Yuta Kobayashi, a loner 19-year-old first year college student, trudged home from his late shift at the local grocery store. The night was pitch black, the only light coming from the dim glow of the moon and stars. As he walked, a strange distortion appeared in the air ahead, a shimmering, almost liquid-like anomaly that warped the light around it.
*What the hell is that?* Yuta thought, his heart pounding. A shiver ran down his spine as he cautiously approached the peculiar sight. *Should I run? Or should I see what it is?*
As he got closer, the distortion grew, revealing a swirling, multicolored vortex within. *This is insane,* he thought, his mind racing. A sense of dread washed over him, but an overwhelming curiosity compelled him forward. He reached out a trembling hand, and as his fingers touched the edge of the vortex, the world around him seemed to dissolve.
In an instant, he was thrust into a world of wonder and magic. A grand, bustling city stretched before him, filled with people of all shapes and sizes, dressed in vibrant, fantastical attire. Towering structures of stone and crystal pierced the sky, and strange, otherworldly creatures roamed the streets.
Yuta's eyes widened in disbelief as he took in his new surroundings. *Where am I?* he wondered, his mind reeling.
He noticed the people around him staring at him oddly, whispering among themselves. A few pointed at him, their eyes filled with curiosity and suspicion.
Suddenly, a girl with long, jet-black hair and deep, starry eyes appeared in front of him. She had an ethereal beauty, and her voice was soft and calming...
"Come with me," she demanded, her voice filled with authority. "We must go to the Forest of Eldenfell."
Yuta, stunned by her sudden appearance and commanding tone, hesitated for a moment. But something about her drew him in, a sense of destiny, perhaps. Without a word, he followed her into the heart of the city.
"You're a Starfell," the girl explained, her voice laced with both wonder and frustration. "A being of legend from another world. You were summoned here by accident. Unfortunately, you seem to be one without any magical abilities hmmm how strange."
Yuta raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, 'without any magical abilities'?"
"It means you're basically useless," she replied bluntly...
A young man with spiky silver hair appeared beside the girl. He had a bored expression on his face. "Akumu, you're so dramatic. He's probably just a bit lost."
"Don't be so dismissive, Akira," Akumu retorted. "This could be a serious problem."
"Well, whatever the case, we'll figure it out," Akira said, turning to Yuta. "Welcome to the world of Eldoria, I suppose."
"Eldenfell, you idiot!" Akumu corrected her brother, rolling her eyes.
Yuta couldn't help but laugh. "Wait, so you're telling me this is some kind of fantasy world, and I'm here with no magical powers?"
Suddenly, Yuta fell to his knees, wailing. "Why me?! Why did you have to summon me?! Who did this to me?!"
Akumu sighed, facepalming. "I did, idiot. I summoned you."
Akira, who had been patiently waiting, couldn't help but burst into laughter. He started throwing food at Yuta's face, adding insult to injury. "Welcome to Eldenfell, the land of magic and misery."
Akira, seeing Yuta's despair, stopped his playful antics. "Hey, don't lose hope. Everything happens for a reason. Now, eat up."
Akumu rolled her eyes at her brother's sudden change of tone. "Hey, Yuta, you see this grimoire I'm holding? It's a book that can fully examine your true potential. It will give you a certain type of rating based on the previous world you came from and your soul."
Yuta looked at Akumu, his eyes filled with tears. "The world I came from was a terrible place," he sobbed. "Full of heartless, hateful people. A world consumed by endless greed. And my own family... they despised me."
Akira, sensing Yuta's pain, placed a comforting hand on his head. "Don't worry too much," he said softly. "Me and my annoying sister will get to the bottom of this and reveal what's hidden within you."
Akumu's eyes glistened as she opened her grimoire. A soft, ethereal glow emanated from the ancient book as she turned its pages. Placing her hand on Yuta's chest, she began to chant an incantation, her voice echoing through the room.
Yuta closed his eyes, his heart pounding with anticipation and fear. Akira watched with a mixture of curiosity and amusement, eager to see what secrets the grimoire would reveal.
Suddenly, the grimoire began to radiate a dark, sinister light. Akumu dropped the book in surprise as a shadowy figure emerged from its pages. Yuta's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the creature.
Akira, however, seemed unfazed. "Well, well, well," he mused, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Aren't you a special case, Mr. Yuta Kobayashi?"
