"I'm sorry sir, the young miss has gone missing again."
Those were the only words that had Harry come over to the villa, where he had forcibly held Ariana hostage. Actually, he wasn't planning on doing that, rather, she was the one that forced him to act that way.
Ever since she couldn't keep to her own part of their agreement, he had no choice but to try to bend her to his will. It's not like they had fully signed the final contract and she's already giving him this much headache. But he had no choice, rather, did he have the time to search for another willing candidate unlike Ariana's confusing ass.
He had hoped that Ariana would give him what he wanted, after all, she needed the money. But if there's one thing that he has learned all these while about her, it has to be the fact that she's willing to throw away the thousand of dollars that he offered for her best friend,Grace.
That's a stupid move.
One that he won't advise her to make, because it would only end up with the both of them going to jail. Firstly, if he demands his payment for bailing Grace, and Ariana's payment for breaching the contract.
"You had only one job." He said, trying to calm himself down, while looking down at the guard that was kneeling in front of him, scared at the sight of him.
This was why he didn't like working with pathetic and irresponsible people. Who knows what, where and whom Ariana had met. Irrespective of the fact that she had nobody to help her, every rumour has a starting point. What if she has told someone about this arrangement with the Knight's family?
Not only would she be putting her life in danger, but the Godfather won't take it lightly with him that he has committed such a crime, impersonating someone would land one in jail with a huge sentence.
"It's all my fault sir, I couldn't discipline her well." Gina, Ariana's tutor came forward to take the blame for what had happened. Everyone has let their guard down including her too. Ariana has just proved that she was one cunning fellow, which Harry is supposed to be wary off.
There was more to the girl than what he could see.
"I have sent out Leo insearch of her, we hope to hear some good news soon." Gina added, hoping that this will at least calm him down. But all she got from the young man was a scoff at her words.
"And if he doesn't find her? How are you going to take responsibility if she goes ahead to tell someone else about this?" Harry glared at her. He was trying really hard to contain his anger, he wasn't quick to react to anger, no, he wasn't Alexander.
But this past few weeks has stressed him out, it has stressed his mind, body and soul that all he wished for at the moment is to find Selina and put an end to all this drama.
"S..she couldn't have gone far, I believe…" Gina added, trying hard to make him see that this situation hasn't gotten serious. She could care less what happened to Ariana, but for her sake and that of the guard that was incharge of keeping guard on her, she hoped that Leo finds her.
"Oh! Shut it." Harry spat.
He stepped aside to call Caleb, hoping that he could help connect him to one of his tracker friend. Harry knew that if he talks to the third brother, Nathan, to find Ariana, he could do that in a twinkle of an eye, but that's a risk that he ain't willing to take.
Nathan is treacherous like his elder brother, Dante. He won't like to expose Ariana to the dark side of the family that she was soon coming into just yet.
Unfortunately, Caleb wasn't picking up. What has gotten into everyone this morning? Where did he keep his phone?
He has left him incharge at the hospital, while he oversees the preparation of moving Alexander to his private villa away from the family house, as per his grandfather's order.
Since the doctor was done conducting his tests, there was no need to still keep him at the hospitals, in order to avoid any rumours about him circulating, it was best that he gets to stay at his villa away from prying eyes.
He texted Caleb about what's happening hoping to receive an answer from him, but that's only if he sees the texts and when he sees it, it might be too late then.
But Harry pushed the thoughts aside, he didn't want to wait around for Ariana to ruin his plans, before he took his jacket from the chair that it was lying on and attempted to leave, only to stop at the voices in the hallway that was coming close to where they were.
"Leave me alone." Ariana yelled, trying to get out of the grip of both guards who dragged her inside the penthouse, not caring to listen to her.
When Harry heard her voice, a relieved sigh left his lips, maybe he was all worked up for nothing.
He watched Leo drag an unwilling Ariana inside before she was pushed to the couch where she fell, Harry glared at Leo at the harsh treatment, which he swiftly apologized for.
But before Harry could say anything, Ariana rushed over to him and landed a hefty slap on his face which earned the shocked gasps from everyone that was present, especially from Gina, who reacted instantly.
"How dare you.." Gina spat, coming closer to punish the young lady for what had happened, but Harry raised his hands up, halting her from doing anything to Ariana. No one gets to lay a hand on her.
"You lied! You said you are going to allow me to see Grace." Ariana yelled at him, not caring about the consequences of her actions.
But it was too late for her to do anything, with the past few days that had him stressed up, Harry nearly lost his sense of reasoning and could have shot her dead, right there, all it took was little resistance and him remembering his plan for her to hold himself back.
But when he looked up at her, to see the tears building in her eyes. His eyes moved on the wound at the side of her face, who the hell hurt her face?
He wasted no time to bring his gun out from the back of his pants, and shot at Leo who sto down dead immediately, the sound had Ariana jump up in fear immediately.
"Get something to clean her face. No one lays a hand on her, is that clear?" Harry said, turning to look at Guna, who didn't act like she was surprised with what happened, it's not like it's the first time that she had experienced this.
But it was different from Ariana, the moment she turned around to look at the dead body lying on the bloodied floor. A loud scream left her lips which had her fall to the floor, before moving away from Harry.
He killed someone!
He's a murderer!
That was all that was going through Ariana's mind, no one seemed to be calling the police or acting like her. Until everything clicked together, they are in this together.
Who exactly is Harry Smith?
Harry sighed at her reaction, he didn't want to show her this side of him, or Alexander's family anything soon, because he knew that she wouldn't agree to his proposal. But it can't be helped.
She can't run away, no, there's no place to run to anymore. If she loves her life, she will do everything to make sure that she tells no one what she has seen this morning.
"You killed him." Ariana cried, looking at Harry, who looked down at her with a bored expression on his face. He had no human empathy or remorse for what he had done.
I should have listened to Grace.
Ariana mumbled to herself, her greediness had caused her this.
He killed Leo because he hurt her?
Ariahs knew that she didn't like Leo either, but that doesn't guarantee that he kills him, after all, Leo works for him.
"It's all your fault, if you had listened to me and did as instructed he wouldn't have died." Harry said, blaming her as Ariana shakes her head in denial, refusing to believe his words.
"N..no, it's a lie." She mumbled. All she did was try to find Grace, she didn't do it knowing that someone was going to end up dead.
Is he going to report her to the police and make her a murderer?
Harry, who seemed to be reading her every move, came close to her, as she moved away from him, attempting to run away but he dragged her back by her hair as she cried.
"Let me go, I swear i w..won't te..tell anyone about thi..this." She said to him, She's done!
She can't do what he wants anymore.
She doesn't want his money, likewise does she want to become anyone's bride, fiancée or girlfriend. Alexander or whoever else it is can go to hell!
"What a pity! I'm not planning on letting you go," Harry snickered, watching her cry at his words. " Neither am i going to hurt you, but that will be if only you listen to me. So, are we communicating here?"
Ariahs nodded.
"Good." He said, pushing her back on the couch before Gina rushed at her side to treat the wound on her face.
Harry's phone started ringing, he moved aside to pick it seeing that Celeb was finally ringing.
"Where did you keep your phone? I have been calling, you dumbass." Harry attacked him.
But all he got was a laugh from Caleb. "I'm sorry sir, I have been busy arranging some things here."
"What do you mean?" Harry asked with furrowed brows. Is everything alright with Alexander, but before he could ask Caleb beat him to him.
"Sir, the boss is awake. The doctor is running some tests on him right now." Caleb said, looking at Alexander, he seemed to be different, he didn't know how to explain to Harry, so, it was better that he came to see for himself.
"What?" Harry's eyes widened, finally! He went for his car keys instantly. "Does anyone know about this apart from us?"
"No, but we have got a problem." Caleb said, he was whispering this time around, which piqued Harry's ingest. Something was wrong.
"Caleb, I don't understand what you are trying to say. What's happening?" He demanded, leaving the house while rushing for his car keys only to stop at Caleb's next words.
"He doesn't seem to remember what happened. All he did was request for Selina the moment he woke up. He wants to see her right now."
