Why did it have to be me? Why did I have to miss the last bus? For crying out loud I already had to work a double shift this week just to pay this month's rent. Live in Washington D.C they say. They have great benefits for the community they say. Look at me not even making ends meet. No, think positively Cleo you could be homeless. How much money do I have left maybe I could get an Uber? * (Account Balance: *$25.00) * Only $25 no way I'm spending it on a uber I'm better off walking. It's only a 10-minute walks from here anyway just as I start to walk in the direction of my apartment complex. This random car drives by slowly freaking me out I walk faster because I have no plans of being kidnapped. Only for the car to speed up in return and come to a sudden halt in front of me as the windows roll down. I peer inside to the backseat to see a man who looks like he belongs on my tv screen. His smooth, olive skin that seems to glow in the depth of the night. His dark, almond-shaped eyes are deep and mysterious, drawing you in with their intensity. His perfectly groomed, jet-black hair frames his chiseled jawline and strong cheekbones. His smile is warm and inviting, revealing a set of straight, white teeth. Overall, he exudes a sense of charm and sophistication that is impossible to ignore. Even with that smiling face there still seems to be a hint of coldness that can't be faked. Before I can speak, he asks how to get to Georgetown in a deep commanding voice and as I point him in the right direction, I can't help but think he must be well off to be going there. As I turn away to continue on my way, he stops me once more and insists on giving me a ride back to pay back my kindness. An as any sane person would I reject the offer so I could avoid the worst-case scenario. He looks at me for a little before winding up the window and signaling the driver driving off in the other direction. As he does, I feel this cold chill run down my back, so I hurriedly get home as to avoid any other weirdos tonight.
I wake the next Moring to the sounds of my landlord pounding on my door. As I hurriedly put on clothes leaving me in nothing but an oversized shirt and underwear to meet him at the door. The first thing he tells me is I need to be out by the end of the week. Which is insane considering its already Friday. Giving me two days to move does he think I'm a fool. I agree to be out of here by then just to get him out of my face, but I feel his creepy gaze scanning my body. So, I give him a little piece of my mind and bring up the fact I could tell his wife about the meetings with his little girlfriend. His face quickly bushes red as he turns to walk away. I slam the door shut and to go check my saving account. At least I have a little money saved up so I can afford to move to a new apartment by the end of the week. I go take a shower and everything else I need to before heading out for the day for work. *After work*
As I'm standing at the bus stop, I get a call from my best friend Madsion. I meant to call her anyway to see if I could stay with her until I find a new apartment. She calls and tells me about a party happening at this club that just open up. I'm not the club type of girl I'm more into staying at home cuddly up with a good book and watching holiday movies. I would simply tell her I won't go but when she insists something she will get it whatever it takes. I agree to go and in return she has to let me stay for a few days. She then tells me she would have let me stay even if I said no. I think to myself "I feel got somehow'' as I continue to wait on the bus.
