he hadn't brought a lot of healing potions for the mission and if he wasn't really fast, he might have died in the Ovilon Canyon.

Finn was the type to hold a grudge. Since the attack, he'd considered all the Poison - thorn people as enemies. Now that he saw some of the Poison - thorn guys showing off in front of his place, even without old Cowell and Sasha being involved, Finn would have still taken action. He wasn't the weakling who got bullied all the time anymore, so he thought it was time to get something back from the Poison - thorn people!

In the tavern, the big guy, whose arms Finn had broken, said this before leaving.

"You'll regret it."

At the time, Finn didn't think much of it. He thought it was just the big guy saying something mean because he was angry. But when he got home and sorted through the loot from those few Poison - thorn members, Finn really regretted it. He was really, really sorry.
