"It seems like the madam is fine." The woman's voice woke me up. It seemed like the woman was worried about her mistress.
I slowly opened my eyes. "Madam, are you awake?" asked the strange woman dressed like a servant. "Who are you?" I asked as I woke up in a room with a royal feel.
"I am Jane, your personal maid. Don't you remember me?" Jane asked, with a worried expression.
Ah, I hate her expression.
"Okay Jane, tell me what really happened? Why did I lose my memory? And who am I?" I asked Jane. I was trying to adapt to this ridiculous situation.
"My lady is Duchess Mintira Glariand. You are twenty-two years old. You are married to Duke Glariand. You have been married for three years. You have been unconscious for four days due to a carriage accident." Jane explained to me.
The atmosphere became silent, Jane stared at me intently. I was reviewing the brief information before asking another question. "So, what is my relationship with my husband? Are we harmonious or otherwise?" I asked Jane again.
Jane took a deep breath. "Okay I understand, it seems like our relationship is only on paper. Does he having an affair ?" I asked again, this time Jane nodded her head.
Jane and I took a deep breath, "Jane, it seems like I have bad luck." I said.
"I think we both have bad luck, madam." Jane said. Again we sighed at the same time. "More precisely, I failed in both life and love, and so did you who served this useless madam." I said.
I'm actually confused as to why I'm in this foreign world. Even our names are the same. What really happened... Only God knows.
"Let me help you get ready, madam. It's time for you to have breakfast with Mr. Duke." Jane warned me. I just nodded.
Well, basically I just go with the flow of this world. Let's see what happens next.
After finishing getting ready. I was amazed to see myself in the mirror. I didn't expect the real Mintira to have such a beautiful body and face. "You look very beautiful today, madam." Jane complimented me. Making me blush.
I lightly hit Jane's shoulder, we both laughed together. Maybe because we were both the same age. I considered Jane my sister. Even though she had to treat me differently.
Until the time came for me to go to the dining room. "Duchess Mintira has arrived." Jane said as she opened the grand door. No matter what, the real Mintira was very lucky to find a man this rich.
"Good morning, Mr. Glariand." I said, greeting him. Well, I only know his last name.
Glariand was stunned, "What did you say?" he asked to make sure. "Good morning?" I said doubtfully.
Glarian took a deep breath, then he continued to eat the dishes in front of him. I told you I was just going with the flow. I also ate other luxurious dishes. When else can I eat these expensive dishes.
"Have you signed the divorce papers?" he asked suddenly. It made me choke. I raised my middle finger to make him wait.
"Just surprised me. Do you know that I had an accident that made me lose my memory? I just woke up, and you're already asking me for a divorce? Okay, give me the damn paper. Let me sign it. Besides, you've never touched me, slept with me, it's useless to have a handsome face but often cheat on me." My sharp scolding seemed to really offend Glariand even though I didn't care.
Glariand didn't say a word, just told his aide to go and give me the divorce papers. "Hmm, so you want to see me sign them in person? Okay." I said in a tone that sounded arrogant.
"Here," he said as he handed me a piece of paper. "Jane, before I sign it. How was my previous signature?" I asked Jane. Jane nodded and jogged away from me to get some documents to use as examples.
Of course. There's no way I would sign it with my real signature!
After signing it, I took a sip of the coffee I had been drinking. "Hmm, it's still hot." I said as I held the cup of coffee. I stood up and poured water on the damn man's head. Glariand was shocked and spontaneously slapped me.
"Wow, thanks for the parting gift. I'll remember it until I die." I said, then walked away from the dining room.
"Madam!" shouted Jane who was following me.
"I'm not a madam, just call me miss. It's more comfortable than that damn madam." I was annoyed.
"Let me follow you, miss. Wherever you are. I will always follow you." He said. Honestly, I was a little touched by Jane's statement, the girl I met a few hours ago.
"Okay. Besides, the allowance can keep us alive for the next forty years." I said proudly. Jane nodded.
