SEVEN DEADLY SINS

*A dream... I had a dream.

In a massive battlefield, there was a man standing against millions of creatures—humans, demons, angels, fallen angels, yokai, monsters, dragons. They all wanted a piece of him. That man was nothing more than a being with the appearance of a kind person, someone who seemed like they had never fought a single battle in their life.

But suddenly, a terrifying darkness emerged, accompanied by an immense aura of killing intent. It was as though he had revealed his true nature. With a single movement, he annihilated the enemies while muttering something about the "seven deadly sins" or "release"—something along those lines. I didn't pay much attention to his words because I was overwhelmed by the scene before me: millions of terrifying creatures' corpses had fallen to the ground, like dead leaves.

What struck me afterward was the sight of that man walking among the corpses with lifeless eyes, as though he was consumed by emptiness. It wasn't the emptiness of power, but rather, the emptiness of someone who had nothing left to lose. In that moment, a thought flashed in my mind: 'Never face someone who has nothing to lose.'

And then, I remembered myself. I was an orphan with no family, and I, too, had nothing left. A fleeting thought crossed my mind: 'Could I become this strong?' But my body froze when I noticed that man looking directly at me.

He looked at me as if he had known I was there the entire time. With one of his lifeless eyes shedding tears of blood, he said to me: 'Don't become like me.'

...

Then I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was a strange dream. I realized I had been crying, just like that man—but the only difference was that my tears weren't blood like his.

I got out of bed, took a shower, and looked at myself in the mirror. As usual, I looked handsome—I tried joking with myself to distract from the thoughts of that dream. Everyone says you can't remember dreams well after waking up, but I could recall every detail with terrifying clarity. I remembered the last thing that man said to me: 'Don't become like me.'

I sighed sadly as I recalled his expression and muttered to myself: 'What do you mean by "don't become like me"? Why did you look so sad when you were that powerful?'

Suddenly, I heard a strange voice in my mind: 'The inheritance has begun.'

I was struck by a severe headache and fell to my knees, trying to stand up, but the pain immobilized me. I couldn't even call for help, but then again, I was alone—who would even help me?

Eventually, the headache subsided, and a black screen appeared before me, like in a video game. I panicked, but then the voice returned and said:

'Inheritance complete. Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Seven Deadly Sins.'

My immediate reaction was to blurt out a famous phrase: 'What the hell?'

The blank screen lit up, revealing seven categories:
