Chapter 1: Trial
Light split open the dark and his senses returned, Sight, taste, touch, smell, hearing, it was all there, he was fully conscious.
He took a look around and saw three other people who were also beginning to wake up, two girls and a guy. They were all in a mysterious white world, unlike anything he had ever seen before.
'Have I seen something like this before?'
As he tried to remember, he was struck by a splitting headache which brought about several concerning revelations:
He could not remember anything before he woke up, he could not remember anything about himself, and... He was naked, actually, they all were.
"heh.." He suddenly laughed, using it as a joke to distract himself from the fact that there was nothing he could remember.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" A female voice rang throughout the white space, grabbing the attention of everyone in it, who also realized the same thing as the boy.
'Is she ok? Should I go check on her?'
Before anyone could do that though, another voice rang in the white space, this time a childish one, coming from a black box that seemed to come out of nowhere.
[Welcome Everyone! To the first trial of the tutorial!]
"Huh!" the four said in unison.
[You have entered the first of three trials in the tutorial! But before we begin, you must see your statuses!]
As the Black box spoke, an illusory blue screen appeared in front of the boy.

The boy- Zero jumped in fright, but the the screen followed him. Zero looked at the others who had similar reactions, but they had nothing in front of them.
'Can only the owner see it?'
Zero looked at the black box before asking:
"What is this?"
[Excellent question! That is your status screen! It shows your personal information, Heritage, Class, Advancement information, Etc...]
"What does heritage mean?" Zero asked.
[Ah! It shows which ancient beast's blood runs through your veins, and through certain conditions, you will be able to access its abilities and authorities!]
'So why do I have a worm's blood running through my veins?' Zero lamented.
[Anyway! The trial is about to begin!]
The blue screen in front of Zero then changed.
[First trial- Survive]
[objective]: Be the only participant alive.
[reward]: Class selection
[special objective]: Survive without taking damage
[reward]: Random artifact ticket
[failure}]: Death
Zero's eyes twitched, "What?..."
[Good luck! you're going to need it.] The black box then disappeared.
