He didn't face her, he made like he would go after Sirius.
Saoirse growled low in her throat at her brother. "Take one more step towards Sirius and I will take your pack from you."
The hair rose on the back of her head and her ears came out as well as her fangs and claws.
Linus laughed at her, "Do you actually think you can dominate me? I just nearly killed your husband and you come here thinking you can do any better? Tell me, do you think I'll ever submit to you? Or that my pack will? That must be a joke."
Sirius came to the door with a wine glass of blood and he had put on some black leather clothes and slicked his hair to the side. It had reverted back to normal but a few feathers still poked out here and there. He leaned on the door. "I wouldn't mess with her she can beat you. She has no magic and yet anyone who knows what's good for them listen to her. She is royalty afterall, I've personally educated her. Everything I've learned, I've taught to her. I could beat you too now that I have some blood in me. Maybe that would teach you to be nicer when you visit someone else's house."
Linus narrowed his eyes, "You shut up bird boy."
"I'll tell you what? Sirius said, "If you can beat me then I'll let you challenge your sister. You did say you wanted a fight wolf to wolf right? I can take you on, make me the alpha. That would be a lot better than ruling over a bunch of oversized mosquitoes isn't that right?"
Where was this boys confidence coming from, he had already seen everything that Sirius could muster and he had tossed him around like a rag doll.
Saoirse was still ready to wolf out but she was curious about what Sirius was doing. He hated bullies so if he decided to teach Linus not to walk all over people then she just shrugged and sat down.
Linda sat by Saoirse. "Is he going to be ok?"
Linus started growing bigger and his muscles got tight. His claws got sharper and his fangs got sharper too. Thick brown fur began to cover his whole body and suddenly he was more menacing than a bear. He laughed a deep menacing laugh at his opponent who was only this average sized young adult.
Sirius faced his opponent and then began to grow too. His hands became claws and his face became wolf like. He crouched down to look towards Linus and his red eyes began to glow slightly. He snarled.
Linus wasn't expecting this. He didn't know that there were creatures that could become a wolf besides a werewolf, wasn't this boy a vampire? He wasn't going to be deterred though, he was still the bigger wolf.
The hair on Sirius' back rose slightly and became feathers. Black and white wings sprouted from his back huge and menacing. He seemed to loom over Linus even though his body was slightly smaller and leaner. His claws were bird talons. "It's not so bad being a bird boy is it?" He said snarling.
Linus was angered by this comment. "Let's do this bird brain."
He leapt towards Sirius and soon they clashed in the air teeth and claws biting. Linus tried to rip Sirius' fur out and feathers like before but suddenly it seemed like he had tripled in strength.
Saoirse rolled her eyes a bit. These boys are show offs.
Sirius not only kept up with the power of Linus he also focused on not getting scratched so that Saoirse wouldn't get hurt. He skillfully dodged Linus' claws only to turn around and retaliate. He dodged a lot more than he attacked though. Linus was getting madder.
"I thought you said you were going to fight me!" Linus snarled getting a bit winded after a while of being the one to swipe at him only to be dodged. Sirius had retracted his wings, they had only been to show his power and if he had them out now they would get in his way.
A stray scratch hit Sirius across the face and blood trickled down equal marks on Saoirse's face. She stayed firm backing him up.
Sirius thought that Linus was getting a bit tired so he went to attack back and then Linus was gone. He reappeared behind Sirius and slashed his back. Blood soaked Saoirse's shirt on her back.
Sirius got mad and began swiping more and attacking with his teeth, " quit hurting my wife!"
"She's the one who challenged me, you want to be the alpha you need to toughen up!" Linus yelled back.
Linus began attacking full on at this point appearing beside him with a slash, appearing in front of him with a slash, appearing to the side of him and giving him a slash.
It became apparent that Linus had also been holding back power of his own.
Sirius was getting slashed from all sides now. Saoirse took a drink of blood and closed her eyes to resist the pain. Linda began to worry for her. She put her hand on Saoirse's shoulder so she said, "It's ok he can do it." She said under her breath towards Linda.
Linus was laughing hysterically again, "I'm going to beat you all over again, you're just my prey bird boy."
From the front, from the side, from the back, from above, from the left, from the right, from the front again…
Then Sirius grabbed his neck in his teeth from the right side of him suddenly as soon as he appeared and bit down fiercely holding him in place. He had figured out Linus' pattern.
Linus tried to get away but he couldn't vanish;Sirius had him gripped in a death grip, he couldn't move. He swiped at him unable to turn his head. Sweat was running down his face now he was tired and he could barely breathe. He flopped around in Sirius' grasp like a rabbit that was caught and couldn't get free.
Then his body went limp and he lay there tired and defeated, breathing slowly. Every time a new member of the pack had grown up or joined, or when a wolf married and someone new had joined the pack they had a chance to defeat Linus and his ability to vanish and reappear had kept him at the top, being unable to be hit and definitely no one had pinned him before.
But today he had met a wolf with the strongest jaws he had ever come across. He couldn't get free and teleporting meant he needed to get free, he couldn't do it while touching someone or else they would just teleport with him.
He attempted to do so suddenly.
" I will not let this undead creature defeat me!!!!!!" He yelled angrily.
The two of them disappeared suddenly and reappeared off to the left. Then they did so again, but Linus had rotated them mid air and appeared on top of Sirius before smashing him to the ground. He let go and disappeared again, but Sirius had held on to his shoulder with his hand, digging his claws into his flesh.
Crying out in anger, the girls watched as they began phasing in and out and in and out over and over. Linus was trying to shake him, but Sirius never let go.
Then Linus stopped once again. Sirius knew he wasn't done; his fierce determination in his eyes was still there. He realized that if he didn't quit and Sirius wasn't going to kill him then this would go on until Linus had stopped being tired. He glanced at Saoirse for a second with his beastly eyes and decided he was tired of dragging this on.
He changed his wolf teeth into fangs and plunged them into his neck, piercing something for the first time in 900 years and began drinking Linus' blood.
The cuts on Saoirse began healing.
"What is this—?"
Saoirse's eyes widened, Sirius had never drunk blood with his fangs in all the years she knew him. He was going to kill her brother. She stood up. She knew he probably didn't know how to control himself with so many years of never doing so. His beast had taken too much control.
"Sirius that's enough!" She shouted, "you've defeated him already!"
Sirius' eyes had gone black, he wasn't hearing her.
