I've always been a sort of oddball in my family. I mean look at me, short kid with dirty blonde hair who wears a white shirt with black jorts on the daily. I have 2 siblings, a sister and a brother. My brother is 6 while my Sister is 16. My mom and my dad have no occupation and nothing to support the family. If your wondering how we eat, shower, and have a roof over our head, well, in this society everyone either gambles online, or invests in something. But I've noticed that guess what? Everyone has a phone! Even the homeless are stuck on their phones. I literally cannot be the only one who think it's stupid. They're all idiots. Every single one of them. Every human is a stud and glued to a screen that won't get them anywhere. I feel separated, different, I'm smarter than the rest of them.
MORNING
I woke up as usual, stepping out of bed brushing my teeth and taking a shower. I walked downstairs when my infinite portable charger in my pocket. I was forced to carry it around I didn't want to. My brother laid on the couch played some video game, my sister brushed her hair while watching a YouTube video. My dad was up all night checking stocks, and my mom was on call with her friends. I texted the family group chat Good morning, no one even noticed the text, Not that I cared. I walked out of the house in my jorts and white shirt to TFR100 house. It was 6:50 AM, I texted TFR100 that I was coming over. Me and him have started a program where I would teach him English so he could maybe get a bit smarter. Oh, and if your wondering why I didn't eat anything before I left, no one cares to make food anymore everyone just orders online and get the companies to do it. I walked along the sidewalk, the sun was out since it's daylight savings time but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that noticed. The streets were empty as they always were. You would only find people in coffee shops or fast food places but the city was almost always busy and packed with people. I walked until I came to a stop, I noticed a rock with a hole and a weird dent. It didn't interest me so I simply walked over it. I approached TFR100 house… you know what let's just call him TFR. I approached TFR's house and knocked on the door. I knew it would take him about 18 minutes to open the door, because he has this habit of sliding his feet slowly across the ground before he opens the door.
20 minutes later..
TFR opens the door and I walk into his house. I text him a hello and a "are you ready" text. He replied with "I gotta show u something" and a smiling cat emoji. He waved his hand signaling to follow him. We walked downstairs to the basement where we finally came to a halt. I looked at what was it front of me and I was confused. It was a slab type of object, had two covers, one on the back and one on the front. On the front it had a sentence in big bold letters. "The adventures of Shawn and Tucker." Under that it had written by:…. It was blank. TFR picked up the slab and showed me the back. The slab seemed to be made of leather? The back was empty. It had a sort of spine on the side that kept the slab together which made me even more confused. But to top it all of it had paper inside. I turned to my phone and texted TFR "I've never seen a slab like this TFR100." He replied with "neither have i" and a shrug emoji. He set it back on the table and we went upstairs to practice his English.
2:30 PM
We had just finished his English course. Let's just say, he's making progress. I was hungry so I decided to go home. I waved TFR goodbye and went on my way home.
2:33 PM
I started walking back to TFR house. I couldn't get it off my mind. The slab, I couldn't no matter how hard I tried stop thinking about it. I felt connected. My life up to this point has been full of boringness no way I'm letting an opportunity of knowledge fly by. I received a text from my mother, I didn't read it I ignored her. I barged into TFR house. I texted him "Come on we're going back to the thing you showed me." He replied with "Bro Wth you just barged into my house." I grabbed his hand and led us downstairs. I walked over to the leather slab. I picked it up with a curious look. It was weird, but interesting. TFR sent me a text saying, "what's wrong with u this thing is a piece of junk." I replied with "No, it's a piece of knowledge."
I opened the slab up from the front cover….
