Is it good that I die? Would everyone finally be happy if I died? But I-I dont want to die...I want to live!..."
*Whoosh crraack-boom!*
Isshin's anger materialized into a wave of of blue energy and black-blue lightning, as the wave spread over the entire village, knocking out the terrified villagers who pissed their pants and skirts, before he controlled himself, calming down as he patted her back, consoling her as she continued to cry, letting out her tears, her pain, her loneliness that she carried for the entirety of her short, miserable life.
"Listen closely, little one. I make you this promise: never again will you endure such pain, such despair, or the helplessness you felt when you couldn't save your uncle. You will grow strong—strong enough to protect everyone you love and hold dear."
"Master won't abandon Mio, right? Master won't die and leave Mio alone, right?"
"Kuhahaha! I am not so easy to kill, little one. Trust in your Master, for I am the strongest."
"Now, wait here for a while, so that your Master can go to the village to stock up a bit. We don't have vegetables, and they should still have some, since the farms weren't targeted by the pirates, and were spared from the scorching flames." he said, as he jumped off the ship's deck, landing on the ground, before leisurely walking towards the village.
...
*Sometime later*
A man, who had been knocked out by the wave emitted by Isshin, finally woke up.
"Urgh... what was that? Why am I lying on the ground? And that primal fear I felt, what could have caused that? Could it be... Ghosts? Did that Child of Disaster lead them to this village? I knew I should have killed her, and not just have banished her into the forest. Sometimes, one must get their hands bloody, for the greater good of the people." the man nodded to himself, as he felt that he was a dark hero, responsible for protecting the village from the evil spawn of the devil.
"Hoho! You put your hands on the little one, and prepare to lose your head." he suddenly heard a voice from behind.
Only one person had that voice, and only he called the Child of Disaster, "little one".
"L-l-lord Isshin! What brings you here?! How may I be of service to your Lordship?" he bowed and scraped on the floor, not daring to meet Isshin's eyes, all thoughts and day dreams of being a dark hero, protecting the village against the elements of Evil, disappearing from his mind in an instant.
"Hmph. Truly, the people of this village lack spine. Well, that was to be expected, when you would blame a little girl for anything ominous, without good reason."
"Anyway, let me get straight to the point, as I do not want to be near such cowardly and superstitious people any. I want these vegetables in a duffel bag." he said, as he mentioned a list of various healthy vegetables, covering the many parts of the nutrition table, making sure that Mio would have no vitamin or mineral deficiencies as she would grow.
"Also, let me give you a piece of Advice. Remember this for the remainder of your insignificant lives, it will serve you well."
" A child that is not embraced by her village, will burn it down to feel it's warmth." Saying so, he turned his back on the slowly awakening villagers, as he walked out of the village and towards the fields, where various various fruits and vegetables, suitable for growth in the cold winter, grew.
