A heavy rain pours from the sky. Puddles formed on the ground. The atmosphere filled with fog. The only light were the street lamps.
Miyasi, 25 and a working adult, was holding an umbrella, walks down the street walk beside an empty road. Her footsteps and the rain being the only sound that emits. It had been a long day of work and all she wanted to do was get home.
She stopped beside a traffic pole, she pressed the button and waiting for the pedestrian crossing light to turn green
The atmosphere started becoming foggy. Miyasi continue standing still, staring at the ground. She knew what was coming.
A man appeared beside her. He was wearing a jacket. It was torn and had small cuts all around it. It's face was not visible, being covered by the shadows of his hood and the long fringe of his hair. Miyasi clinged onto the umbrella handle.
"Do you love him"
The man whispers faintly but Miyasi could hear every single word of it. Miyasi, trying to not look at the man, continues standing still while holding the umbrella handle tightly.
"Do you love him" The man asks again calmly, this time slightly louder than before. Miyasi's face trembles with guilt. She wanted to ignore him but she couldn't.
"Do you love him.."
The man asks once again, it's voice echoing inside of Miyasi's head. She couldn't take it anymore and ran across the pedestrian crossing. The light was still red.
As Miyasi reached her house. She rushed in and slammed her door shut. She sat down on her couch, pondering what had happened. Why did she ran off? Why was she scared? She didn't knew. Tears formed in her eyes as she slowly starts remembering something. A dream? No. Her past.
It was raining heavily. A teenage girl sat by a swing. Bruises covers her face and arms. She looked down at the ground while sobbing. Suddenly a boy comes up infront of her, holding an umbrella.
"You know it's not good to cry out here" the boy says with a gentle expression.
The girl looks up at him with tears still covering her eyes.
"Go away.. It's none of your business.." the girl replied back with a hint of arrogance. She didn't knew how to respond to an act like this.
The boy sat on the swing beside hers but pulled down his umbrella, letting himself be drenched by the rain. The girl looked at him with a surprised look. As the boy sat on the swing, he looked at her with a smile this time.
"What's your name?" The boy asks with his gentle voice. The rain almost blocking out his voice.
The girl looks at him in confusion, she didn't knew why this random boy was talking to her suddenly. The girl looks down at the ground again and replied,
"Miyasi"
The boy looks at her and smiled. He extends his hand
"Nice to meet you Miyasi, I'm Hikaru.." the boy replies with a cheerful smile despite the wetness of the rain.
Miyasi cuts back to present. She stood up from her couch and decided to get some water in the kitchen. Her apartment had 3 rooms, a toliet, Miyasi's room and...
Miyasi got the water from the kitchen, she drank it slowly, still thinking about the mysterious man that keeps talking to her by the pavement. As she took another sip of water, she suddenly heard banging sounds which shook her. The sounds were like fists punching the door loudly. Each time the sound getting louder. It came from the hallway that connects to the 3 rooms. The 3rd room..
Miyasi froze in fear while clenching onto her water cup. She didn't had the courage to check the origin of sound. She couldn't..
"Mi-ya-si..." a soft eerie voice came from inside the 3rd door. It was loud enough for Miyasi to hear clearly. Was it real? Was she dreaming? It can't be real right.. right?
"Miyasi.. I love you.." the eerie voice spoke out again from the room. Miyasi dropped the cup as she heard that. She felt shiver down her body, it was as if everything became cold all the sudden.
"Miyasi.. I love you.." the voice echoes from inside the room but this time, the voices weren't the only sound.. The door creaks open slowly.. Miyasi could see the shadow of the door opening. She was too scared to move, her face frightened.
"Miyasi... I love you.."
Long skinny arms moved out of the room, it was about the length of the door it opened. It was so skinny, it's unable to tell if there were even flesh on that thing. The lights went dimmed. Miyasi, still in shocked, tried to run to the exit door of her house without the looking back. Her keys. Where were her keys. She swore she had them in her pockets. The door wouldn't open, locked shut.
"Miyasi.. I.. Love.. You.."
Miyasi turns back, a tall figure towers over her. Long arms, legs and torso. They were all boney, each body parts they moved made a crack noise. Both it's arms and legs were on the ground, the creature was in a crawling position, almost as if it couldn't walk. It's head. No it's face. It looked like.. No.. It couldn't be..
Broken nose, half of its jaw is missing. His right ear was gone. The creature's hair covers half of its face, but she could make it out who it was. Or at least she thinks it was who that person is.
"Miyasi.. I love you.."
The creature's face goes closely towards Miyasi while whispering that same phrase.
Miyasi now on the ground leaning against the door, she was frozen to shock. Her eyes teared up, she was horrified. Not at the freakish look of the creature. No. She was horrified to see him again..
"Hikaru.." Miyasi whispered softly from her breath in shock and fear..
