After Soma and Arnav reached the commotion site, they saw a bulky figure with a round face. Another thin individual stood beside him for support, while opposite to them was standing a skinny guy with thick glasses and an anxious look.
"OY!... YOU SON OF A B**CH DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT HURTS TO BE STEPPED ON!! It looks like you injured my foot pretty bad" while looking at his friend beside him.
"uhm…again I am very sorry… it was all my fault I didn't see you coming and accidentally stepped on you I fully accept it". Said the thick glasses guy with an anxious look on his face.
"If it's your fault then you only should be held responsible and settle this by paying for my medical bills for the injury I have suffered, which would roughly be 5000Rs—pay up nerd or you will regret this" with a smirk on that round face.
With a shocked face, a skinny boy said "5000Rs!... that's too much money i don't have this much money. I didn't even hit it that hard to get hurt so bad, please I am sorry for your inconvenience" while making an apologetic hand gesture.
"We are not requesting money for nothing it's because of your fault that I got injured and now you are making excuses, pay up or we will get you suspended from school"
….(what the f**k is happening on the first day of high school, and why are these guys threatening him like this, I mean it's clear that this is just a common mistake caused due to morning rush hour)..... slowly Arnav whispers into Soma's ear.
But rage was continuously building in Soma as bullying was one of the few things he hated the most. He also knew those two for the cheap tricks they pull to extort money from many students.

As Soma saw no end to this commotion he starts to plunge forward into the crowd to confront that bully to stop all this bullshit but as soon as he called him out, a figure suddenly showed up on seen wearing a formal dark brown trench coat and armband of the student council, a school brooch on the left collar and badge on left breast pocket with vice president title printed on it.
"Geez~~…is this supposed to be an introduction meeting going on in the middle of the corridor which no one told me about…, does this involve extorting money out of freshmen, btw for introduction purposes I am vice president of student council Serena Roy" while one hand in coat pocket and other holding documents
"Uh…vice prez no one trying to extort out of anyone it's simply that this nerd f**ker step–"
"Whoa, Language!! You are in school not on the streets" said the vice prez
"My apologies it's just that this guy out of nowhere stepped on my foot and when I asked for compensation, he said that he doesn't have or won't pay it" while trying to look sad
"That's really what extortion is because I know that this guy even if intentional couldn't have hurt you as much as you trying to portray it to be…but if you still believe that then go to the school infirmary it will patch you up good without taking any money,
Now everyone slowly move back to your respective classes without causing another commotion okay~~ "
"But—"
"Jiva I think I made myself clear …" Serena glared at him intensely in the eye.
"Fine!" jiva leaving the scene grumbling with his partner sunny
Then that bullied guy came to Serena (vice prez) "Thank you so much for your help if you didn't come at the right then who knows what would they have done"
"Don't sweat it…just doing my job. I know these kinds of things do happen a lot in high school. If it ever happens again, just ask me for help." As she glanced around, she saw Soma and gave him a faint smile, then left.
At this moment, the one most elated was Soma, as this was the person whom he was scanning for at the school entrance gate. Also, this is the only person he admires and has a crush on. Even Arnav heard of her from Soma before coming to school.
The bullied guy came to both soma and arnav to ask "Hello, guys do you know where the 10th D section would be, by the way, thanks for trying to stand up for me, as a token of my gratitude I should at least state my name…I am Rishid Raghvan,"
"Thanks… wait did you just say 10th D? That means you're from our section(class), yes of course we know where it is come with us," said arnav
As Arnav called Rishid, he started going with the duo to the classroom… after entering they both sat in the middle of the first column against the wall and Rishid sat behind them as they were the only ones who he knew
seeing him sit near them Soma formally introduced him and his friend to Rishid. Afterward, they talked about all kinds of stuff like why he joined this school this year not before, where he lived before(a small city "Shibra"), when Soma joined this school (2 years), what their hobbies are, and do they girlfriends ( A BIG NO!).
Rishid told them that he was a scholar in a previous school and he had got a scholarship from this school as well on the entrance test which helped him quite a lot, even so that he got a free dorm to live in.
"What!... You got a free dorm from school to live in, only someone who scored above 95%scholarship can get a free dorm from school…would you help me with my studies sometimes? I am not that smart even this guy does not score well " said Arnav while flashing a smile at Soma.
"Oye Oye! Don't lump me with yourself…I still study hard when your flirty ass is fawning over girls and till now I have been living with absolutely no failing in exams unlike you but I won't stop rishid from helping me—I mean who doesn't wanna ace the exams"
"Sure why not you help me and I help you that's how school life works…let's change numbers for convenience," said Rishid.
Then Soma asked in confusion "If you are this smart then you should have gone to class A instead of class D"
"I too wanted to go but don't know why the higher-ups sent me to this class, I mean this would have been only natural to send me to class A., maybe school authorities have balanced classes so no class should be left behind" Rishid explained.
"Or maybe this year they chose students by throwing dice," said Arnav jokingly, which made all three of them crack up.
As they stopped Soma was shocked to see Serena entering the class with a bag and also without the trench coat, as she looked at them she came towards them and sat beside Rishid.
"Are you fine?" Serena asked Rishid kindly without waiting for a reply, she asked Soma "You are also in this class this year, btw I like to appreciate how you tried to stand up for him even though you have quite an introverted personality instead of many students standing there, sorry what's your name again"
For a moment I am amazed to see that Serena still remembered me after just seeing me for couple of times and now she's asking my name, is this a dream or something
"Thanks… same here I am also surprised to see that you are also in this class, after all, you are student council vice prez," said Soma
"Yeah, this time someone did make up the whole class based on a roll of dice – full marks for randomness! , seriously I mean all my friends are sent to classes A & B "
While they were talking Soma whispered to Arnav that this was the surprise he was talking about before when they walked to school, with a grin which arnav replied in a whisper "Yes this was the surprise your's truly~~ was hinting about"
A few minutes later a teacher arrives in the class with a log book "Good morning class D. I am Chitra Sunak. I will be your homeroom teacher this year, any questions?".
She is a middle-aged woman with a no-nonsense demeanor that complements her serious and disciplined teaching style. She has long, dark brown hair usually tied in a low ponytail, with a few loose strands framing her face. Her eyes are sharp and focused, giving her a somewhat intimidating presence. She often wears professional attire, such as a blazer and a blouse, which adds to her authoritative and composed appearance.
As this was the start of a new session Arnav suggested to the teacher for everyone's introduction as he was very enthusiastic about this.
"Introduction?... Fine, you have my permission just make it quick as in 15 minutes we have to move to the school gym for the entrance ceremony" said Miss Sunak with a calm demeanor.
