The sun was shining brightly and the sky was clear that weekend when Kim decided to have a barbecue at home. Her sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie were present, as well as her nieces and nephews, and of course, Tom, who had already become an important and beloved part of the family. The children ran around the pool, laughing and playing, while Kim's sisters were comfortably seated around a table, chatting and enjoying family time.
Tom, who had already helped prepare the barbecue and served some drinks for his sisters, decided to take a dip in the pool to cool off. He took off his shirt, revealing his athletic form, which did not go unnoticed by Kim's sisters, who exchanged glances and giggles.
As he dove into the pool, Kylie leaned towards Kim, giving her a mischievous smile.
"Wow, Kim, Tom really does look like he came out of an action movie, huh?" — Kylie joked, winking at her sisters.
Kim laughed, but felt her face flush a little. She was used to her sisters' comments about Tom, but they seemed to enjoy making her feel awkward every time.
"That's right, Kim!" Khloe added with a laugh. "He's a piece of shit! He's not letting you go hungry, is he?"
They all burst out laughing, and Kim shook her head, laughing and embarrassed.
"Guys, please!" Kim said, laughing, while trying to hide the blush on her face. "You guys are terrible!"
Kendall leaned in, also taking the opportunity to tease her.
"But seriously, Kim, he's such a different man. You can see how caring and devoted he is to you and the kids. He has a... protective way about him."
"I agree!" Kourtney added, nodding. "It's like he was made for you, Kim." When we're all together, you can see how much he cares about you and your family.
Kim smiled, touched by her sisters' words. Tom really made her feel safe and loved in a way she hadn't expected. However, at the same time, she knew her sisters wouldn't miss a chance to make fun of her.
Tom emerged from the water at that moment, shaking his head to get rid of the excess water and blinking against the sun. He swam to the edge of the pool and leaned there, looking at Kim and her sisters with a relaxed smile.
"Is everything okay here?" he asked, his tone amused, as if he knew he was the topic of conversation.
The sisters looked at each other, smiling.
"More than okay, Tom!" Khloe replied, with a laugh. "We're just here admiring how… devoted you are to our Kim."
Tom raised his eyebrows, realizing the joke, but decided to go along with it.
"Just devoted?" How unfair," he said, winking at Kim, who laughed and looked away, blushing even more.
Kim tried to change the subject, but Kendall and Kylie didn't miss the opportunity to continue the teasing.
"Kim, seriously, you've always had good taste, but with Tom you've outdone yourself!" Kendall said, laughing. "All he needs is for him to become a model, and then that's it, he's in the complete package."
Kylie laughed and posed, pretending to be a professional photographer.
"Tom, do you want to do a photoshoot with us? I guarantee it will be a success."
Tom laughed, joining in the joke.
"I'll leave the photoshoots to you girls. I'm not very photogenic."
Kourtney looked at Kim and winked.
"Well, if Tom were a model, I think you'd be in trouble, Kim. I imagine the whole world would want a piece of him." Kim shook her head, laughing, but feeling her heart warmed by how much her sisters seemed to like Tom.
"The truth is, he's mine," Kim said, finally giving in to the jokes, smiling with pride and affection. "So stop coveting him."
Tom, hearing Kim's statement, just smiled, watching her with admiration. He knew she was joking, but he appreciated seeing how comfortable she felt around her sisters, and even more so, how willing she was to defend him from all the jokes.
The barbecue continued, with everyone enjoying the afternoon. The children finally got into the pool to play with Tom, who, without hesitation, picked them up and threw them into the water, causing laughter and excited screams to fill the yard.
Kim watched the scene, sitting next to her sisters, and couldn't hide her smile. She loved seeing how Tom interacted with her children and with her nieces and nephews. To her, it was proof that he was genuinely connected to everyone there and that he was part of the family.
At one point, Tom got out of the pool, grabbed a towel, and sat down next to Kim, who couldn't resist running her hand through his wet hair.
"You're practically a star here," she said softly.
Tom laughed, kissing her on the top of her head.
"I just feel at home with you guys. It's like you're my own family."
At this, Kim's sisters, who were still sitting around, smiled, touched by Tom's sincerity. They knew how much Kim valued family and how important it was for her to find someone who shared that same feeling.
As the afternoon wore on, everyone settled in for the end of the barbecue. The children, exhausted from playing so much, were wrapped in towels and dozing in their mothers' arms or in lounge chairs. Kim's sisters came over to give her and Tom hugs, saying goodbye with smiles and affectionate words.
Before leaving, Khloe winked at Kim one last time.
"I just want to say I'm so happy for you, Kim. I think you found someone who makes you really happy."
Kim nodded, feeling the emotion take over.
"Thank you, Khlo. I feel that way too. I never thought I would find someone like this."
As she watched her sisters leave one by one, Kim felt grateful. She looked at Tom, who was holding one of the little ones, already sleeping, and felt that her life was complete.
She knew that moments like this were what mattered, and she was sure that with Tom by her side, there would be many more like this to come.
