Chapter 209 - Chapter 209: The Fall of a Deity

Ryūchi Cave.

"Susanoo: Twin Blade Dance!"

With a calm yet commanding voice, Madara activated his technique.

The massive Susanoo moved with deliberate ease, swinging its flaming blades. Each slash released a blazing wave of energy.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Despite the seemingly nonchalant strikes, they formed an airtight web of attacks as they rained down on Tagitsuhime, leaving her with no room to evade.

"This can't be happening!" Tagitsuhime's composure shattered.

By all logic, the sheer size of Susanoo should leave gaps in its attacks. Yet it was as if her opponent could read her every move. Each strike landed exactly where she intended to dodge.

Inside Susanoo's cockpit, Madara crossed his arms, his expression brimming with mockery as he observed Tagitsuhime's frantic struggles.

"Hmph, pathetic. You can't even dance, can you?" he sneered. "So much power, yet no clue how to wield it. How utterly disappointing."

Damn it. He's too strong! Tagitsuhime gritted her teeth, a sense of doom creeping over her. If this continues, I'll die here!

Desperation drove her to revert to her true form—a colossal white serpent, stretching dozens of meters long.

"Sage Art: Dragon Scales!"

Sage chakra surged through her body, forming a translucent, nearly imperceptible protective layer on her scales. The "Dragon Scales" could absorb up to half the force of any incoming attack, but even so, the impact of Madara's fiery slashes left Tagitsuhime writhing in agony.

She coiled and slithered, evading the onslaught as best as she could.

...

On another battlefield.

Hidan unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks against Ichikishimahime, hoping to claim her first blood. Yet, despite his efforts, the petite kunoichi remained unscathed, while he was bloodied and battered.

Frustrated, Hidan growled, his voice dripping with irritation. "Damn it! This is pissing me off!"

Seizing the moment, Ichikishimahime threw a tiny but powerful punch, sending Hidan flying over ten meters.

"What kind of monster is this?!" she muttered, still shaken. She had pierced three of his vital organs, yet Hidan acted as if nothing had happened, standing up with full energy and a mouthful of curses.

"Ow, damn it! That hurt!" Hidan grumbled, gripping his scythe and charging toward her once more.

Ichikishimahime furrowed her brow, a realization dawning.

He's "immortal" but doesn't heal quickly. Maybe this time I'll rip off his limbs and swallow them whole.

...

Meanwhile.

The clash between Sasori and Tagorihime was the most intense. Tagorihime had already revealed her true form, a massive snake, enduring the onslaught of a hundred puppets to close the distance to Sasori himself. Just as she prepared to devour him whole, she noticed his face twist into a smug grin.

"Scroll: Flamethrower!"

A torrent of searing flames capable of melting steel erupted toward her face. Tagorihime hastily dodged, but the fire still scorched half of her head, leaving a gruesome mess of charred flesh and blood.

"Aaaaargh!" Her anguished scream reverberated through the cave. Sasori frowned slightly, dissatisfied.

"Tch. Lucky," he muttered.

He had sacrificed numerous puppets and used himself as bait to set up this trap. Yet, even at the critical moment, she had narrowly escaped death.

Sasori's lips curled into a smirk as he prepared his chakra threads.

"No matter. It's only a matter of time."

Tagorihime staggered back, her human form reemerging. Her half-burnt face was a grotesque sight, with exposed bones and torn flesh. Her remaining eye glared at Sasori with seething hatred.

"I'll kill you, no matter the cost!" she hissed, her voice dripping with venom.

Sasori's smirk deepened. "By all means, try. Let's see if you're worth my art."

...

Elsewhere in the cave.

The White Snake Sage, locked in battle with Obito, felt a chill as she sensed the dire situation of her kin.

In the distance, cries rang out.

"White Snake Sage, help me!" Tagitsuhime screamed.

Madara's absolute control over the battle was terrifying. With a combination of precise predictions and the gravitational pull of Banshō Ten'in, he pinned Tagitsuhime in place. Twin blades descended, ready to end her.

The White Snake Sage roared, fury erupting.

"You dare harm my children?!"

Her foot slammed into the ground, unleashing a torrent of Sage chakra.

"Sage Art!"

The White Snake Sage unleashed a desperate attack. Three colossal beams of chakra surged forward, transforming into dragons of pure energy, each over a hundred meters long. They roared toward Hidan, Madara, and Sasori.

Obito sidestepped effortlessly using Kamui, watching the spectacle unfold.

'That old snake's gone mad,' he muttered.

Sensing her weakened state, Obito weighed his options. He could only use Kamui to delay one of the attacks. Who would it be?

Not Hidan. He won't die anyway, Obito thought dismissively. Madara and Sasori can probably handle it, but which one to help…?

After a moment's deliberation, his crimson Sharingan swirled.

"Kamui!"

The dragon aimed at Madara faltered, giving him just enough time to slice Tagitsuhime into three pieces.
