Chapter 1 - The Dreamer's Legacy

It was a magnificent house, resembling a grand castle. Despite its vastness, it exuded a strange warmth and welcoming aura. Within this house lay a library, brimming with ancient knowledge. Strangely, the texts were all connected to various religions, some of which were still practiced today. The library itself seemed ancient, its age visible even through the diligent care it had received.

Vikram sat in the heart of this library, holding an ancient book on Tantra Vidya. By the age of 25, he had already achieved more than most could in their entire lifetime. Many called him a once-in-a-millennium genius, though Vikram himself humbly dismissed such claims.

He had it all—wealth, fame, and a frightening genius that spanned nearly every field imaginable. Yet, his one regret lingered: he could never fulfill his childhood dream of wielding magic and swords, like the heroes he idolized in novels and manga.

By the time Vikram reached the age of 80, he had reluctantly let go of that dream. At just 28 years old, he had become one of the richest people on the planet. With his immense wealth and influence, he devoted the next decades to decoding ancient scriptures. Enlisting the help of world-renowned linguists and scholars, he spent 30 years unraveling the secrets hidden within the texts of ancient religions. Some of these religions still survived in fragments, while others had long faded into obscurity.

At the age of 60, he completed his work. Among the scriptures he decoded were intricate practices of Tantra Vidya from Hinduism, the world's oldest religion. Vikram felt the practices held truth, but they didn't yield the fantastical results he had always imagined. He had dreamt of conjuring fireballs and water spells, like the magic described in his beloved stories. Undeterred, he turned his focus toward mastering the sword.

Though already skilled in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, Vikram picked up a sword at 26, determined to perfect the art. His genius allowed him to defeat even world-famous martial artists with ease. His quest for mastery took him to South India, where he learned Kalaripayattu, an ancient Indian martial art. Over time, Vikram became a literal one-man army. He subjected himself to grueling survival training, akin to what elite commandos endured, honing his body and mind to their peak.

Even after accomplishing all this, Vikram felt he could have achieved more—if only he had more time. But time was the one thing even his immense wealth couldn't buy.

Now, in his 90s, Vikram was an old man. People had often mocked his relentless pursuit of seemingly pointless goals. Yet, they couldn't deny his brilliance, dedication, and hard work. He had earned their respect, even from his harshest critics.

As he reminisced about his life, Vikram sighed. He had been like a storm, sweeping through the world and leaving behind waves of change. He had defied expectations, achieved the impossible, and inspired generations. The proverb, "The master of all is the master of none," did not apply to him.

But at the end of it all, standing at death's door, he couldn't help but wonder what might have been if he had chosen to start a family. He had sacrificed personal relationships for his goals, and now, he felt the weight of loneliness. His younger brother was the only family he had left.

Finally, at the age of 120, Vikram closed his eyes for the last time, leaving behind a legacy that would echo through the ages.
