#AIDEN WILLIAMS POV#
Laying down on my bed, I prepare for my first lesson with Merlin
Which still seems unbelievable but here I am
Closing my eyes, I get comfortable in my bed and go to sleep after a few minutes
I gasp as I feel myself being pulled...somewhere and I sit up, I find myself sitting on a field of flowers that seems to go on forever
"Here we are," I hear Merlin's voice say from behind as I move to stand up
"This is...a dream?" I ask out loud
"Sort of...except that whatever training done here will also affect your physical body and even when you wake up, you will be exhausted mentally and physically, depending on what you do of course," He says while I take in as much information as I can from his explanation about this place
"If you do nothing but study, which we will be doing for some time before moving onto actual spell casting, this will also allow you to get used to being brought here and help mitigate the after effects..."
#TIMESKIP THE NEXT MORNING#
"So, that's what he was talking about," I say to myself as I sit up on my bed
Rubbing my head I groan as while my body may feel...fine, my mind definitely isn't
I feel like that one time, I drank numerous cups of coffee when I was already exhausted
Even though I may not have much to do today, Sir Ector did promise that the mount that I would be given, would be chosen today
I smile at that
My own horse
Quite frankly, I am actually rather excited about it
I only had a pet bird before, then my parents made me kill it in order to get over losing a loved one in my training to become a respectable Magus
Quite frankly as much as I do not exactly like Merlin's...activities which he was more than happy to talk about, I do prefer the way that he was teaching me Magecraft
I didn't really learn all that much that I didn't already know
Mostly talking about the Thaumaturgical System and Equivalent Exchange rules
Which I already knew about so he mostly asked me questions I answered and I was corrected a fair number of times and he helped fill in some gaps in my knowledge
I am incredibly excited to be taught by a Magus like Merlin himself but...
I guess that saying about never meeting your heroes is true
I must never let Merlin know that he was one of my heroes
Changing clothes, I look out the window, and with the sun's position
I still have some time until breakfast
I go around my room cleaning it up as I try to spend some time
After a bit, I begin to head over to the dining hall
Frowning as I look around the hall, I am curious as to where everyone is at the moment
Finishing my meal, I head out to look for them around the manor, only to just shrug and head over to the stables where I am to meet with them
It takes me a few minutes to arrive and once I do, I sit down next to the entrance waiting for it as I do my best to recall Merlin's lessons

I gasp awake as I feel someone dump water on me
I let out a growl as I heard Kay's and Artoria's laughter
"WHY?" I scream out frustrated which only makes them
"Because it is fun," Kay answers as I begin to calm down as I listen to them laugh
I decide to take it in stride and plan my revenge for later
"Anyway... it's time right?" I ask them as Kay calms himself down while Artoria continues to giggle at me
"Yes, your mount is already inside," He says with some pride in his voice
A shiver passes through me as the thought of my own horse comes over me
Opening the doors, Kay takes me over to a stall where I see my own horse
"Around...3 winters or so," I guess saying the first thing that comes to mind
"4 winters, nearly 5 winters now," Kay corrects me and I smile as I notice that it is a he
"Does he have a name yet?" I ask as I open the stall and go inside
I approach him slowly so as to not spook him
I raise my hand to his side as he stares at me with curiosity
I begin to smile again as my hand reaches his side and I pass my hand through his dark brown almost black fur

"No he doesn't have one yet," Kay answers as I glance at him and see him smirk at the way I am acting with my new friend
Artoria has a very wide smile that makes my smile widen as I notice that her eyes are filled with joy
I focus back on my new companion as I go through a small mental list of names I prepared beforehand
Eventually, I settled on one name
"Eadric," I say to him as Eadric turns to me and leans closer to me as I enjoy this moment
A thought enters my mind as I am reminded as I remember that I am in the past
Damn my joy in the current situation
I am trying to find ways to keep my mind occupied in this time period
I guess Eadric becoming my mount was enough to distract me for a short amount of time
An idea comes to mind as I look at him
Could I make Eadric my familiar?
I am going to have to ask Merlin if it would be possible
From what I know about familiars, usually animals like cats and dogs are the animals that get turned into a familiar the most but I certainly never heard about a horse
"Did you bring the saddle?" Kay asks as I blink and rub the back of my neck as I completely forgot about it
"Just go get it, you shall have your first lesson today," Kay says as I nod and pat Eadric on the side
"I'll be back soon," I tell him as I sprint out of the stable
"Will you be joining us?" I hear Kay ask Artoria as I run out of the stable
"Yes, I shall make sure not to interfere with his lessons," I hear her say before I am too far away to hear any more
I can't believe I forgot my saddle
Seriously
Groaning as I reach the manor, I stop as I enter as a chill crawls up my spine as I look around
Strange...
Just now, I felt like someone was watching me
"It's gone now," I whisper as I go inside and head to my room to retrieve my saddle
#THIRD POV#
Something turns its sights away from the thing entering the manor
Its control over humanity wanes
Just like it once split from the consciousness of the world
That foolish girl's wish has cemented humanities separation from it
Unable to interfere in this new path, the thing continues to lose power as humanity continues to split away from it
In anger, it tries once again to set up a newquantum lock on this point in history only to fail once again...
