Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Abigail

On the porch of a small white cottage, the figure of a young girl of about 17 years could be seen sipping tea. This peaceful scene was disrupted when a small flashing figure jumped on Abigail, she screamed in shock as her precious coffee was sent flying into the flowerbeds. Her big brown eyes stared daggers at her dog,Blackie. It was weird she knew, but what do you name a dog that is pure black, White?. A scream was heard as she chased Blackie, who scoffed at her before diving into the thick bushes. She could only glare resentfully as she went in to clean herself up. Abigail Everest was 17, slim, smart, rich but living in the countryside, why you may ask? Her parents died in an airplane crash and she left to live near the mountains. Abigail soon dived under the covers to read her most favourite Novel "Prodigiously Amazing Weaponsmith". The next day was Monday so she got up, but then remembered she had no classes till 2 pm, so she decided to go shopping. Abigail couldn't decide what to buy and was about to leave the store, when she bumped into a lady who immediately got angry.

The lady let out an ear piercing shriek that immediately caught the attention of passersby who rushed to the scene.

"Madam, I am so sorry. Let me take care of this" Abigail said, trying to pacify the Lady, whose eyes were scanning Abigail's clothes. The moment she realised Abigail's clothes were not from a popular brand, She flung her hands off Abi as if she was touching something disgusting. Abigail, not knowing what was wrong with that woman, only shrugged and hurried off to her class.

From a window afar off, an Old woman who saw Abigail only smiled.

"That girl is too naive" The Old lady commented while sipping her tea.

"Things aren't always as they seem Madam" was all the butler commented as they starred in the direction Abigail had run towards.
