What people loved most about the city in the summer was the beach. Clare and Ian spent most of their teenage lives there. And nothing changed, even when they turned twenty. They still spent their spare time there on warm days, relaxing among friends.
They all sat around the same table, discussing the warehouse explosion that took place a few days ago. Only Clare was bored with the topic and decided to order more drinks for them.
She walked up to the bar and asked for a vodka with cherry juice and ice for everyone. She was waiting to receive it when a rather handsome gray-haired man stood next to her.
- I spotted you from across the beach. You are so beautiful, you shine.
What a trashy guy, thought Clare, intending to say it out loud to him, but she bit her tongue at the last moment.
- Thanks, but I'm not interested in making new friends.
- Come on... you are so sexy. Tell me your name and let me get to know you.
- My fist is also sexy. - Ian's voice made Clare open her eyes wider. Her husband raised his hand up and presented his fist to the bold pick-up artist. - Do you want her to leave some of that sex appeal on your face?
The blonde parried with laughter, covering her mouth with her hand. Rapidly she became serious, seeing the stern gaze of her beloved.
- I didn't know she was busy. Loose," the man defended himself, putting his hands out in front of him.
- And does she look like she's single!
Clare embraced her husband, wanting to reassure him.
- He already understood. Let it go.
- Why did you like it? If I hadn't walked up, would you still be standing here listening to his trashy tics?
- Ian, calm down.
The brunet turned his face the other way, pretending to be offended. The girl put her hands to his cheeks and forced him to look her in the eye.
- I'm jealous," he defended himself, wrinkling his eyebrows.
- I know, but you have no reason to be jealous because apart from you, no other guy exists for me. After all, you know how crazy I am about you.
- If I make you a baby, and you walk around with a belly, you will become less attractive. You will no longer be so desirable to other men.
The girl laughed and gave him a kiss on the lips.
- You can even put an invisibility cloak on me.
- The drinks are ready," the bartender called back.
- Help me take them and let's go back to the table. - Clare turned to an inebriated Ian, although the boy was not going to play waiter.
- Move your lazy asses and come get your drinks! - he shouted to his friends.
They all got up obediently from their chairs and ran over to get the alcohol.
- Clare you are an angel," stated Rosalie, taking a sip.
- A devil who seduces guys," Ian corrected her.
The blonde rolled her eyes, guessing that he would not let her live for the next few days. Despite everything, he was charming, and she loved him more than life.
She couldn't imagine the rest of her life without him.
He was her destiny.
