It was a year ago when Witchcraft was banned in Esvell. The new king decided it was risky, unnatural, dangerous, and satanic-so he made it illegal. So all found practicing the craft shall be burned at the stake.
But of course, that didn't stop anyone.
The Diamond coven persisted, as they couldn't find it within themselves to shun the wisdom and practices their ancestors passed down to them. So they locked themselves behind gates that soon overgrew with Ivy. The king couldn't reach them there-they were safe.
They continued their practice, in secret, away from the eyes of the king. And now, only once a year do the ivy covered gates open-the blue moon festival.
You see, the coven was different from most. Every year, the ancestors blessed one member of the coven with a special, elemental based power. Not every year one was given-but the ones who did receive were created coven leaders.
And this year, the leaders say the element is going to be the element of light-a not-so-strictly fluid element. And you know who's going to bet the blessing this year?
