In the world of Nomira, a name is more than a simple label—it's the key to your soul, the very essence of your being. But in a society fractured by the fear of what this power could unleash, your true name is a secret, and with that secret comes a question:

"Who are you, really, if even your own name is hidden from you?"

Nomira is a world where names are sacred, their meanings tethered to the deepest part of one's soul. Yet, knowing your true name is dangerous. Once, long ago, the revelation of true names ignited catastrophic wars, shattering empires and ushering in tyrannical regimes. In the wake of this destruction, a decree was passed: true names must remain hidden. The cost of revealing one's true essence was too great.

To maintain order, a select group known as the Keepers was established. These individuals wield ancient amulets that allow them a fleeting glimpse of their soul's essence, just enough to preserve balance but not enough to wield absolute power. They are the guardians of the world's fragile peace.

But not everyone is content with this enforced ignorance. Seekers, driven by an insatiable hunger for knowledge, dedicate their lives to discovering the mystery of true names, hoping to understand their purpose and unlock the forgotten power within. They walk a fine line between enlightenment and chaos.

The Healers, a separate group, have found a way to use their limited connection to the soul for regeneration and healing. In a world filled with turmoil, they provide care and restoration, but even their abilities are constrained by the fear of names' true potential.

At the top of the hierarchy are the Crowns, the ruling elite. Chosen by divine beings, they possess a secretive and partial access to the mystery of names, enough to keep the populace under control but not enough to endanger their delicate hold on power. Their rule, however, is fragile, as they navigate the divine scrutiny of the gods, enforcing a system that keeps the truth buried deep.

Standing in direct opposition to the divinely ordained system are the Hunters, a faction of radicals who despise the power tied to true names. Anti-divinity and anti-establishment, they seek to sever the ancient bond between souls and names, believing that only by breaking this connection can the people of Nomira be free from the tyranny of hidden truths and oppressive regimes.

In this world, identity begins with a ritual. At the age of 13, every child undergoes a transformative ceremony where they are granted a Title, a symbolic representation of their true name, though incomplete. These Titles offer them a taste of the power tied to their identity and connect them to the community, but they also reinforce the unspoken truth—that their real name, and thus their full self, remains elusive.

This ritual binds them to society's rules while keeping them from knowing the full scope of their existence, perpetuating a cycle of struggle between the individual and the forces that wish to control the truth.

As tensions rise between the Keepers, Seekers, Healers, Crowns, and Hunters, a greater conflict emerges—a battle not just for control of power, but for the very essence of identity itself. What is a name if it must remain hidden? What is the value of power if it leads only to oppression? And, ultimately, what does it mean to be truly free when the gods themselves hold the key to your soul?

In the world of Nomira, the stage is set for an ultimate confrontation—where knowledge, power, and divine authority collide, and the true nature of the soul will be revealed.
