Chapter 5- Becoming Chunin
Now sitting my team is shocked at my display with the Earth Release.
"We knew you were good with Earth Release, but we didn't know you were that good. Did you create that jutsu?" Haruto asks astonished.
"Yes, I created it some days before the chunin exams." I say nonchalantly watching the third match.
They look at me with wide eyes but I don't pay attention to them. The third match is coming to a close. It is between a short, brown-haired woman and a medium height black haired man. The woman seems to have better taijutsu and is faster than him, while he has better ninjutsu and higher raw physical strength. The woman gets a good hit in on him that disrupts him and she takes advantage of it taking him out.
The fourth and final match of the first round is between Takashi and a woman with long black hair, average height and she duals wields short swords. 'Interesting' I think. No one in the Naruto canon does that. With the sound of ref, the match begins. Taskashi rushes her while throwing kunai towards her. She jumps back and performs the hand signs for [Water Release: Water Bullet] hitting the ground in front of Takashi causing him to stumble back a little and lose sight of the woman. He looks around not finding her until he a premonition from above. Dodging back, she narrowly misses him. She now has her short swords out and is fighting with kenjutsu. Shes good but Takashi is better. He pulls out a kunai and get close feigning and dodging. Catching a slip in her defense he goes in and stabs her in the side. She stops for a second, and Takashi comes down with a powerful left hook knocking her out and securing his win.
We are given an hour break until round two. The first match will be Tomomi and I then the second fight will be between the brown-haired woman and Takashi. During the break I congratulate Takashi for his fight and then turn to Tomomi. Before I could even say anything, she speaks first.
"Don't go easy against me. We've been a team for a while I know what you're capable of. I want to push myself further beyond and break my limits. Thow everything you have at me."
"Are you absolutely sure you want that? I won't say you aren't strong, but I haven't gone all out before I don't want you to get hurt badly."
"Are you calling me weak! You may've been top of the class but I've been training nonstop. I may not get to show off like you and Takashi, but I'm still strong. That's why we were on a team together. We were the 3 strongest in school!" She screams and storms away. Maybe not the best thing to say to her but oh well.
With the break ending the first match of the second round starts. I go and try to talk to Tomomi but she gives me a sneer and goes into the arena. 'I did this to myself. I'm sorry Tomomi, but I'll show you the gap between us.' I sigh and head into the arena. Right as the ref starts the match I speak to Tomomi.
"Tomomi I'll stop holding back for this round and show you why I was asking if you really wanted me to stop holding back." With that I take off my weights and drop them on the ground. Don't forget I have Hyper Regeneration, and I've never taken the chakra wights off, I've only ever increased the weight of them. They hit the ground literally shaking the ground and the stadium surrounding us. Tomomi eyes go wide and before she could even say or do anything I'm in front of her and knock her out. The stadium goes quite the only people who could see me are probably the Kage but not well. Getting my weights I put them back on and carry Tomomi to the medic area.
Getting back to the stands Haruto looks at me with a strange look then turns back to Takashis match. It is coming to an end with Takashi winning. The finals will be held in 30 minutes.
30 minutes later Takashi and I are in the arena. With the starting he rushes me and sends a [Wind Release: Wind Blade] towards me. I put up an [Earth Release: Earth Wall] and then use hiding like a mole jutsu to go underground. Takashi jumps over the wall and doesn't see me. He looks up expecting me to come from above. My hands come from underground and grab he feet, pulling him in the ground. Coming back to the surface I pull my sword and point it towards his neck. He sighs and surrenders.
With that the final match ends and the chunin exams are over. We will the results in a couple of days. I pull Takashi from the ground and we head over to Haruto and Tomomi.
"Good job guys. Let's go eat barbeque." Haruto says already walking towards the place. We sigh at his antics when it comes to barbeque.

'You've been hiding well. How do I get you on my side?'
Ryohei POV
Days passed and we got our results. We all passed to chunin. With the passing we took a couple of weeks off then started to do missions. We took harder C-ranked mission more and sometimes even the odd B- rank mission.
Months pass, it has been 4 months since we became chunin and nothing of note has happened besides Takashi almost being assassinated on a mission, I believe it was Danzo, who wouldn't. Don't know why he would attack Takashi tough. Maybe to get to me? Turn me to the dark side and swoop in and brainwash me. Who knows.
I've been thinking about becoming a jonin though. A month after becoming a chunin I got a quest.

Rewards- 1,000,000 ryo, summoning contract- Ravens.]
Don't know why I didn't get this when I was a genin or when I first became a chunin. I'll probably ask Haruto to recommend me to be one and if that doesn't work, I'll take a jonin exam.

What do you think? It's the 5th chapter and we aren't done yet. I'd say that's a step up from my last novel.
