Chapter 1 - Chapter 21: The Foreign Realm

In the dim, dark space, a speck of light slowly flickered to life. A familiar aura around him calmed Arthil, soothing his spirit.

In the darkness, a primal sense was magnified, transmitting a bit of information into Arthil's mind.

In an instant, Arthil understood where he was.

He lifted his head, gazing ahead.

There, a speck of white light danced, hanging in the dark space's sky like a white sun.

Seeming to sense Arthil's gaze, the white sun gently pulsed, sending ripples through the surrounding space, and through some mystical connection, it conveyed information to Arthil's soul.

"Is this the coordinate of the world?"

In an instant, Arthil comprehended what this was.

By this point, he had already grasped the full extent of the matter.

His soul seemed to be quite unique, able to receive some information from the void and capture the coordinates of certain worlds, establishing a connection through these coordinates, and under the right conditions, allowing him to travel to other worlds.

In his previous two lives, it had been this very ability that had enabled him, as an ordinary person, to cross over to other worlds twice, allowing him to reincarnate into other worlds both times.

This ability to traverse had always existed within his soul, but it was only recently fully activated, bringing him to this initial dark space.

Reflecting on this, Arthil had a thought.

He thought about the odd dreams that had appeared, a sharp intuition that made him sense the pattern.

"Was it because of the activation of the Life Seed?"

This thought flashed through his mind, and then the white sun before him flashed with a bright light.

This light was warm and yet sharp, the light of the world, but without any tangible heat.

Feeling this light, Arthil instinctively reached out his hand toward the white sun before him.

A crisp breaking sound rang in this space that existed only of the soul, and then a massive door appeared before Arthil, slowly opening and sucking him in directly.

Before Arthil could react, he felt a great force pulling him from the other side, leaving him no power to resist, and he was sucked into the door.

Behind the door, a world slowly unfolded before him.

His will gradually recovered, and the light appeared again before his eyes.

Arthil suddenly opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing in them, as he scanned his surroundings.

The scenery around him made him pause.

Before him stood an ancient high-rise, about eight or nine stories tall, but very dilapid, as if it had been abandoned for a long time, weathered by the long passage of time.

On the high-rise, some plants grew, climbing along the ancient walls, and green moss densely covered the gray walls.

This familiar yet unfamiliar scene made Arthil pause, almost making him think he had returned to that once peaceful world.

However, the scenery that followed quickly dispelled this thought.

In the distance, black soil trembled, and from below, a creature three or four meters long drilled out of the ground.

The creature had eight long legs, each with a hook at the end, looking sharp, its body structure similar to certain insects, only much, much larger, making it look all the more terrifying.

With his keen eyesight, Arthil saw the insect beast clearly.

Instinctively, he flashed to the side, using the building to conceal his body.

Insects often had poor eyesight, but Arthil was certain this insect beast was not within the normal range and might still be able to sense him.

Having just arrived, he did not want to engage in a pointless battle with these strange beasts.

Watching the insect beast gradually move away, Arthil suddenly thought of something and silently intoned in his mind, "Chip, activate monitoring mode, monitor my surroundings!"

"Monitoring template activated!" A mechanical voice sounded in his mind, a sound so pleasant at that moment to Arthil.

"Thank goodness, the chip is still there." Arthil sighed in relief.

He carefully felt his body, finding it no different from before.

The strength in his body and the Life Seed were still there, and with the chip's check, he found no difference, clearly showing he was not in a hallucination.

"Seems this time I didn't just cross as a soul, but brought my entire body with me."

This thought flashed through Arthil's mind, making him ponder.

At this, Arthil's right hand quietly moved to his chest.

With a mental command, a peculiar sensation came to Arthil through his soul.

"Seven more days to go back?"

Instinctively, Arthil understood this sensation, speaking aloud to himself.

Crossing was not done at will, even with this ability akin to a talent, it required energy to activate.

In this crossing, Arthil had already used up most of the power he had accumulated, and to return, he would need to wait for a while.

Thinking of this, Arthil shook his head, gazing ahead.

The world before him was somewhat similar to the world of his first life, but the level of technology seemed much lower, and the situation did not look too good.

He now stood beside a high-rise, behind which was a street, looking somewhat like a modern city.

Standing there, Arthil thought for a moment, then walked towards the city.

He had come to this world alone, his body carrying only a sword and some gold coins, with no food or water, making it quite challenging to last seven days.

Compared to the wilderness, in a city, it would be easier to find some food.

Moreover, Ar thil wanted to find some information in the city, to understand the world he was in.

The city was not far from Arthil, and with his speed, it took him only a few minutes to arrive.

But upon entering the city, an eerie atmosphere made Arthil frown.

"Too quiet."

This thought flashed through his mind as he looked at the long street before him.

The street looked somewhat ancient, with modern buildings but also many wooden structures, scattered around, making the area seem quite sparse.

The technology level of this world did not seem too high.

As Arthil walked past a building, he saw a photograph on the ground.

It was a black and white photo, looking quite simple, showing a couple and a four or five-year-old little girl, smiling happily in the picture.

Beside the photo, were three desiccated corpses, two female and one male, two large and one small.

The male desiccated corpse had an arm stretched out, pressing the photo tightly, and due to the long time, it had adhered to the photo.
