"Please, please! Save me I beg of you," I voiced out begging Cress Marianos the most ruthless Mafia Lord in Italy.
"Hmm and why would I do that,"he responded.
"I would do anything,just please get me out of here, I can't die like this," I said, my voice already breaking.
"Okay I will save you but you have to become my slave in return," he replied.
"Sure anything,just please save me," I replied, barely conscious.
"Well then consider yourself…
Before I could hear him fully I lost consciousness…
I slowly opened my eyes,still feeling a little sleepy, and suddenly I heard a voice.
"Hey are you awake?"
My gaze shifted to the voice I heard, a young lady with brown hair and brown eyes, she stared at me with a warm smile.
"Who are you?I tried to speak but my voice cracked.
"My name is Sarah,one of the maids here at Mariano's house", she replied offering me water, "you have been asleep for a whole week now".
I tried moving my body and then I felt a sharp pain in my right arm.
"Easy with your movement dear, the injury in that arm is still healing and might I ask who you might be and how you got the injury?" she asked.
As for who I was,I didn't even know how to answer her, until a month ago I would proudly reply that I was the daughter of the great Grede Mafia family.
A month ago…
A meeting between the Grede Mafia family and the Irvine syndicate was taking place right in front of me.
It was about land we owned and it seemed like they wanted it but my people were unwilling to sell it.
"We will offer you millions of Euros just to sell this land to us,"an elder from the Irvine syndicate spoke up.
My father seemed very displeased at this meeting and I'm pretty sure it's because the leader of the Irvine syndicate is not around for this meeting.
I have heard that the new leader is a very rude and egoistic man that does whatever he pleases without a care for the complication.
"Before I reply to you any further I would like to know where your leader is, he is supposed to be in attendance in this meeting but I can't seem to see him," my Father said with a stern voice.
"Well he's too busy and will not be able to attend the meeting but we the elders are here for it ,"the elder replied.
"The only reason I showed up today was because I was told your leader would be here but since he doesn't have the decency to show up while another leader is waiting, I don't think I can stand being here any longer," My Father voiced out in anger and then he continued talking.
"Too busy with what exactly?I am a leader too and I showed up for this meeting but he can't, Gredes we are leaving now," he said.
"But what about the deal,"another elder asked.
"Well whatever was going to be the deal is over and I was never gonna sell that land,it has always been a part of our history and will always be," my father replied.
"You are definitely going to regret this decision,"the elder said.
My father didn't even bother to reply to him and just left me and the other Grede Mafia members followed suit.
All the way back to the headquarters,my father was fuming with anger, it had been a really long time since I had seen my father this angry.
It was total silence throughout the ride until we got back home and I just had to break it.
"Father please calm yourself down , I know you are furious but you just have to calm down," I said as we both entered his office.
" I just can't believe that man Ash Irvine, the new leader, did not show up, what sort of disrespect is that?" he voiced out furiously.
I went towards him and then began massaging his shoulders trying to calm him down.
"Father just try to calm down okay, we went there to decline their request and his absence made it much easier for us to do so," I said.
"I know my dear Evie, I had heard rumors about how rude he was but this was just too extreme," Father said.
"Just relax a little, okay you need it, also I had a call from uncle he should be back next month,"I said.
"Ohh I'm even mad at him too cause he was the one who pushed for this meeting so bad and now see how it turned out ," he stated.
Well uncle is definitely going to have an earful when he gets back home.
"Dad just rest a little okay and please call your fury down, I need to go settle some stuff now so I will be leaving now okay," I said and I quickly left so as to avoid complaints about everything from him.
I really do hope this does not turn out to be something crazy like a huge fight.
A week went by and it seemed like the tension had gone down a lot from both mafia groups.
I had lots of work done this past few weeks , I just decided to head straight to bed when I got home.
It wasn't so long before I began to hear a bomb explosion, gunshots and the whole place shaking seriously.
I immediately got up on my bed and held my gun with my hand and then made my way outside. I opened my door and the destruction I was seeing was just beyond what I had imagined.
"Hey Evie,stop staring and run," My closest friend Ivy voiced out as she pulled me and we ran.
"Ivy, how exactly did this happen, we have never been invaded before and who would even do such a thing?" I asked as we were running.
"I don't know but somehow the Irvine syndicate got into our defense and now they have destroyed almost everything," she replied.
Irvine syndicate,how could they do this just because of some land.
"And where is father Ivy?" I asked.
"He said I should make sure you are safe first ,he's at the Frontline trying to fight back."
"Well then why are we running the opposite way Ivy ,we should be there helping them," I voiced out.
"Well your father orders that you should be out of here first Evie," she said as she continued to drag me and we ran.
Out of nowhere we began to see some Irvine syndicate members running right behind us and they were getting closer and closer.
"Evie from here on you have to go on by yourself okay, I will block them and give you time so you can escape but do not look back no matter what," she uttered.
"But Ivy, I can't leave you here," I said.
"Yes you can, you will.
" she said then pushed me forward and she ran back.
"Evie run!! Keep running no matter what you must survive!!!"
