Lily's husband never failed to remind her of her position in their so called marriage, his comments about her were never nice and everything she said or did irritated him. She shuddered as she could feel his cold stare from somewhere across the room, then she sipped her champagne and sighed knowing that he would punish her for an unknown reason later. They were at another dull event that he'd dragged her to, to flaunt and sometimes embarrass her in front of his friends.
He'd made their roles very clear from the beginning, and she'd gone along with it because she'd really needed the money he'd offered her then. She was a stripper barely making ends meet and Damian took interest in her for some reason. All the times she'd performed, she'd remembered him watching her from the VIP section with wicked eyes and she'd felt scared and confused.
Soon he started making advances towards her and being broke, Lily saw it as an opportunity. She told him she'd be his if he married her, thinking they'd be bound together for good and he'd take care of her. She should've found it suspicious that he easily agreed but she was so excited at the thought of getting rich overnight that when he gave her the marriage documents to sign, she signed them without reading a single line. They had a small wedding with a few friends and wealthy business moguls in attendance and since then Damian has been a wicked dominant beast while Lily was his decoration in public and sex toy at home.
He always got a response from her every time he fucked her, and he loved hearing her beg for more. Lily never complained about his wicked amd sadistic nature though, she was the submissive wife who lived the best luxurious life a lavishly in exchange for her husband treating her however he wanted. She no longer had to dance at the club or owe loan sharks so Lily would say that her marriage to Damian was a small price to pay.
She drank the rest of her champagne once and set the glass on the table before she moved out to the Veranda to escape Damian's cold eyes. After some time outside, she had a strange thought which made her slip out of her expensive heels and lift herself up on the ledge. She smiled widely as she spread out her arms and closed her eyes feeling the warm breeze against her skin. She felt something she hadn't felt in a long time. Freedom.
"What the fuck?! Don't you dare jump." The voice shattered through Lily's daydream, startling her. She lost balance but was forcefully yanked backwards by her waist in time. Lily fell on top of her charming rescuer feeling shocked and afraid. She would've died if he wasn't there to save her but then again, it wouldn't be so bad to die now would it?
"I hope this isn't what i think it is, Kitten?"
Her shock cleared and her senses came back to her. She stood up quickly but unsteadily, leaning on the guy who'd accidentally almost killed her by assuming she wanted to kill herself. Lily turned to him with a small smile before meeting her husband's cold as ever gaze. Damian looked uninterested in whether or not she just tried to kill herself but Lily knew better. He was angry as fuck.
"It's definitely not whatever you think sweetheart, i was doing something else and almost fell but this man just saved me."
"And what exactly were you doing here, kitten?"
"I was just daydreaming and being silly again," she said with a fake laugh. "I was uh- sitting on the ledge, ignoring the fact I've drank a lot. But then this man here…" She stopped suddenly looking at the man who just caused her unnecessary trouble. "Uh- can you please tell me your name?."
"My name's Liam."
"Liam got here on time before i lost balance and fell."
"I see." He dropped his arm round Lily's waist and drew her closer to him. "My sweetheart you really need to be careful at places like this." He planted a kiss on my forehead and Lily knew she was getting punished for sure. "Let's go home right now, I'm a bit tired." He started moving away but Lily stood still to make him stop in his tracks.
"Shouldn't you at least reward the man who just saved the life of your precious wife?" Damian looked down at her and from the look in his eyes, Lily wished she hadn't said that, but she felt like she owed Liam for saving her even though he had caused it.
"I see, let's do that, shall we?." He slipped a hand inside his pocket.
" So how much are we talking about here, kitten?"
"Well since I'm so precious you should give him three thousand dollars at least," Lily said with a touch of sarcasm.
"Three thousand dollars to that guy?," Damian chuckled drily, "Well if that's what you want me to do, my Kitten."
Lily's heart raced quickly, why was he suddenly going along with what she was saying? This has to be a trap or some sick game to him, she was definitely going to get it soon. She felt sick all of sudden and struggled to keep her composure.
"Thank you so much" Liam said as Damian handed him the money, "I'm really grateful for this, sir and take good care of yourself ma'am."
"Yes, yes. You may go back to your work, we have urgent business to attend to now." He turned away from Liam, returning his arm to Lily's waist, leading her away to her punishment.
