Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

After having a long day at school, she was on her way home already, the streets looked lonely, and the illumining yellow light beamed from above as it cast its rays on her each time, she passed it, her mind was void, thinking of a lot, she kept on pondering.

Why do I have such instincts to suspect Bryson and Caspian, are they hiding something or have I just been nervous?

As she kept on walking slowly, she stopped immediately in her tracks, she could someone was with her, she turned around, but nobody behind, she turned back ahead of her and still nobody, "fuck stress", just as she was about taking Another step, she heard a cold voice behind to her, her body was cold, she stood to root there, her heart was beating rapidly, who could that be? She questioned herself silently.

Staring at the black void shadow, she stepped back a bit her eyes were overwhelmed with terror, she could die at that point, the shadow stepped forward revealing a bit of identity only a hint of its eyes sparkling, "Hey," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I've been waiting for you for so long.", "Who are you and what do you want from me" she asked trying to stay calm, she shivered with fear and terror moving back profusely, "I came to warn you about someone," the voice said, she stopped and became more curious about the situation on hand. Aurora's heart skipped a beat as she felt a surge of excitement." And who that's" she questioned. The sparkling eyes seemed to bore into her soul. "I want to talk to you about Bryson," he said. "He's not what he seems." Aurora's curiosity was piqued. "What do you mean by that?" she asked. "Let's just say that Bryson has a reputation for being... ruthless," he said. "You should, be more careful around him." The voice spoke, and Aurora noticed that the shadows around him seemed to be growing longer and darker. She realized that something was already getting off, not aligned, before she could say anything the shadows suddenly disappeared into thin.

Aurora stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. All of a sudden shadow had appeared out of nowhere, warned her about Bryson, and then disappeared into thin air. What could this be all about? She was now on the edge of curiosity and fear. As she walked the rest of the way home, Aurora couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced over her shoulder but saw nothing out of the ordinary. When she arrived home, Aurora's mom was in the kitchen, making dinner. "Hey, sweetie, how was your day?" she asked. Aurora hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "It was fine, Mom," she said finally. "Just a normal day. "Nothing much of fun". Her mom looked at her skeptically, but didn't press the issue on her. "Okay, well, dinner will be ready soon," she said. "Why don't you go do your homework or something? Before it's done" Aurora nodded and headed to her room. As she sat down at her desk, she couldn't help but think about the strange encounter.

What was his motive for warning her about Bryson? And what did he mean by "Bryson's not what he seems"?

Aurora's mind was filled with questions, but she had a feeling that she wouldn't get any answers anytime soon, she ignored it, and just as she was about to clear her mind off, something else occurred. As she began to work on her homework, Aurora noticed a piece of paper in a notebook. It was a note, written in messy handwriting but quite understandable:

"Meet me in the park at 7 pm. Come alone. -C"

"What the hell", Aurora's heart skipped a beat as her instincts told her the note might be from Caspian, it wasn't too obvious to comprehend, but she had a guess. What did he want to meet with her about? And why did he want her to come alone?

After dinner, Aurora helped her mom with the dishes and then excused herself to go to her room. She pretended to work on her homework, but her mind kept wandering back to the note from the unknown. At 6:45 pm, Aurora couldn't take it anymore. She grabbed her jacket and slipped out of the house, telling her mom that she was going for a walk. "Going for a walk, catch up later!"

As she made her way to the park, Aurora felt a mix of excitement and nerves. What was he going to tell her? And why did he want to meet in secret?

When she arrived at the park, Aurora saw a figure waiting for her by the swings. He was dressed in black, and his eyes seemed to gleam in the fading light, his face not visible to her, she walked slowly bit by bit. "Hey," he said, as Aurora approached him. "Thanks for coming.". "Who are you precisely," she asked, just then her mouth dropped wide as the figure who sat by the swings revealed his face to her, his sparkling green eyes made her recognize him at once, she exclaimed, "Caspian", "What's going on here?" she asked, "and hold up, are you a" she was about completing her statement before he added, "Shadow traveler", "yeah I am", Caspian glanced around the park, as if he was checking to make sure they were alone. "I wanted to talk to you about Bryson," he said. "I know you've been spending time with him, and I need to warn you..."

Caspian's voice trailed off, and Aurora felt a surge of curiosity.

What was he going to say? Caspian turned around and noticed something, Suddenly, a loud noise echoed through the park, making Aurora jump. It sounded like someone had kicked over a trash can. Caspian's eyes narrowed, and he grabbed Aurora's arm. "Let's get out of here," he said. "Now."

Aurora followed Caspian as he led her out of the park. They walked in silence for a few minutes, until Caspian finally spoke up. "Where are we going?" Aurora asked with a hint of fear in her eyes, trying to keep up with Caspian's long strides. "Someplace safe," Caspian replied, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "We can't talk about this in public." Aurora's curiosity was piqued. What was Caspian going to tell her? And why did they need to be in a safe place to talk about it? "And what exactly precisely? She still wondered

As they turned a corner, Aurora saw a nondescript building in front of them. Caspian led her inside, and they found themselves in a dimly lit room with no windows. "Where are we?" Aurora asked, feeling a little uneasy and unsure about Caspian's next move. "This is a safe house," Caspian explained. "No one can hear us or see us here. We can talk freely."

Aurora nodded, still feeling a little uncertain. But she trusted Caspian, and she was determined to get to the bottom of things. "So, what's going on?" Aurora asked, looking at Caspian expectantly. Caspian took a deep breath before speaking. "Bryson is not who you think he is," he said. "He's been hiding something from you, something big." Aurora's eyes widened in surprise. What could Bryson be hiding? And why was Caspian telling her all this out of the blue?
