Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

### Arc 4: **The Gathering Storm**

#### Chapter 1: **A Fragile Victory**

Jae-min stood by the window of his penthouse, staring out at the city below. The lights sparkled like jewels, but tonight, they did little to ease his mind. AstraLux's victory over Noah Corp had been a resounding one, but the victory felt hollow. He could sense it—something was brewing beneath the surface. His enemies wouldn't let his ascent go unchallenged.

"Thinking too hard again?" Elyra's voice came from behind him, soft yet teasing. She walked over, her long silver hair flowing like silk, and placed a steaming cup of coffee in his hand. "You've been standing here for an hour."

Jae-min glanced at her and managed a small smile. "Just trying to figure out what's next. Min-jae might be done, but his allies won't just roll over."

Elyra crossed her arms, leaning against the wall. "Let them come. You've outsmarted worse."

The confidence in her tone reassured him, but only slightly. Elyra had been instrumental in the Noah Corp takedown, her intelligence and cunning proving invaluable. Yet Jae-min knew that as AstraLux grew, so would the threats against it.

His thoughts were interrupted by the chime of his phone. He glanced at the screen and frowned. It was a message from Lena.

> **Lena:** "We've got a problem. Meet me at the office ASAP."

"What is it?" Elyra asked, noticing the change in his expression.

"Lena," Jae-min replied, already grabbing his coat. "Something's up."

---

The AstraLux headquarters was quiet at this hour, but Lena's office was lit. Jae-min stepped inside to find Lena pacing, her tablet in hand. She looked up, her usually calm demeanor replaced with urgency.

"We've got a new player in the game," Lena said, handing him the tablet. "Kael Enterprises. They've been quietly buying up shares of smaller companies we've partnered with."

Jae-min scrolled through the data, his frown deepening. "Kael Daichi. I've heard the name before. Ruthless and ambitious."

"He's more than that," Lena said. "He's been building his empire for years, waiting for an opportunity to strike. And now, he sees you as a threat."

Jae-min's grip on the tablet tightened. "What's his angle?"

"Leverage," Lena replied. "He's targeting our supply chain, trying to destabilize us from the inside."

Elyra, who had followed Jae-min into the office, leaned against the desk. "So, what's the plan? Fight fire with fire?"

Jae-min smirked. "Not just fire. We're going to burn him to the ground."

---

The following day, Jae-min called a meeting with his core team. Riho, with her no-nonsense demeanor, was the first to arrive, followed by Hana, who brought her analytical expertise to the table. Even Ayumi, whose social connections often proved invaluable, joined in.

"We're dealing with Kael Daichi," Jae-min began, addressing the group. "He's making moves against AstraLux, and we need to counter him before he gains too much ground."

"Kael is dangerous," Riho said, her tone serious. "He's not like Min-jae. He plays the long game, and he's not afraid to get his hands dirty."

"That's why we need to be smarter," Jae-min replied. "Lena, I want a full analysis of Kael Enterprises—every deal, every connection, every weakness."

Lena nodded. "Already on it."

"Hana," Jae-min continued, "start looking into our supply chain. Find out where Kael's been targeting us and strengthen those areas."

"Got it," Hana said.

"And Riho," Jae-min added, "I need you to dig into Kael's personal life. If there's anything we can use against him, I want to know."

Riho smirked. "Consider it done."

As the meeting ended, Jae-min felt a renewed sense of determination. Kael might be a formidable opponent, but Jae-min had faced worse. With his team by his side and the system's resources at his disposal, he was ready to take on whatever came next.

---

Later that night, as Jae-min sat in his study, a soft voice broke the silence.

"You seem more focused tonight."

Jae-min turned to see Mira, the system girl, sitting on the edge of his desk. Her ethereal presence always managed to calm him, even in the most chaotic moments.

"I don't have a choice," Jae-min said. "Kael is coming for everything I've built."

Mira tilted her head, a playful smile on her lips. "And you'll win. You always do."

Jae-min chuckled. "You sound awfully confident."

"I have faith in you," Mira said, her gaze softening. "And don't forget, I'm here to help."

Jae-min nodded, feeling a sense of reassurance he hadn't expected. With Mira's support and his team's expertise, he was ready to face Kael Daichi and anyone else who dared to challenge him.
