An Unusual Nighttime Visitor
When the narrative begins, Chai Xiaoqi has moved into her temporary hiding place on the outskirts of the city. Although the small shack she found was dirty and disorganized, her ingenuity turned it into a comfortable base. To replicate the luxuries of her spaceship, she made a bed out of leftover cushions and recycled objects.
She fumbled with the alien equipment, trying to find the lost signal orb as darkness fell. As the gadget beeped and buzzed, indicating interference, her annoyance increased.
"The magnetic field of this planet is so erratic! Her antennae glowed dimly in frustration as she whispered, "How do humans even manage?"
Xiaoqi was unaware that her acts had drawn notice. A person had seen her antennae's light a bystander, who quickly reported "a UFO sighting" to the local authorities.
The Unsolved Mystery of Fang Leng
Meanwhile, the CEO, Fang Leng, who was distant and abrasive, kept thinking about the weird girl he had met. He watched the surveillance footage Jiang Xue had gathered while seated in his opulent penthouse. The recordings showed Xiaoqi's shenanigans in the city, including her hilarious escape from a restaurant, her spinning in the rotating door, and her conversation with the traffic light.
Fang Leng's normally composed manner gave way to curiosity. "She's literally out of this world—not just unusual." Lost in meditation, he drummed his fingers on the table. He grinned at her naivete in the video despite himself.
His thoughts were interrupted by Jiang Xue. Should I notify security so they may follow her further, sir? She could pose a risk.
"No, not just yet. I'd want to see her again and learn more about her true identity," Fang Leng said.
The Fateful Meeting
Disguised in human clothing she had discovered next to her shed, Xiaoqi returned to the busy city early the following morning. Her actions still identified her, even though her looks blended in better. She spoke to a vending machine as if it were alive, marveling at it. Even though a small group of people were laughing at her antics, she was unmoved.
By happenstance, Fang Leng saw her while driving to a business appointment. His piercing eyes met hers as he got out of his black sports vehicle, which screamed to a stop.
"You again," he said softly but authoritatively. Xiaoqi quickly recognized him and frozen.
She said to herself, "Oh no, the angry Earthling!" and then tried to run.
Anticipating her next action, Fang Leng swiftly grabbed her arm. He insisted, "Who are you, and why do you keep causing trouble?" Flustered, Xiaoqi used her time-freezing power, but to her surprise, it failed to work on him once more.
"Why does this person not freeze? Does he have immunity? Her antennae twitched in bewilderment as she thought.
Fang Leng became even more suspicious after observing her odd response. "You're not your usual self, are you?" His voice was quiet, more inquisitive than accusing.
A Disorganized Chase
Frantically, Xiaoqi squirmed out of his hold and rushed inside the closest structure, a posh department store. In order to prevent her from slipping, Fang Leng followed away.
The resulting mayhem was hilarious.
When Xiaoqi attempted to ask a mannequin for instructions, he confused it for a human, which resulted to the mannequins toppling down.
Struggling to get out, she stepped onto an escalator heading in the other direction.
Despite his frustration, Fang Leng couldn't help but smile at her awkward antics.
At last, Xiaoqi hid behind a big teddy bear in the children's area. With ease, Fang Leng located her, looking down at her while folding his arms. "You realize how bad you are at hiding?"
With a groan, Xiaoqi got to her feet after realizing she was surrounded. "All right, you've got me, Earthling. Don't ask too many questions, though! She pouted as she said.
An Unwilling Bond
Sensing she was harmless, Fang Leng changed his strategy. "All right. Let's begin with something easy. What is your name?
With hesitation, she said, "Chai Xiaoqi," pulling back her antennas to make herself seem more human.
He pushed, "And what exactly are you doing here in the city?"
A loud grumble from Xiaoqi's stomach broke off the talk. She murmured with embarrassment, "Uh...research. I'm studying human food, yes! Despite raising an eyebrow, Fang Leng chose to make fun of her.
He took her to a neighboring café, where Xiaoqi's strange interest created a stir once more. To Fang Leng's dismay, she tried to sip ketchup, tasted sugar packets, and sniffed every meal.
He rubbed his temples and murmured, "You're impossible." But he couldn't help but find her strangeness charming.
A Sneak Peek at the Reality
A squad of policemen arrived as they were leaving the café, reacting to the previous account of a UFO sighting. As Xiaoqi's antennae began to flash dimly in anxiety, she automatically reached for Fang Leng's hand.
"Avoid being caught by them! Please! With her large, teary eyes, she begged him, and he could not resist.
Fang Leng chose to assist after being taken aback by her vulnerability. He guided her down a number of alleys while deftly dodging the police. He turned to her once they were secure.
"Aren't you not human?" His tone was kind yet earnest, as he requested.
Torn between speaking the truth and keeping her mission a secret, Xiaoqi hesitated. She looked aside and said, "I... I can't say." Realizing he wouldn't obtain answers so simply, Fang Leng groaned.
Final Scene
As the story comes to an end, Fang Leng grudgingly offers her temporary residence at his
penthouse, oblivious to the turmoil she would introduce into his orderly existence. Though cautious, Xiaoqi accepted, appreciating his generosity.
Their disparate worlds started to blend together as they ventured into the night, creating the ideal atmosphere for an incredible tale of comedy, love, and exploration.
