The world of Revenant is divided by the [Grand Wall] invoked by [Olek, the Arbitrator] a wall that serves as the symbolic and literal wall of invincible defense that shields humankind from any attacks. Even Aerial attacks have been rendered useless by the one-eyed maiden who resides within the kingdom and serves as the apostle for the 'Inquisition' and a holy weapon.
Such a boon only polished humans' egos, who thought they were nigh invincible. They began to expand territories through sheer force and violence, enslaving and killing any race that tried to oppose them. Currently, half of the world is under human control. That accursed wall can even expand and assimilate territories into it five days after the said territory is captured.
The only race which is putting up a fight is the 'Scarlet Horns' a race which is scorned and just hunted down for allegedly being the descendants of the devil. Although, ironically, they are the only ones who are putting up a fight against the hollowed shell which is humanity. But things are pretty bleak.
-----------------------------------------
"M-mom!! D-dad!! P-please!! Open your eyes!!"
A girl cried, desperately hugging the carcass of her parents who shielded her from the human's attacks. Enraged and in despair, her thoughts were a fuzzy mess. The [Army] and the [Inquisition] had not only breached through their line of defense but had killed nearly everyone of the 'Scarlet Horns'. From the king who was in frontlines to the capital. All was razed down, as lightning and balls of flames razed down the ground.
"Hey brat, stop bitching about your dead parents and do us a favor and die off already..."
A knight wearing a black armor on his body said with a scowl. As she kicked the carcass she was clinging to and pushing her to the ground.
"But maybe...we will leave you, if you be a good girl and let us have our wa- Ah, Sir Gregor, she ran off..."
One of the knights said mockingly to Gregor, the man who was on about to kill her. He just visibly groaned.
"Tch, do whatever you want with that girl, it will become a corpse anyways. So just relief yourself or something. I am heading back to the capital and report it to the king.."
Gregor said, as he took out a stone with a blue hue and crushed it under his hand, as he disappeared immediately. Meanwhile the knights who took off their legging armor and any armor in their lower body for more 'ease' and chased her.
-----------------------------------------
That girl was desperately anywhere she can find a path. Most of the place was either with littered corpses of either the scarlet horns or humans. It was just riddled with corpses and corpses. She gazed again...her once happy city where everyone although shunned away from the world and treated as demons were happy. That sole beacon of peace was breached, sullied and violated because of the prejudice of these humans.
"T-they n-need to pay...."
The girl mumbled, collapsing from exhaustion after running miles for an unknown period of time. She had to do something...what to do...what to do....she got an idea, a desperate one but not out of option....
"I-i have n-no choice..."
She mumbled, she wouldn't have ran so far, her parents didn't die in vain...she refuses to let that happen, even if it kills her, even if it condemns her to death.
"Oh Architect of the World, Thy paradise has been sullied..."
She mumbled a prayer, as she began to draw a hex circle through the blood spilled in the ground. The only thing even she herself has knowledge on is a summoning circle to summon something as long as the summoner pays the cost.
She desperately piled any and all corpse under the summoning circle. Be it animal, human even her fellow race. She had to do something
"Thy vision of this world had been stripped away, Oh Great one, respond to the pray of this lost sheep..."
She wondered what else to give, even if she piles entire corpses from the city, it won't be enough. It would be a different story if they were on the verge of death, she has to offer something of even more value...
"Fellas, we found our little girl here~"
The knights who were chasing her, had finally caught up and so, she finally decided to use another thing as a catalyst as well. If she had done it, she would have been exiled for being a 'defect' but all hell is damned because she is the literal last of her kind.
"IF THY YOU IS RIGHTEOUS!! THEN CAST JUDGEMENT ON THESE HEATHENS WHO LOST THEIR PATH!!! THY SHALL SELL THY FREE WILL AND DIGNITY! THY VERY BEING!! CAST YOUR JUDGEMENT ON THIS FALLEN LAND"
She said with fury and bloodcurdling scream, startling even the knights who wanted to have fun with her as they saw her break the two horns on her head, as she let out a bloodcurdling scream and her horns bled out. As she threw the horns in the summoning circle and used 70% of her mana in the circle.
The circle responded, as black gust of wind whirled around the circle as deep red crimson shone amidst the storm.
"That bitch! s-she is trying to summon something!!"
"We can have fun, after she is dead!! Kill her first!!"
The knights charged in with their knife, they still had a chance, if the summoner was killed. However it was too late because...
BANG
Something small, yet sharp and pierce hit the knight's armor and surprised him enough to collapse to the ground. It wasn't a bow, it was too fast and too small. Only the top of [Abyss Watchers] or [Night Eyes] can unleash such a fast projectile, enough to put a insignificant small dent even on their highly enhanced armor.
From the black smog and standing in the middle of the summoning circle, in exchange for all the corpse and her horn was a thin boy wearing blue and white themed hooded shirt and headset to his ear and his hand was a pistol. The first words that came out was...
"??? Where the hell am i?"
He asked, still pointing the pistol towards the knights but with a dumb clueless face, meanwhile the scarlet horn who tried to summon her, flabbergasted on what had fate given to her in response for her prayers.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!?!"
She screamed out in damn high pitch. As the situation got more awkward and confusing here on forth.
