On a spacious training ground early in the morning, two individuals met: Gojo Satoru, the legendary sorcerer known as the strongest, and his student Yuta Okkotsu, a young but incredibly promising sorcerer known for his exceptional cursed energy. They stood facing each other, preparing for the session. The sun had barely risen, painting the sky in golden and pink hues, but the frosty air was filled with anticipation.
Yuta was dressed in comfortable sportswear, ready for intense training, his face marked by focus. Gojo, as always, appeared casual: dark pants and a black high-collared jacket emphasized his effortless confidence. His trademark blindfold hid his eyes, but even with it, he radiated power and undeniable authority.
"I thought you'd never ask," Gojo said casually.
Yuta sighed and replied, "Well, when I got a student, I realized I had nothing to teach him. I think it was the right decision for you to make Megumi my student."
"Megumi is grateful to you, but he doesn't see you as his mentor or teacher because of the contradictions in your personalities—or perhaps even your worldviews. And I only recently realized that without circumstances pushing me to act, I don't particularly like any changes. If I feel comfortable and cozy, that's enough for me. I don't want more power, strength, or money; I'm not that kind of person," Yuta explained. He looked at Gojo and asked, "Tell me honestly, did you make this decision on a whim, or are you really that good of a teacher?"
Gojo turned sideways from Yuta, smiled mysteriously, and looked up.
Yuta chuckled and asked, "Are you trying to seem like a mysterious and wise teacher? Like in anime?"
Gojo's face darkened. He looked at Yuta seriously and asked, "How do you know?"
Yuta was bewildered by his teacher's seriousness.
Gojo burst into laughter and said, "I think that's enough jokes for now. Let's focus on the training."
He approached Yuta, looking him over from head to toe as if assessing him, and asked, "Did you do what I asked?"
"Yes, I've been practicing boxing and taekwondo for a month now," Yuta nodded.
"Well then, let's see. Attack me," Gojo said, beckoning Yuta to action.
Yuta assumed a stance and, in an instant, closed the distance to Gojo with a lunge. Gojo easily dodged it, then said, "Keep going, try to land a hit on me."
Yuta nodded and continued his attempts. He used feints, his hands and feet, trying to catch Gojo in various ways, circling around him. Suddenly, Yuta slowed just before a strike and made a rapid lunge that caught Gojo off guard. Yuta's hand stopped a few centimeters from Gojo's face.
Gojo smiled and asked, "Was that the technique?"
Yuta awkwardly scratched the back of his head and replied, "Yeah, it was the damage accumulation technique. We didn't say I couldn't use techniques, but we didn't say I could either."
Gojo interrupted him, "I'd be offended if you didn't use techniques. Yuta, you're training with the strongest sorcerer; give it your all."
Yuta nodded and prepared for another attempt. He gathered cursed energy in his hand and attacked Gojo using the "acid" technique.
In the "Evil Eye" technique, there are nuances. If the target fears the technique's user—true fear for their life or power—the user can freeze them in place for a significant time, at least until the fear is overcome. However, indirect fears can also be used. For example, if Gojo fleetingly feared getting dirty, the Evil Eye could exploit that fear, though its effect would last less than a second.
Yuta activated the Evil Eye and, using the moment, attacked with the damage accumulation technique. Gojo, surprised, looked at the hand that stopped centimeters from his face. He burst out laughing and said, "You're improving quickly. I think it's time for a full-on sparring match."
Yuta felt uncertain about this idea but decided to trust his teacher. They faced each other again, and Yuta made the first move, lunging straight at Gojo. But Gojo grabbed his wrist and delivered a strong punch to Yuta's face with his other hand.
Caught off guard by the force of the blow, Yuta was disoriented. Gojo decided to teach his student a lesson in carelessness and struck Yuta in the stomach using the "Blue" technique. Yuta, unprepared for this attack, felt his vision blur for a few seconds and vomited, expelling his entire breakfast. He sat down, unable to stand as his legs gave out.
Gojo pondered for a second, "Maybe I overdid it?"
But then dismissed the thought, reasoning, "Yuta's never taken damage like this before, and it's better he gets used to it during training than in a battle where such a mistake could be fatal."
Looking at the seated Yuta, Gojo teleported to a nearby vending machine, grabbed a bottle of water, and teleported back to Yuta. He handed him the water.
Yuta, tasting the bitter aftertaste in his mouth from vomiting, gratefully took the water and emptied the bottle.
He looked at his teacher and said, "Now I understand why they call you the strongest. I wouldn't want to be your enemy. The elders, though, are surprising—where do they get the nerve?"
Gojo laughed and replied, "They've just never been hit by Blue in the face; that's why they're so brave." Then, seriously, he asked, "So? Want to continue the training?"
With determination, Yuta said, "Of course. Did you think I'd run away after one punch?" He decided he wanted to grow stronger.
Gojo smiled and said, "Well, it was a punch from the strongest."
They faced off again. Yuta attacked but didn't let himself get caught this time, quickly retreating after each move. Gojo's fighting style was nonlinear; he used every opportunity to attack and could dodge Yuta's strikes from any position.
Yuta launched a quick kick to the head. Gojo easily blocked it but was unexpectedly pushed back by the force of the kick. Yuta didn't miss the opportunity, quickly grabbed Gojo's wrist, and mimicked his earlier move—a straight punch. Although Gojo caught it, the blow still managed to deal some damage to his face.
Gathering all his strength into a fist, Yuta struck at Gojo's stomach. But Gojo managed to block, and the punch hit his arms instead. A shockwave swept across the training ground, as if a bomb had gone off. The force of Yuta's strike against Gojo's block sent the latter flying over a hundred meters.
As if nothing had happened, Gojo appeared next to Yuta and patted him on the shoulder. "Not bad. That's the first time I've taken such a strong hit. How much did you use?" Gojo asked.
"Almost half," Yuta replied.
"It's an excellent technique. You should try to find a better way to accumulate kinetic energy," Gojo mused before saying, "I think I know what could help you: reverse cursed technique."
"What's that?" Yuta asked curiously.
Gojo demonstrated, making a cut on his outstretched arm and slowly healing it using reverse cursed energy. He explained, "Reverse Cursed Technique is a variation of cursed technique that converts cursed energy into positive energy. It's a complex technique typically used to heal human bodies.
"It transforms inherently negative cursed energy into positive energy by multiplying two sources of cursed energy together. The result is a qualitative change in energy—from destructive to creative, negative to positive.
"Only a few people are capable of using this technique due to its complexity. At the moment, only two people have mastered it—myself and Shoko Ieiri."
"Wow, that's such a cool and useful technique. But how would it help me improve my damage accumulation technique?" Yuta asked.
Gojo continued, "Reverse cursed technique can be used in combination with other techniques, inverting their properties. For example..." He formed a seal and activated Blue, creating a compact, blue, vortex-like sphere. "This is the enhanced version of the neutral form of Limitless: Blue."
Then Gojo activated Red, a much more aggressive and explosive technique. A bright red sphere appeared, surrounded by waves of force pushing everything outward.
"Using reverse cursed technique to invert Blue's properties, I create a divergence in my Limitless technique, forming an extremely powerful repelling force. Being powered by positive energy, Red has twice the destructive force of Blue," Gojo explained.
Listening intently, Yuta nodded. "I see. So if I master reverse cursed technique, I can try to develop new ways to use my techniques."
Gojo nodded. "I've explained everything I know about reverse cursed technique. Now it's up to you."
Yuta felt as if he already knew how to use the technique, as though it had been second nature to him all along. Following Gojo's demonstration, he made a small cut on his finger and used reverse cursed energy to heal it.
Gojo looked at Yuta in surprise. "You mastered it on the first try?"
"Because I have a good teacher," Yuta joked.
"Well, I think that's enough for today. Practice with this technique. I think we should spar once every two weeks to develop your hand-to-hand combat skil
ls," Gojo said, then bid his student farewell.
"Alright, thanks for the lesson. Goodbye," Yuta replied.

Yuta walked home at a leisurely pace, feeling a sense of unease inside. He couldn't pinpoint where this feeling came from, which he had experienced when attempting to use the reverse cursed technique. He thought about it a lot and came to the conclusion that he had also inherited the talent of the original Yuta.
