Ria stared at his newfound power and his slave wolf, pondering what to do. In his previous life, he rarely consulted his slaves for advice, but now, his immature side thought it might be possible to talk to a wolf. Quickly realizing the absurdity of the idea, Ria still decided to give it a try.
He asked the wolf for advice. The wolf, unsurprisingly, didn't respond. Frustrated, Ria felt a surge of anger and wanted to lash out but caught himself mid-thought.
Muttering to himself, Ria said, "Calm down. Calm down, Ria." Regaining his composure, he decided to call God for guidance.
God answered, "What now?" He chuckled, "No need to explain. I can hear your thoughts. You want to know how to use your ability, right? Simple—just tell the wolf what you want to say, and he'll respond. Goodbye." God abruptly ended the call without waiting for Ria's reply.
Ria, left staring at the wolf, decided to test it. He ordered, "Stand up." Nothing happened. Growing more frustrated, he tried again for 15 minutes, and when his patience wore thin, he yelled, "Freaking stand up, you stupid dog!"
To his shock, the wolf obeyed and stood up, responding, "Yes, master."
Ria's childlike glee burst out for a moment as he cheered, "Yeah!" before quickly regaining his composure. Clearing his throat, he said, "Ahem. So, you're my servant now, right?"
The wolf replied, "Yes, master."
"Good. You'll tell me everything I need to know, correct?" Ria asked.
"Yes, master," the wolf confirmed.
Ria's curiosity piqued. "Where are the other wolves?"
The wolf answered, "Master, they are in the cave in the middle of the jungle."
"So, you're with a pack?" Ria asked.
"Yes," the wolf replied.
"Tell me about your leader," Ria commanded.
"Our leader is a very strong barghast," the wolf said.
Ria tilted his head, confused. "What's a barghast?"
The wolf explained, "I think it's a wolf with floating chains around its body."
"So that's what your leader looks like?" Ria clarified.
"Yes, master," the wolf affirmed.
Ria thought for a moment. "What's your name?"
"I am a wolf, master," the wolf replied plainly.
"I know that, but you don't have a name?" Ria asked.
"No, master. I don't think I do," the wolf responded.
Ria began thinking hard. After a pause, he said, "Alright, your name is Wolfra."
The wolf's eyes lit up as it said, "Thank you, master! I love you." Suddenly, a golden light began emanating from the wolf.
Startled, Ria shouted, "What's happening?!"
God contacted him again, saying, "It seems your wolf has met the requirement for evolution."
"Evolution? What's that?" Ria asked.
God explained, "It's a system feature that allows creatures to grow stronger to maintain balance in the ecosystem. It seems your subskill, Good Master, gave Wolfra what he needed most—wisdom through a name."
"So, what will he evolve into?" Ria asked eagerly.
"A werewolf," God replied casually.
Ria froze in shock. "A werewolf?!"
God elaborated, "Yes, a bipedal wolf with higher intelligence and enhanced recovery abilities."
Ria's childlike side took over briefly. "Whoa! That's so cool!" But he quickly caught himself. "Ahem. Thank you, my Lord."
God chuckled and said, "Goodbye."
The light surrounding Wolfra grew brighter as his form began to change. Ria watched in awe, anticipation building for what was to come next.
