Chapter 3 - A Close Bond

Ye Chen woke up the next morning feeling well-rested. The villa was quiet except for the faint sound of birds chirping outside his window. He got dressed quickly and went downstairs, where he found Jiayi in the kitchen, humming a soft tune.

"Good morning, Sister Jiayi," he greeted with a smile.

Jiayi turned to him, her face lighting up. She wore a snug blouse that complimented her elegant figure, and her apron was tied neatly around her waist.

"Good morning, Ye Chen. You're up early," she said. "Come here."

Before he could respond, Jiayi wrapped her arms around him in a warm hug, her softness pressing against him. Ye Chen froze for a moment, then relaxed.

"Did you sleep well?" she asked, stepping back but still keeping her hands on his shoulders.

"Yes, I slept great," Ye Chen replied, feeling a little shy. "Thanks for making me feel at home."

Jiayi smiled. "That's what family is for."

As Jiayi turned back to the stove, Meixiu walked into the kitchen, yawning loudly.

"Morning, everyone," she said, stretching her arms over her head, which made her tight t-shirt ride up slightly, revealing her toned stomach. Her movements drew attention to her curvy figure.

"Good morning, Sister Meixiu," Ye Chen said.

"Morning, Ye Chen," Meixiu replied with a playful grin. She walked straight up to him and threw her arms around his neck, pulling him into a quick hug.

"Whoa," Ye Chen said, startled.

"What? Can't a sister-in-law hug her favorite brother-in-law?" Meixiu teased, pulling away just enough to look into his eyes, her face inches from his.

"You've been really affectionate since I got here," Ye Chen said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Get used to it," Meixiu said, planting a quick kiss on his cheek before letting go. "Besides, I like having you around."

"Meixiu, stop teasing him," Jiayi said, giving her a disapproving look.

"I'm not teasing. I'm just being honest," Meixiu replied with a wink.

Just then, Lianyi appeared in the doorway, holding a small tray with a potted plant on it.

"Good morning, Ye Chen," Lianyi said softly, her cheeks slightly pink. She wore a light dress that hugged her slender waist and emphasized her ample bust.

"Good morning, Sister Lianyi," Ye Chen said, smiling warmly.

Lianyi hesitated for a moment, then walked over to him. Without a word, she leaned in and gave him a gentle hug, resting her head briefly against his chest.

"Uh, good morning to you too," Ye Chen said, feeling his heart race.

"Did you sleep well?" Lianyi asked, stepping back and looking up at him with her big, expressive eyes.

"Yes, I did. Thank you," Ye Chen replied, his voice soft.

"Good," Lianyi said, giving him a small smile before sitting down at the dining table.

"Breakfast is ready," Jiayi announced, placing plates of food on the table. They all sat down and began eating together.

As they chatted, Meixiu leaned toward Ye Chen. "So, what's the plan for today? Are you going to help me with my errands or stick with Jiayi again?"

"Errands?" Ye Chen asked.

"Yeah, I need to pick up some stuff in town," Meixiu said. "Come with me. It'll be fun."

Jiayi interrupted. "He helped me yesterday, so it's fair that he helps Meixiu today."

Lianyi looked up from her plate. "Can I join you two?"

"Sure," Meixiu said. "The more, the merrier."

After breakfast, the three of them headed out. Meixiu took the lead, walking with her usual confident stride. Lianyi stayed close to Ye Chen, her hand brushing against his occasionally.

"You're quiet today, Sister Lianyi," Ye Chen said, looking at her.

"I just like listening," Lianyi replied softly, giving him a shy smile.

They visited a few shops, picking up various items Meixiu needed. At one point, she pulled Ye Chen into a clothing store.

"You need new shirts," Meixiu declared, holding up a sleek black shirt.

"My clothes are fine," Ye Chen said.

"No, they're not. Trust me," Meixiu replied, pushing him toward the dressing room.

Lianyi stood nearby, holding a few other options. "This one would suit you too," she said, holding up a light blue shirt.

"All right, I'll try them," Ye Chen said, disappearing into the dressing room.

When he stepped out wearing the black shirt, Meixiu whistled. "Not bad, Ye Chen. Not bad at all."

Lianyi's cheeks turned pink as she nodded. "You look very handsome."

"Thanks," Ye Chen said, feeling a little embarrassed.

After finishing their errands, they returned home. Jiayi was waiting for them in the living room, reading a book. She looked up and smiled as they walked in.

"Welcome back. Did you get everything done?" Jiayi asked.

"Yes, and we even got Ye Chen a new shirt," Meixiu said, smirking.

"It suits him," Lianyi added, glancing shyly at Ye Chen.

"Let me see," Jiayi said, standing up and walking over to him. She adjusted the collar of his shirt, her fingers brushing against his neck. "It fits you perfectly."

"Thanks, Sister Jiayi," Ye Chen said, feeling his face heat up.

Jiayi gave him a warm smile and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "You're part of the family now, Ye Chen. Don't forget that."

As the day went on, they spent time together playing board games and sharing stories. Every moment felt filled with warmth and connection.

Later that evening, as they sat on the couch watching a movie, Jiayi leaned her head on Ye Chen's shoulder, while Lianyi rested against his other side. Meixiu sat on the floor in front of him, leaning back casually against his legs.

"This is nice," Jiayi said softly, her eyes half-closed.

"Yeah," Ye Chen replied, feeling a sense of belonging he hadn't felt in years.

By the time the movie ended, everyone was too relaxed to move. Jiayi stood up first, stretching.

"Time for bed," she said, looking at Ye Chen. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Sister Jiayi," Ye Chen replied.

Lianyi hesitated before standing. She walked over to Ye Chen and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight, Ye Chen."

"Goodnight, Sister Lianyi," he said, feeling his heart skip a beat.

As Lianyi walked upstairs, Meixiu leaned in close to him, her playful grin back.

"Don't get too comfortable, Ye Chen. I'll keep you on your toes," she said, planting a kiss on his other cheek before standing and heading to her room.

Ye Chen sat there for a moment, touching his cheeks where their kisses lingered.

"This is… different," he muttered, smiling to himself as he headed upstairs to his room.
