Rex came back into the room and looked at the painting and his breath caught in his throat. Looking at the finished painting, it looked as if it was alive, moving as if momentarily as if wind was blowing.
There was a very handsome boy in the painting, holding the railing of the balcony as he looked at the cheering crowd. There was a crown on his forehead and a light smile on his face. His entire façade exuded royalty.
Rex knew about her talent in painting, reason why he gave her gift before which was painting resources as well as other things if she needed was to let her see if she liked doing it and let it blossom and let her see that she was talented in something. No one wouldn't hate to know that they were talented in something. Some were even desperate to do so. The two difference was that whether it waw innate or trained and the other was whether they want to do it or not.
"Do you like it?"
Alisia asked Rex with a smile on her face and Rex nodded as he complimented it.
"It's very beautiful"
"You are very talented in it, Alisia"
"Thank you, big brother, I wouldn't have realized it without you encouraging me to do it"
"I just wanted to let you experience painting, I didn't expect you to be so talented in it"
It was a lie but even if he explains later on that he knows about it he could just brush it off as his inheritance but right now, he hasn't explained it yet. He wanted to be done with it once and for all but for that he needed patience.
Alisia's talent in painting was
"Big brother, I feel like your features have changed"
She said in a soft tone to which Rex didn't react till later due to his attention on the painting. But before he had a chance to speak, Alisia continued.
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me, big brother will still be big brother no matter what."
He looked at her, his heart warming at her sincerity. Unable to resist, he pinched her cheek.
"You're too cute for your own good"
"Ow" she yelped, rubbing her cheek. "That hurts"
"You'll live"
Rex teased before saying,
"I will tell you along with the others at the dining table"
"Aunt Mei is calling you for dinner already, let's go"

At the dining room, the atmosphere was warm, the aroma of freshly prepared food filling the air.
"There's something I need to tell you all"
"It's about what's been happening to me recently, more so just today" Rex continued.
"I know you've all noticed some changes"
"It's because of an inheritance"
"An inheritance…." Aunt Mei repeated.
"From whom?"
"From a divine being" Rex answered plainly, his voice unwavering as if to sound that it was indeed the truth.
"A being who, supposedly, had a connection with me in a past life."
Silence filled the dining room for a moment before Sarah broke it.
"You're saying that you were chosen by some divine existence as their inheritor because of a past life?"
Rex nodded.
"Though I don't have any recollection about that life"
"But that inheritance is the reason why I look different now"
A Q&A session continued after that and with Laura as his assistant, everything was successfully explained.
"The other thing would be that, I've also recovered my dantian"
"You… you mean… you can cultivate again" Aunt Mei asked, her voice shaken by the news that she heard.
Rex nodded "Yes"
For a second, no one spoke, the weight of his words sinking in. Then, almost at the same time, they all spoke up. Laura already knew about it long before along with Clarissa but everyone else here had no information about it.
"But, my talent was at F when I recovered my dantian"
Silence drew once more, Laura also already knowing about it but already knowing his strategy to it but Alisia noticed something in his wording.
"Big brother, you said it was at F, is there any change"
"Yes, the inheritance fortunately is recovering my talent with a secret method and now it's at E grade medium talent"
Everyone eyes shone at those words along with Laura as well.
"I am also intending on practicing body refining"
"What's body refining?"
Alisia titled her head and asked.
"I know, I know"
Sarah held up her hand and wanted to explain,

Aunt Mei, a bit worried about him asked.

Rex knew that Aunt Mei herself had cultivation and could well beyond live his age if his situation didn't change but he didn't know it was bothering her that much.

Everyone hearing these words, felt that their hearts were warm because of the trust that he had in them.
Sarah, crossing her arms, said "I get it"
Alisia giggled "I promise I won't tell anyone"
Aunt Mei gave a soft nod. "You have my word as well"
And finally Laura though already knowing it before said as well, "I understand"
"Now, let's eat before the food gets cold"
Aunt Mei said, bringing them all back to the present moment.
