Chapter 1 - The Umbra.

Chapter one: The umbra.

Ever since i was a young boy, i've always had a huge temper, i was the kid in school who was easily ticked off, or hot headed being sent home from school my mother would always worry, and wonder why i am the way i am, everybody had a bad side i told her, but the more i grew up the more my bad side became more and more of a part of who i am.

A harsh downpour of cold rain scoured the dimmed lighted streets as carriages flash by riding on the muddy road splashing puddles of water on the sidewalk, a mysterious man in a brown robe and leather pants and boots and dark black hair. Walking outside the wooden gates of a medieval like small city. "ID." The guard says in a tired tone while stretching out his hand.

The man hands over a silver badge in the shape of a star inside a circle. "This supposed to be a joke?" The guard asks in confusion, annoyance and anger as he holds the man tightly by his shirt. The man grips his hand tightly in response, breaking it as he leaps from the ground to get on top of the guard's head, using his legs to choke the man to prevent him from calling for help.

"I'm sorry, but you're my kill for the day." The man says undressing the guard and taking his clothing while throwing his body inside the woods right next to the wooden gate. With a prepared and dedicated look on his face the man steps forward. "Clyde? Clyde!" Sabastian yells in his ears, "I can hear you." Clyde says, holding his ear in slight pain while walking.

"Ok, good, I wasn't sure this communication ability was gonna work, y'know with it being my first time and all."

"Get on with it." Clyde says as he walks past a group of guards.

"Okay, i've gotten word from the baker about the mission, can't believe you guys went on about this without me."

"It really isn't all that important."

"Oh really, sure it's just the latest event in a string of events that involves i wanna say mysterious organization, but let's settle on triangle of death, nope that was lame that was…i don't even-"

"Is there a reason you're contacting me? If not, my focus needs to be on the mission." Clyde says entering a small wooden house filled with multiple other soldiers.

"Did you take your medication?" Sebastian asks in concern.

Clyde pauses, "Bye." He says as he blocks Sebastian's ability.

Inside a brick house in the middle of the woods, a man can be seen making some tea. "Dammit." Sebastian says in annoyance.

Clyde stands by the door with another guard, inside the wooden house with different tables filled with food, soldiers socializing and conversing as well as what seems to be high ranking officers of the government.

Clyde glances at a group of people as they walk past him from the entrance towards a room further and deeper into the halls of the wooden house. Zack pyron, current platoon commander of section seven's police force, silca smith, what's the department admin of feylon doing here? And with Nick Armstrong, Something's not right, "hello!!" A sudden scream echoed into Clyde's ears as he loses his composure, "What is it?" Clyde says in anger and annoyance.

"Don't think you're gonna get rid of me that easily." Sebastian responds, "Fine, if you're gonna help, help me make sense of this." Clyde responds. "Hit me." Sebastian says. "What would the department admin of feylon be doing all the way out in grandblue." Clyde says in subtle confusion. "You're right, the great trade isn't for another two months, what gives." Sebastian says in uttar shock.

"I'm gonna go take a deeper look into this." Clyde says as he slowly walks towards a table filled with different types of food in large portions for the soldiers to eat from. He grabs a plate and fills it with some chicken breasts and a small apple pie. "Ah, a simple man I see, ought to be the best combo ever made, I like the way you think." A fellow soldier beside Clyde says "Thanks…"

"Gunther, gunther hague." He says smiling, "Say, you gonna grab that last slice of cornbread?" Gunther says "Help yourself." Clyde says gesturing his hands in a welcoming way for him to grab the cornbread. "Thanks, how's the good life?" Gunther says after glancing at Clyde's badge on his uniform which said section 3.

"Can't complain too much, hey just asking you soldier to soldier, know anything about what's going down tonight?" Clyde says, gunther pauses and breaks eye contact with Clyde as he is now grabbing large portions of food as opposed to the reasonable portions he was taking earlier. He grabs his plate tightly slightly "I don't get what you mean? Is there supposed to be something going down?" Gunther replies, speaking in a high pitched tone and clearing his throat. Clyde smiles, "Oh it's nothing, forget i even brought it up, you have yourself a good day soldier, Bless the sky." Clyde says, "May its radiance shine upon us once more in the promised land, amen you have a good day too soldier." Gunther replies gulping.

Clyde walks towards a table and sits alone. "Did you hear all that?" Clyde says, "Yep, that guy is a horrible liar." Sebastian replies. "More like a stress eater." Clyde says, looking at Gunther's plate from a distance as he walks towards a table. "Can the admin of feylon have an all access key pass to grandblue prison." Clyde says with a pondering look on his face. "I mean, yeah possibly. Why?" Sebastian asks in confusion. "Then that only proves my suspicion." Clyde says as he walks outside.

"So what are you planning to do?" Sabastian asks. "Get some answers." Clyde replied.

Clyde slowly walks in the dirty puddles in the midst of the rainstorm, "Sabastian, cover me." He says as he slowed down his breath almost to a halt as his body blended in the midst of the rain. He slowly walks to the side outside of the wooden house near the room where the important government officials are conversing. "Dude, our main objective this mission was to find more clues on our mystery organization, don't stray away from the mission." Sebastian. "If I'm right about this, then this organization should be the least of our problems." Clyde slowly and stealthy walks past multiple other guards outside the building until he is right beside the window of the room as he listens in. He looks inside the room through the window, inside there are multiple guards surrounding the room and a round wooden table in the middle of the room around that table is 6 figures. "I can't make out 4 of them, but I can recognize 3 of them, Zack pyron, and silca smith and nick armstrong."

"We should have the faunite experiments done by this week." silca says "Good, then we can move on to the next phase, do we have the adequate amount of soldiers needed?" Nick replied. "We can use the lower level soldiers, blame it on the umbra, they were sucked of sunlight so much that their life force gave out and they died." Zack says "Good, that'll give the people something to be in arms about, they'll be pleased with that. Tonight is when the initial sacrifice shall commence."

What sacrifice?" Sebastian says in Clyde's ear. "Silent." Clyde says.

"What was that?" Zack says in suspicion as he looks over to the window. "Shit." Sabastian says. "It's nothing, just the rain, can we finish this? I have a family to get home to. Nick replies. Clyde breathes in relief, "Sabastian give me mist." Clyde says, holding his breath as his body turns into a subtle mist settling into the room through the cracks of the wooden house.

Clyde, now invisible, walks across the room seeing visual triangle square badges on the uniform of government officials. I can't believe my eyes, the very people who we trust to protect us and whom we stand by. Talk about murdering us casually like it's just another afternoon. He says walking across the room to see the visual imagery, a spiked triangle with an eye at the center, that symbol has been at almost every one of our recent missions, what could it mean?

"Now, if that's all, I say this meeting is over." Zack says, "Agreed." The other officials said, They all stand up and walk out the room as their guards follow. In the absence Clyde reveals himself, and pulls out an old, small camera as he takes pictures of the symbols around the room.

As Clyde takes some more photos, his camera cracks, he looks at his hand seeing a red veiny stream rushing all over his body. "Hey Sebastian, what did you say about those pills earlier?" Clyde says as he looks at the completely busted camera in his hand in shock.
