A woman with long dark hair and dark eyes, dressed in black suit spoke with a smile on the corner of her lips.
"Thank you, ma'am!"
A young man with pale skin and short raven hair shouted in excitement as he got a small, wide device handed to him. With a quick package in the black polythene bag handed to him, he quickly rushed out of the game store without even minding to spare a glance around.
Today was the day Kenny had been hoping for.
After the launching of the new PS15, most football game lovers have been striving to get one. It was said that the PlayStation15 was made specially for the newly launched RPG soccer game Ultimate Revolution Soccer, a role-playing football game released three months ago.
Unfortunately for Kenny, he had been unable to get the console at that moment and had worked so hard to raise three thousand dollars to get it after three months. As an employee in a convenience store, he wasn't paid much to raise such a huge amount of money that quickly.
Even before he could get the money, he had to double his work period and also do other extra work in the streets. These were the only ways he could meet his needs and wants together, as he was an orphan who left the orphanage to an apartment when he was eighteen.
He was a die-hard lover of games... I mean football games... Football as a whole, and he loved playing most RPG football games that were released.
However, Ultimate Revolution Soccer was different.
The reviews on social media had made everyone believe that it truly was perfect. It was a game that took more than a year to complete and had surpassed every other RPG game worldwide.
Although he wasn't able to enjoy it immediately after its launching, Kenny was still happy to have it at last. He couldn't just wait to get the damned game set and play!
"I'll make my character the GOAT!"
With that promise in mind, Kenny rushed over and scampered into the streets of Beaverton Oregon.
It was almost nighttime, and the liveliness of the city didn't seem to be affected. Vehicles of different types continued to dash by, and several people progressed to their destination.
All Kenny had in his mind was just to get to his apartment and begin to play Ultimate Revolution Soccer with PS15. Nothing could express his joy at that moment.
The gaming world has made a huge advancement as technology has taken a huge step in growth. Now, most games have become more realistic and relatable, enhancing the interest rate of many.
PS14, which was launched a year ago, had sparked many surprises across the world when it was released; Kenny only wondered how good the new PS15 would be.
His apartment was somewhere on the outskirts of the city, which was pretty far from the Game store, but Kenny didn't mind to take transport. He had been used to this since he usually returned from work every day from a more distant place than the game store.
It took him over twenty minutes before he got to his apartment, an aged two-story building that contained sixteen apartments.
Kenny's apartment was located at the top of the building, which he personally chose because he loved an introverted life, as expected from a hardcore gamer.
He quickly walked into his apartment after progressing through the stairs and walked straight to face his large Sony TV. It had cost him three months to afford this TV as well... Definitely, because he wanted it large and perfectly comfortable for his games.
And it was worth it.
Without hesitation, Kenny unconnected the PS14 console on a small table set below the TV, and brought out the PS15 console. He connected it and watched the TV display the usual expected message.
[PS15.]
A smile emerged on Kenny's face the moment he took a glance, his heart relaxed and joy-filled.
"Here we go!" He shouted.
With a quick connection in the console with his newly purchased DualSense controller, Kenny hit his butt on the floor and squatted. He focused his view on the screen right after.
[Do you want to activate the PS15?]

He quickly clicked on the "Yes" icon without hesitation.

"Well, that's why I bought it!" Kenny smiled as he clicked on the Ultimate Revolution Soccer icon.

Kenny quickly progressed with creating a character as he couldn't hold on with his eagerness.

A range of different male characters suddenly appeared on the screen. Kenny decided to be wise in choosing and didn't dare to rush.
He inspected the first character.

Eyes color: Dark.
Hair color: Brown.
Story: A young winger from America who is incredibly talented. He is currently the best student in Legacy FC Academy, and the captain of the academy team.]
After taking a look at this character, there wasn't a convinced look on Kenny's face.
"No, I don't want him," he concluded.
He quickly scrolled to the next character.
[Name: Ryan Wells.
Age: 18.
Skin color: Pale.
Eyes color: Dark blue.
Hair color: Raven.
Story: A young center forward from England with bad skills, fitness, and football IQ. He is being bullied and underestimated by his peers in the Heritage FC Academy, and doesn't even get playtime in academy matches other than training.]
"Haa! Perfect!" Kenny exclaimed.
This was exactly what he wanted. He wanted a character with a bad stat, and lead him to become the GOAT... He had always wanted to progress the hard way, as it was more interesting to him.
"I'll go for Ryan Wells... Haa... The orphanage mistress told me that my father's name was Ryan," Kenny recalled.
Although he never saw his father or his mother. He only heard that they died in a car accident and stumbled into a lagoon right after the clash with a truck from a bridge.

However, his heart skipped the moment two hefty masked men dashed into his apartment with guns pointing straight toward his head.
"Hey! Get on the floor before I get you f**ked by a bullet!"
With a rush, Kenny threw the pad and embraced the floor.
He didn't want to die.
Not without enjoying the new game he just bought.
