Chapter 20 - Chapter Twenty: Kill!

"Damn it..." Bruns pulled out a hemostatic agent to stop the blood flow from his severed arm, his face filled with rage. "Just a mere late-stage Tier 4 punk, how dare he ambush me? He's asking for death!"

The difference between late-stage and peak is not a matter of small fractions. The arrogant Bruns had always thought there were no opponents below Tier 5, but he did not expect that this unknown late-stage Tier 4 kid would sever his right hand!

Bruns practiced ancient martial arts related to palm techniques. Losing his right hand meant he had effectively halved his strength. How could he not be furious?

However, once he passed the graduation trial and returned to the safe zone, advanced medical technology could still regrow his severed limb, albeit at a considerable cost.

"Bruns, step back. Let me handle him," Gary said, licking his lips.

Slowly, three cold daggers emerged from Gary's sleeves, coated with a venom that could paralyze the nerves. Once the poison entered the bloodstream, it would take just three seconds to render a person completely powerless, ripe for slaughter!

Bruns glanced at Wang Xu and nodded, then fiercely whispered, "Make sure to let me kill him once he's paralyzed. I want him to experience what hell is like!"

Gary smiled and waved his hand carelessly, and the three daggers transformed into streams of light, shooting towards Wang Xu from three different directions!

Wang Xu's reaction was astonishingly quick. As soon as Gary waved his hand, he sensed the presence of the daggers. When the three daggers attacked, Wang Xu's figure blurred, and countless afterimages appeared. Gary was taken aback as all three daggers missed their target.

 Whoosh!

The daggers reversed course and attacked again, but Wang Xu didn't even look. He twisted his body slightly, and none of the daggers found their mark; they all returned to Gary's hands.

"Damn, how is this guy's reaction speed so absurd?!" Gary cursed.

"You've made your move; now it's my turn!" Wang Xu said coldly, unleashing a burst of speed. A faint sound of thunder followed, and the long knife in his hand shot forward like a bolt of lightning, straight at Gary.

 Thunderbolt Strike!

This move was an upgraded version of the Blood Strike, much more powerful and aggressive.

Gary quickly retreated. He practiced ancient martial arts focusing on hidden weapons; close combat was his weak point, so he needed to distance himself.

As he retreated, he launched daggers from his hands.

But in Wang Xu's eyes, those daggers were far too slow and their trajectories too predictable. With a casual swing of his Blood Bone Giant Blade, he knocked each dagger to the ground.

"Looks like I need to bring out my 'trump card'," Gary thought coldly. Ordinary daggers had limited damage against Wang Xu, so he stealthily reached into his robe.

 Whoosh!

Another dagger appeared, but this one was different; it was blood-red, resembling a crystal of blood. Wang Xu didn't even look, waving his hand to knock the dagger down again.

However, as his long knife met the blood-colored dagger, the latter suddenly shattered into thousands of fragments, attacking Wang Xu!

"I fell for it!" Wang Xu's expression changed. He paused, swung his long knife, and formed a circular shield, deflecting all the blood-red fragments.

 Whoosh! Whoosh!

Two white daggers rushed in from both sides, slicing toward Wang Xu!

Too fast! There was no time to evade!

The daggers struck Wang Xu's body, their power significantly weakened by the B-Class armor, leaving only a tremor on his skin but causing no real harm.

There were too many fragments of the blood-colored dagger; even with all his efforts to defend, Wang Xu couldn't avoid being slashed, leaving several deep cuts on his face and ripping his clothing. Blood seeped out, but fortunately, he avoided any fatal injuries.

"Armor!" Gary's eyes widened, then without a glance at Bruns, he turned and fled!

His blood-red dagger was an A-Class weapon, a 'trump card' he had painstakingly saved up to buy. Anyone below Tier 5 pierced by the fragments would be turned into a sieve; even Tier 5 genetic warriors would find it troublesome to deal with.

But against Wang Xu, his trump card was utterly ineffective!

Bruns was stunned; Gary had abandoned him and fled on his own. In furious anger, he shouted, "Gary, how dare you..."

But before he could finish, a long knife suddenly appeared above his head, cleaving down!

 Crash!

Tang Yan nearly screamed. She had seen murder, but never had she witnessed someone being cut in half like Wang Xu did; it was grotesquely bloody!

Gary merely glanced back and almost lost his mind in terror.

Bruns was cleaved in two, his body flying apart, blood and brain matter splattering everywhere.

This guy... is a devil! A devil that devours people!

After cleaving Bruns in two, Wang Xu did not stop but continued pursuing Gary. Gary's face changed dramatically; he increased his speed, not daring to let up for an instant.

Gary was a stealthy-type genetic warrior; while his explosive strength may not be high, he was incredibly fast. Even though Wang Xu moved swiftly, it was hard to catch Gary for the time being.

Roughly three minutes into the chase, Wang Xu suddenly heard intense fighting sounds in the distance.

"Captain!" Gary's eyes lit up as if he had seen a savior and shouted urgently.

Not far away, a muscular man with golden hair was throwing powerful punches, each one carrying a tangible flame that kept forcing a handsome young man in black to defend himself.

"Haha..." Weirun roared in wild laughter, "A little brat from the Seventh Safe Zone dares to defy my will; are you still shouting now? What's the use of fortifying your body? You can't even fight back!"

As he spoke, his flaming fists came crashing down fiercely.

The young man in black, named Ying Xing, wore a grave expression. He was the only Tier 5 student in the Seventh Safe Zone.

A genius in the internal academy, Ying Xing could have entered the genius combat team directly without trials due to his Tier 5 strength. Invited by the dean, he was eager to participate in the graduation trials knowing there would be many, if not stronger, opponents like him.

Unexpectedly, he encountered a truly brutal opponent, far stronger than himself, leaving him with no chance to fight back.

Beside Ying Xing were three Westerners—two men and one woman—surrounding the heavily wounded Junior Sister Yun, enjoying the sight of their captain toying with a fool from the Seventh Safe Zone.

"Huh? That's Gary's voice," Weirun glanced up, spotting Gary racing towards him, and frowned. "Why are you alone? Where's Bruns?"

"Captain, save me, save me!" Gary shouted anxiously.

"Gary, with that cowardly look, did you meet a ghost?" a young Westerner in the team mocked.

"Just looking at his dark skin makes me want to vomit; it's disgusting!" sneered the Westerner girl.

Ignoring their taunts, Gary desperately dashed toward Weirun. The closer he got, the more delight appeared on his face.

 Whoosh!

Suddenly, a fierce sound of slicing wind followed Gary closely. Just when he thought he was about to be rescued, his expression suddenly froze. He slowly looked down and saw a bloodied blade protruding from his chest, disbelief filling his gaze.

"No… no!" Gary spat blood, collapsing to the ground, his eyes remaining wide open.

Everyone was stunned. It wasn't until Wang Xu approached and pulled the Blood Bone Giant Blade from Gary's corpse that they finally reacted.

"Damn it, he actually killed Gary!" a young Westerner shouted angrily, drawing a longsword and rushing towards Wang Xu, intent on eliminating him.

Wang Xu snorted and swiftly turned, delivering a single strike.

 Thunderclap Strike!

With a sweep of the blade, carrying a faint thunderous light, the young Westerner's sword had yet to touch Wang Xu before it was cleaved in half!

"Glen!!" The Westerner girl screamed, glaring at Wang Xu with rage. However, she refrained from charging in. Glen, despite being the weakest with only early Tier 4 strength, had been instantly killed with just one move. Her charging in would be tantamount to seeking death!

The other young Westerner coldly observed Wang Xu, remaining silent.

"Junior Sister Yun!" Just as Wang Xu advanced, Tang Yan arrived, spotting Yun lying on the ground, drenched in blood.

"Tang Yan, you're not dead… did he save you? Who is he?" Junior Sister Yun spoke weakly, her eyes dull.

"He is Wang Xu. He just saved me. Don't worry; he will definitely rescue you!" Tang Yan clasped Junior Sister Yun's hand, tears streaming down her face.

Wang Xu's face darkened as he noticed Li Ming lying nearby, barely clinging to life.

"Hehe, Brother Wang, you really are something; I didn't misjudge you... hehe." Li Ming managed a pale smile upon seeing Wang Xu.

Li Ming was covered in injuries, his armor in tatters, and if not for his swollen eyes still opening slightly, he would have looked just like a corpse.

Wang Xu raised his head, fury burning in his gaze, palpable enough to devour anyone!

He glared at the two Westerners standing beside him, the ones who had heavily injured Junior Sister Yun and Li Ming!

"Hmph!" The other young Westerner snorted coldly, drawing his sword and transforming into a ghost-like figure as he launched an attack on Wang Xu, with a beam of sword light racing toward him!

Wang Xu was undeterred, swinging the Blood Bone Giant Blade to clash with the sword light!

The massive force jolted Wang Xu's hands, but he quickly stepped sideways and gripped the knife handle, rising up from a tricky angle!

The young Westerner's expression changed; he attempted to retreat. But as soon as he took a step back, Wang Xu's blade twisted, followed by a faint sound of thunder.

 Thunderbolt Strike!

This strike was like a flash of lightning. The young Westerner couldn't evade in time and could only watch in terror as the long knife pierced through his heart, hanging him on the Blood Bone Giant Blade!

"Puff!" With a jolt, the blade split the young Westerner in two, propelling his body away, blood splattering everywhere.

The remaining young Westerner girl could no longer maintain her composure, rapidly retreating, fear evident in her gaze as she looked at Wang Xu.

Not far away, Weirun had stopped his offensive, appearing like a raging lion, his eyes bloodshot.

"You dare to kill my men? You're seeking death!"
