Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Psychic

After finishing a pleasant lunch, although Miltank isn't very talkative, she integrated into the team. And since she's a girl, both Murkrow and Gastly take good care of her. Even Gastly, who is usually mischievous, puts in the effort to make her laugh.

During the afternoon, Cain stayed in the room making Pokéblocks, while the Pokémon continued with their internal training, just as they had done in the morning.

Currently, Murkrow is carrying a 10 kg weight. This weight affects his speed, but it doesn't greatly limit his combat capability.

As for Slowpoke, everything in the room has become an object he controls with his psychic powers. His control over his psychic abilities is becoming increasingly precise, lifting each object and placing it in its proper spot, which enhances his mastery of his powers.

Gastly, due to the space limitations, can't train his special moves, so his training focused on physical exercises throughout the day. He's left his mark in every corner of the room.

Miltank, who joined the training for the first time, wasn't very accustomed to it, but it's evident she's making an effort to fit in.

Today, Cain assigned her simple tasks: doing some basic physical exercises to restore her body's condition, as she had been locked up for a while, and producing some milk to replenish the energy of the Pokémon. All the remaining milk was stored in Cain's spatial ring.

Although the training was tough, watching her companions train so diligently filled Miltank with motivation.

Cain collected the last completed Pokéblocks. With this, all the purchased materials had been turned into high-quality Pokéblocks, enough to feed the Pokémon for over a month.

A month's worth of food will cost more than a million Pokédollars, and with more Pokémon joining and getting stronger, they will eat even more. Earning money has become an urgent need.

After storing all the Pokéblocks in his storage space, Cain finally had time to review the psychic training manual that Sabrina had left him.

He had read a brief introduction before, explaining how a psychic should use their abilities.

Currently, Cain can barely lift a small pebble the size of a thumb with his psychic power, and not for very long. Overall, it's not very useful.

"I hope this book has more useful information," Cain thought as he looked at the thin manual.

However, when he started reading the content, he became completely absorbed. A whole new world opened up before his eyes.

Two hours later...

"Phew." He exhaled deeply. Although it was just a few-page book, it took Cain two hours to read it.

It turns out that both psychics and Aura Power users, known as Aura Warriors, have similar classifications, ranging from the initial level to intermediate, advanced, and finally, the maximum level.

The book didn't describe the classifications for Aura Power or Aura, but it did dedicate quite a bit of space to explaining the classifications for psychics.

Among psychics, there's an item called the Telekinetic Pearl, which isn't very expensive but allows one to assess the level of a psychic. It also works for Pokémon.

When a psychic can lift a hundred orbs, they're considered an initial-level psychic. If they can lift a thousand orbs, they're intermediate-level, and if they can lift ten thousand orbs, they're advanced-level.

The book didn't describe how a maximum-level psychic is classified, possibly because the author didn't know of its existence or because such a level is just a conjecture.

"I don't know what level Sabrina is at, but if she hasn't reached the maximum level, then very few in this world could have."

Another part that caught Cain's attention was the talent classification among psychics.

That's right, just as Pokémon have different levels of potential, each psychic has a unique talent, and this talent largely determines how far they can go.

The minimum requirement to awaken psychic abilities is to have five times the mental capacity of an average person. According to what Slowpoke explained to him, Cain barely meets this threshold, and if it hadn't been for Sabrina's psychic stimulation, he probably never would have awakened his powers.

People with five times the mental capacity of an average person have the lowest talent level. The book mentions that if they train consistently and are lucky enough, they might become initial-level psychics in about thirty years.

Upon reading this, Cain almost threw the book away. Thirty years? By the time he becomes a psychic, it'll be too late to be useful.

It's worth noting that some of the basic abilities of psychics, such as telepathy, can only be used once they become initial-level psychics.

And according to the description in this book, Cain probably won't have any relation with telepathy in his lifetime.

With patience, he continued reading. He discovered that those who awaken with ten times the mental capacity of an average person are considered "ordinary psychics" and have the possibility of reaching the initial level in about five years.

If they awaken with twenty times the mental capacity of an average person, they have a possibility of reaching the intermediate level, but it's only a possibility.

To become an intermediate-level psychic, one needs to have fifty times the mental capacity of an average person upon awakening, which would also give them a chance to reach the advanced level.

The book didn't detail talent classifications beyond this.

Aside from all this, most of the book explained how to use basic psychic abilities, like the levitation Cain had been practicing with small stones.

There were a few pages marked as important, describing the basic training methods. This is why Sabrina had left the book for Cain.

Cain tried to follow the instructions to meditate but found that he couldn't enter the meditation state described in the book. He spent two hours sitting without achieving anything.

"System, scan and record the content of this book, and search the database for any methods to quickly improve mental capacity or psychic abilities," Cain ordered in his mind.

"Beep! Database is being created. Searching for information. Estimated time for results: three days. Time remaining: two days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, 30 seconds."

Seeing that it would take three days, Cain accepted it. Then, he set a new task: "System, calculate how long it would take me to become an initial-level psychic."

"Beep! Task set. Estimated time to become an initial-level psychic: thirty-one years. Time remaining: thirty-one years."
