In complete silence, he laid still on the floor because he weighed a ton, and he'd nearly used all of his chakra reservoir. Still, he knew he wasn't done with it yet: the battle was far from over, and the curse still lived in the shadows.
However, the room around her had changed now. The oppressive darkness was no longer there. The walls no longer groaned in pain. There was no cold wind either.
And there stood Naruto, looking around at his friends: Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi, all of them, set their faces for battle but stood by him, alive through his fighting the curse but not just by his victory over the darkness, as having come and won over their own fears.
The broken, flickering figure of the damned man echoed his last, laugh.
"You think you've won?" it hissed, its voice fading. "I will return. The darkness will always be with you."
Naruto took a step forward. His conviction burning, he opened his eyes. "Then so be it. We'll keep on fighting it again and again. And as long as we have each other, the darkness will never win.".
And thus with a final shake, the curse burst apart and the shadows turned into nothing at all. The last dying breath of darkness faded away, leaving the chamber to silence.
It was not over yet for Naruto. The darkness is always ready to spoil at the moment of weakness. But if they stood as one, be it how strong or evil, they would never fall.
"We're not done yet," Naruto said, his voice firm. "This is just the beginning. We'll face whatever comes next. together." The team stood together, stronger than ever, with an unbreakable bond. And so, the curse was defeated. The journey would continue, though.
