Alex was alone at home again as he enjoyed his daily sugar water, he was so poor to the extent he didn't have proper food to eat, his black hair was in a mess, his parent had left him but would pay for his school fees but still this didn't make him pity himself, in fact he was more determined than ever to make a difference

He went on his way to school but then he suddenly felt a strange feeling wash over him, he decided to follow it as he wondered to an abandoned house, he had a feeling something was waiting for him there as he entered the house, the chairs were all broken as everything seemed in bad shape, he then saw a pen lying down on the ground and picked it up, something felt strange about it but he decided to shrug it off

He didn't even have a pen so he could use this to write in class, when he arrived he took his seat as the teacher had given them a surprise test, every one was panicking but Alex was calm because he had studied

He wrote the answers with ease but one gave him a bit of an headache, he didn't know the president of the United States, he always failed in these type of questions

When school was over he was just about to go home when his friend invited him over to have some lunch with him, but he knew it was just to make fun of him

His friend was the most popular kid in school and the most richest, he had connections that extended even towards the president, not to mention the most handsome, he hand blond hair and always seemed like he was glowing

"Thanks Luke,"He said politely as he followed him to a restaurant

He ordered for some steak and ate till his heart delight, this was the first time that he had tasted it and he wasn't even mad at Luke for using it to belittle him

"Slow down, I know you're too poor to afford it so you should really thank me" Luke said mockingly

After that he went home with his belly full for the first time in his 14 years of living. When he got home he immediately fell asleep on his bed feeling satisfied

Around midnight he could have sworn he heard some noises in his room and woke up, hw saw a tiny human floating above him at least that's what his mind told him

It was a female with blue hair, she wore a blue gown and had a blue crown on her head, Alex mom was a religious and back then she had told him than the devil could take on any form

"Finally you're awake, do you know how hard I tried to wake you" She scolded

Alex started to chant prayers but received a flick on the forehead, it didn't hurt a bit but he rubbed it to make sure

"I guess I should explain myself, I'm a God, well at least an ex-God,my name is Irene, I was punished by the others for misuse of power although my habits were shamefully something much more serious is going one" She explained as Alex listened carefully

"I had a dream about the Queen of darkness destroying both the human world and the land of Nightshade and my dreams always came true" She explained which was a lot for Alex to take in

"This all sounds like a lie but I don't think you're lying and so what is my role in all this cause I'm not gonna save the kingdom and all, I'm not a hero, neither am I that nice, I'm just a boy trying to get through school" Alex said

Irene stared at me in shock as her face turned dark, she started to grind her teeth with made Alex a little scared

"I should have known, humans will always be humans" She said in a low voice

"I'll try I guess"Alex said a bit influenced by her attitude

She quickly recovered as if it had all been an act as she concluded for today and and they both fell asleep, when he woke up Irene had transformed to a pen as he went to school

When he got to school I found out that the president he wrote on my test paper suddenly became president, he was shock he but nor expect to start coughing blood and fell down, he suddenly felt dizzy as the Luke had called for a the school nurse

He had been unconscious for the whole school hour, when he woke up Luke sat right beside him, then he found out a shocking news

Luke's father had helped the president in an embezzlement leading to his family going bankrupt when it got out of public

Luke's popularity went down the drain as Alex felt this was all his fault,He couldn't explain to Luke about what had happened so he kept silent

"You know my parent always acted stuck up since I was young so maybe I picked up on the act"Luke said

Alex's eyes widened,he realized wasn't being stuck up, it was because of his parent, Alex felt terrible for what had happened
