It was 2013 in Japan in the city of Tokyo. The streets were filled with employed men and women making their way to work and also students who were trying to quickly get to school. Local business owners of supermarkets, restaurants and cafes started to open up at this time and It was a windy and cold morning due to the time of the year. The first train arrived at the station and a man who had on no form of protection from the snowy cold time such as a coat or even a scarf sat down on a bench while it was snowing on him.
People who passed by where staring at him weirdly while they whispered to each other. "Is he okay? Poor guy his wife must have divorced him" whispered a middle aged woman. "Isn't he cold? If he stays their he'll freeze to death, is he stupid "? Asked a man. "Mommy, what's wrong with that guy, he looks really cold". " Don't stare at him dear come on let's go" said a woman as she walked pass him. "Today makes six years, since that day huh" said the man to himself as he looked up into the white sky unfazed by the cold and temperature.
A group of high school girls were walking by and chatting. "Hey, Hanako, did you get to finish the homework we got?" Asked one of the girls. "Yes, it was really challenging but my dad help me understand it" said Hanako with a gentle smile. " Oh, really great, you have such an amazing father unlike mine who lazily sits down around the house and does nothing but watch TV" said one of the girls as all of them laugh.
As the girls continued walking and made their way to school Hanako turned to her right and noticed the man just sitting there in the snow with nothing but a blank expression as the gets covered with it. In response Hanako quickly turned back and started running. "Hanako where are you running off to?" Asked one of the girls concerned.
"Don't worry about me, I'll catch with you guys see you at school later" she said as she quickly walked over to the man and held her umbrella over his head. The man who noticed the umbrella looked up to see Hanako standing behind him. "Um mister, are you okay?" She asked worryingly. Who knows, I don't feel anything right now but emptiness he said.
"Well if you stay here any longer sir, you'll definitely catch a cold or even worst freeze to death" said Hanako. "Here hold on to the umbrella I'll be right back" she said as she ran off to a store and spent her allowance on a scarf and a warm jacket and a warm meal for the man. She then made her way back to the bench and cleared off all the snow off of him then she wrapped the scarf around him and put the snow coat around him to keep him warm.
" There you go, that feels much warmer doesn't it"? Asked Hanako as a gentle smile was visible on her face. She then handed him the warm meal and told him to eat up in order to not only stay warm but replenish his strength." I wish I could stay a little while longer but I have school to attend so see you and be sure to come of the cold she" said as she walked off.
Thanks for that, little girl mumbled the man as he started eating the meal she bought for him. Alot of fuss and noise were made at a local police station by a bunch of small time detectives and officers while they tried to piece together information. "Crap, the son of a bitch strikes again and we couldn't do nothing about it" said an Officer enraged.
"It's not your fault kid, he's just too good at hid work" said a detective. "Yes, but this time he actually took a life and we couldn't have done anything to help these people makes you wonder what purpose you serve and question your position as an Officer" said another police.
" if we don't hurry up and catch this bastard soon, this man will not be the last victim" said a detective." What's going on in here? What's all the fuss about?"Asked a woman as she stepped into the office. "Deputy Kirihara , you've finally made it". "Cheif Kurosawa what's the status on those missing girls cases?"Asked the deputy concerned.
We still don't have much leads on the whereabouts of those girls however that's not why I called you in today said the chief in a non caring tone. What could be more important than finding out if these girls are still alive or what happened to them? In the span of only one month a sum of seventeen girls ranging from high school and college are missing.
There's no way we can put the case on hold not when their's a change that some of them might be alive out there said Deputy Kirihara dissatisfied with the chief's response. I'm not asking you to drop this case, I'm ordering you to so just shut up and listen said the Chief.
Over the span of a year we have been getting calls and photos of men who were either injured badly or killed with no possible leads. Well after further outsourcing and investigations we finally got ourselves a name. The name of who and what makes him so important to drop my case.
Here take a look for yourself said the Chief as he threw down the photos on his desk. These are... said Kirihara shocked. The person responsible for this beats the men to a bloody pulp and sometimes he does it beyond recovery. And how we've been able to track his damage was through a little hubby he has and that amputating the thumb and index finger of his victims.
There are even some instances where he cuts of their sacks and wieners he's quite the troublesome one said the chief. And just the other day we found the lifeless bodies of ten men in a warehouse and his signature trademark the amputation of their index and thumb so more or less those deaths are related to him. And you want me to track down a man that's capable of this much damage? Asked Kirihara.
It's not like you'll be alone, you can request any amount of Officers you wish to bring along with you. And do you have a name for this man? Well the surviving victims said that he goes by the name of black sparrow. I see, this might be a whole lot bigger than my pay grade but I'll try to get this situation under control said Kirihara.
What I wonder is why does this man only amputated these specific body parts, is there something going on that only he knows?
