"Good work today, Ms. Reeds!" One of the nurses greeted as Vanessa, who had just finished handling her usual patients, walked past.
"Thanks, Sarah. Enjoy your lunch break."
She said, offering a smile and waving her hand. Sarah muttered a few things to her co worker.
"..I would have remained home and cried my eyes out if I were her." She said as they walked away and Vanessa could only but shrug at the fact that once, she had allowed herself think like that too, but then she realized that Ethan was too small of a man for her to waste her tears on.
"Hey Nessa," Lorraine greeted as they met in the hallway, both heading towards the presidential cafeteria.
"You done for the morning?" She nodded.
"Yes, I just finished with Penny, again." She sighed.
"I really wish she'd take more care of herself."
