Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Farewell to Home

The morning sun rises over the village, casting a golden light over the samurai estate. Minami stands on the wooden porch of her family's home, taking in the familiar view, knowing it might be her last for a long time. Her heart is steady, yet a small part of her hesitates, questioning if she's truly ready to leave everything she's known.

Minami speaks with her father, Lord Hiroshi, who watches her in silence, assessing her resolve. He reminds her of the family's honor, the pride they carry in their bloodline, and the dangers she will face on her journey. Though his words are stern, there is a softness in his gaze—a father's pride for his daughter.

She also speaks with her mother, who gives her a small family charm, a token of protection. "Wherever you go, this will remind you of home," her mother whispers, fighting back tears. Minami's younger brother, eager to keep her spirits high, gifts her a small bundle of supplies and assures her he'll continue training hard, waiting to challenge her when she returns.

With her family's blessings, Minami makes her way to the village gate. A small crowd of villagers gathers, having heard rumors of her departure. Some of the younger villagers look up to her with admiration, while the elders offer silent nods of respect. She feels a mixture of emotions—pride, excitement, and a pang of sadness.

At the gate, Minami turns to her family one last time. "I will make you proud," she promises. Then, with a final bow, she steps forward, setting her sights on the horizon.

As Minami walks away, she feels the thrill of freedom and the weight of her responsibility merging into one. The road ahead is uncertain, but she is determined to face whatever comes her way. She's not just on a quest for strength—she's on a journey to discover who she truly is.
