NINA
Molten lava coursed through my veins.
It was pain like I had never felt before, brutal and hot. Screams ripped from my throat and I dug at my skin, wishing the blood would escape. It was too much. It was just too much.
It twisted through my blood like sharp spikes, continuously tearing at my blood vessels. I scratched at myself, at the floor, banging my head up and down, tearing at my hair and my eyes. Anything to ease the pain even a little.
Nothing helped.
All rational thoughts of anything and anyone else flew from my mind, the pain occupying central space. I couldn't see through it but I knew Gabrielle didn't fare any better.
The iron bars were left open. Not that we could do much in the way of escaping in this state.
A sharp spike in the pain had me striking at my head, slamming it relentlessly against the wall to make it stop.
