Friday was particularly restless at the office as everyone was eyeing the clock for the end of the workday, eager to start the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
Just before leaving work, Yuan Xi received a call from Yang Ying, asking her to come home for the Dragon Boat Festival.
Yuan Xi responded with a light chuckle, "I'm sorry, Mom, John and I have already planned to take Little Huohuo to the beach for the Dragon Boat Festival, so I'm afraid we won't be able to spend it at home."
Yang Ying on the other end of the line said, "This will be our first Dragon Boat Festival together as a family since you came back, Xinxin. Traveling can be done anytime, but this is the first Dragon Boat Festival we'd have together since we found you."
Yuan Xi gripped her phone tighter. "Will Chu Yan be there during the Dragon Boat Festival?"
Yuan Xi was somewhat persuaded; she missed the Dragon Boat Festivals she used to celebrate with her parents when they were alive — lively and festive.
