Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Ning Waner's resolve

Midnight, Ning Waner was observing, stunned by the incredible changes coursing through her body. Her surprise quickly turned into excitement as she examined herself more closely. It was as though the invisible shackles that had bound her body for so long had finally been released.

She flexed her hands, marvelling at the surge of strength flowing through her limbs. Her muscles felt lighter, her blood coursed smoothly, and her body brimmed with vitality. Although her body strength had not grown much, blood vitality and muscles had transformed. After all, she was a genuine foundation realm expert before practising the yin-yang fusion art. Her body strength was already a lot stronger. But what caught her attention most was the strange comfort she felt in her soul.

For years, a constant, dull pain had plagued her — the result of the lingering soul poison she had been unable to expel. It had gnawed at her, draining her strength and clouding her mind. Yet now, that torment had lessened significantly, reduced to a faint shadow of what it once was.

Her heart began to race as an idea struck her.

'Could it be? Could Lestes' Yang qi cure my soul poison?'

The thought sent a jolt through her. It was absurd, yet the evidence was impossible to ignore. The Yang qi she had absorbed during their dual cultivation hadn't just refined her body — it had soothed her very soul.

Her cheeks flushed crimson as her mind wandered further.

'If a little Yang qi had this effect…' she thought, biting her lip, 'what would happen if I... squeezed a bit more out of him?'

The moment the thought formed, her face turned red hot. "What am I even thinking?!" she muttered under her breath, her voice barely above a whisper. The boldness of the idea made her cringe inwardly, but she couldn't deny the temptation tugging at her heart.

The poison in her soul had tormented her for too long, holding her back from reaching her full potential. If there was even the smallest chance that Lestes' Yang qi could cure it completely, she had to take that chance.

She clenched her fists, her eyes burning with newfound determination. It didn't matter how embarrassing it was, she would endure it. If it meant breaking free from the poison's grip, she had no choice.

"I'll just… ask him, wouldn't he mind?" she whispered to herself, trying to sound resolute

but no matter how she tried to imagine it, her face remained bright red. Taking a deep breath, calm herself, she stood up and straightened her robes. She couldn't let herself falter now.

With her mind made up, she stepped out of the tent into the cool night air. The forest was silent, the moon casting a faint glow over the clearing as she walked toward Lestes' tent. Her steps were steady, though her heart pounded with every step she took forward.

We already had sex once it wouldn't matter having sex a few more times, right?" she reminded herself repeatedly. 'It's not as only I will benefit, he would also enjoy".

But no matter how she framed it, her flushed cheeks betrayed her embarrassment.

Lestes sat cross-legged, meditating as he examined the transformation within his body after stepping into the Qi Condensing Realm. His meridians pulsed with newfound energy, and his refined qi flowed like a roaring river. Slowly, he opened his eyes, which glimmered with a radiant brilliance, as if reflecting the stars themselves. The surge of strength coursing through him was invigorating his bones and muscles, and the qi had reached new heights. With this breakthrough, his confidence soared, and a faint smirk tugged at his lips. This was only the beginning, yet the power he now held was already overwhelming.

He spread his palm, a string of the qi condensed above, he looked at the qi and examined it with his divine sense. He was satisfied with condensed qi, although he still yet to test its power. He could feel overwhelming compressed power in the qi. He stored it back in dantian. He was happy with the result.

'Should I visit one of them?' A fleeting thought crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed it. They had just acquired a new technique and needed time to comprehend it fully.

"They're probably focused on recovering their peak and don't want any distractions," he muttered. "Let them be. I should get some rest."

Lestes was just about to rest when his eyes flashed with surprise—Ning Waner stepped into his tent.

"What brings you here?" he asked, his calm tone masking his curiosity.

Noticing her flushed cheeks and hesitant demeanour, a faint smile tugged at his lips. He could already guess her intentions, but he wanted to hear it from her directly.

Ning Waner shifted uncomfortably, her face growing redder and her body became hot under his gaze. Her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came out immediately. Lestes patiently waited, his sharp eyes gleaming with quiet amusement as the silence hung between them.

Looking at her, Lestes sighed softly and stood up from the bed, walking toward her. His steady steps made her heart race, a mix of nervousness and excitement flooding her mind. Countless thoughts swirled as she stood frozen.

Stopping before her, Lestes gently placed a hand beneath her chin, tilting her face upward. Their eyes met, locking in an unspoken moment. Her breath hitched as his intense gaze lingered, moving down to her soft, red lips. A faint warmth spread across her cheeks, and the air between them grew heavy with tension, as though time had slowed to a crawl.

Without hesitation, he leaned in close, his gaze locked onto hers. Then, he gently pressed his lips to hers without wasting more time. The kiss was swift, almost urgent as if a silent understanding passed between them. It was a moment of connection, one that didn't need words. The world seemed to pause around them, the air thick with unspoken emotions.

Ning Waner gently reached up, her fingers brushing against Lestes' neck before her hand settled, pulling him closer. Without a word, she leaned in, her lips meeting his in a soft, lingering kiss. She wrapped her hand around his neck.

Her heart raced, a mix of excitement, pleasure and embarrassment swirling within her. She had never anticipated this, yet it felt like the only thing that made sense. The kiss deepened, tender and full of passion. Right now she already had forgotten everything only thing she remembered was pleasure and enjoyment. She wanted to enjoy herself, and at the lake, she had sex for the first time, at that time although she was doing whatever her master asked her to do she didn't enjoy it much, just a little bit.
