Prologue: Lost in the Haze
I stood at the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the endless horizon. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the world. But my heart remained shrouded in darkness.
At 17, I felt lost. Torn between being the perfect daughter, sister, and friend, and chasing my own dreams. My relationships were tangled webs of expectation and disappointment. My family's needs suffocated me, leaving me gasping for air.
And God? Silence.
Where was He in the chaos? Why didn't He answer my prayers?
I thought I knew what faith looked like – pristine Sunday mornings, Spirit filled worship, hands clasped in prayer, and scripture-filled social media posts. But now, doubt crept in like a thief in the night.
Who am I, really?
As the stars began to twinkle, I whispered my deepest fear:
"What if I'm not enough?"
The wind whispered back:
"You are."
But was it just the wind, or was it Him?
I took a deep breath, and began my journey to find out.
