2044, Approximately 600 meters above the bustling city of Aurora Cove, USA.
A barely noticeable crack, no more than 3 meters in height began expanding. Slowly, the crack spread as a bright blue and white glow perforating from it, as soon as it stopped growing something shot out, small, but fast. This "thing" was unfortunately heading straight for the city. Nobody noticed it until it hit the top of the first building, shooting right through its spire! Once the people below realized the situation and started causing a commotion, the "object" was heading for a second building!
"Ahhhhh!"
"The hell was that?! Did anyone catch it!"
"Fuck that, just run!"
Unbeknownst to the people below, the "UFO" began to move and glow a little before hitting the second building still at a high speed, going through the windows and out the other end. This took most of its momentum but it was still enough to crash into one last building, hitting the concrete wall and falling heavily onto the cars below.
After the "entity" fell, people began to realize what it really was.
"Is, is that a suit?"
"A super sci-fi suit." *Gasp* "Is this an alien invasion, run away!"
"OR maybe some government conspiracy!"
This gathering didn't last though, in less than five minutes emergency trucks and police pulled into the scene. They immediately began to obstruct the already clogged traffic, helping the injured, taping the scene, redirecting people coming near, and evacuating the nearby buildings. A tent was pitched up and police started patrolling the perimeter. After an hour of waiting, multiple military trucks rolled in. Numerous fully armed soldiers in gas masks burst out of the trucks and took over the patrol, setting up another tent, and telling the police to stand in line for the second tent for inspections.
Out of the last truck, A man not as heavily armed but still wearing a gas mask exited. Following him were five people in hazmat suits, the scientists immediately entered the second tent and started doing tests to check for any foreign diseases. The man instead walked into the first tent.
"Good evening, Captain!" The two soldiers saluted.
"What's the situation?" The man asked, saluting back.
"The perimeter is clear and the tent has been set." One soldier spoke.
"Although there has been subtle glowing, the UAP has yet to move." The second soldier said after.
"Any deaths?"
"No sir."
The man sighed in relief and walked into the tent. "Took ya long 'nough! Geez, we got aliens fallin' from the sky here, and y'all are takin' y'all sweet time…"
The tent wasn't very big, around 3 by 9 meters. It had a few electronic objects in it including a radio, a satellite with a view of the surrounding area, and a coffee machine. In the middle of the room was a medium-sized square retractable metal table. A woman sat lazily on one side with a coffee in hand. "Want one? Also really, a mask?" She smirked. The man grimaced recognizing the voice. "Hello to you too Cate."
The man sat down in a huff, glancing at the third seat with a screen in front it, off. Cate being here looked to ruin his already stiff mood. "Why are you here, I don't need some cop to watch this problem when I have a whole company keeping guard." The captain scowled, ignoring her comment.
The man was middle-aged, 6'2", with short straight brown hair and sharp, light hazel eyes that could capture most people's attention. Affection or intimidation it didn't matter. Other than the mask, he wore a standard-issue Impact absorber vest, a Caseless Smart Rifle T3 strapped to the vest, and a Meava pistol on his hip.
Cate sat opposing him. Her smirk grew ever so wider. Cate was a 6'3", tanned mixed American with bright blue eyes, an unusual combination, and a forever stress-free attitude. A ballcap that held her dark brown, almost black, shoulder-length hair. She wore her active-duty uniform, her muscles were quite evident given how tight her uniform was on her. Over the uniform was her vest holding her captain's badge, a flashlight, handcuffs, and a few spare magazines. On her waist held two nonlethal semi-automatic police pistols which seemed properly maintained. "Well I'm 'ere, so suck it up sir~." The woman retorted, smirking growing even harder. "'sides, we're both captains so why can't I stay? Gotta keep the peace and all that."
"I can keep the peace myself."
"Oh~? Well I guess this IS some type of conspiracy theory then. Even my bestie Simon won't let me join in on this adventure. I wonder what'll happen if everybody notices me walking out all grumpy like. Maybe they'll have some opinions."
Her poor excuse left a soft groan on Simon's lips "Fine," he obliged.
"Yayy! Alien time!"

Surrounding the suit, in equal three meter spaces, were radio dishes, what they were collecting only the scientist knew. Wires connected to each dish that then were directed to a small power generator outside the tent, another set went towards the second tent. The second tent was nearly twice the size of the first. Just outside of it, a large cubic frequency detector sat with wires also connected to the generator and inside the tent. Finally going inside the tent were two spaces divided by a plastic curtain.
On one side, an electro-energy pinpointer sat, swiveling, which seemed to go off when pointing at the suit but nothing else. An area thermometer pointed towards the direction of the suit, would flicker from 40 to 70 Celsius now and then. Wires were all along the floor, connected to every one of these electronics, merged with another, and ported into five laptops. These laptops sat on a table like the first tent, unlike the first tent though this one had 3 men and 2 women. Two of the men and a woman, were on the laptops working on something, while the other two were behind the curtain, doing checkups on the officers.
"Did you feel anything uncomfortable when you were around the suit?" One of the scientists asked, flashing the officer's eyes to test if they dilated.
"Not really, at first I thought it was just a meteor or something, but who would've known it was a suit of armor right!?" Exclaimed the officer
"Yes yes, well it seems like you are perfectly fine so off you go. Make sure to tell the next one to come in."
"Oh, I'm the last one."
"Oh thank goodness, if I had to tell off another officer yelling conspiracy, I would've lost it." The second scientist exasperatedly joked. Still testing the saliva samples.
"You can say that again Carol." He then went over and tapped the curtain "Hey we've finished the work. I don't think we need the hazmat suits anymore."
The woman behind the curtain looked at him "We can never be too careful Kevin. This is an alien lifeform, it could be infected with a disease."
"But Dr. Z, We haven't picked up anything from any of our monitors." said one of the scientists still typing on his laptop.
"Yeah, and no officer has had any signs of any kind of sickness. So can't we at least wear a mask and gloves?" The Kevin moaned.
"Yeah, it's hella clammy," Carol said.
"Language Carol," Dr. Z snapped. "*Sigh*… No. We've just found our first UAP and you all are complaining about the hazmat suits! Set your priorities straight."
"Fiiiinnneee."x3
Suddenly, a machine started flashing with alarm. This machine had an outer circle screen wrapping a sphere, inside of which three dots lay. One bigger dot, one tiny dot, and a faded dot as big as the first just blinking, lay on the sphere with other 3D rubble and broken cars.
The only scientist yet to talk worriedly yelled from his laptop at the rest of his company, "Hey Steve, come check this out! The RRI machine is alerting me. I think one of them is waking up!"
Steve scooted over to the man and looked at his screen, worry flashed across his face. "Jeffery's right it's definitely gonna wake up all right. So… How should we approach this..." He asked the rest of the group.
Dr. Z responded, "We have measures in place, keep everyone out and wait for the captain to come!"
"Can we at least collect samples from it, please!" The Carol begged.
"No, we should wait. We don't know what can happen, it could very well be dangerous." Said Dr. Z
"Maybe we could sneak a sample from it," suggested Steve.
Kevin responded with a sour tone, "No, Dr. Z is right, it could be dangerous. I suggest we do it after the possible threat is contained"
"Ok but what happens if it is sentient, maybe it can't speak or communicate, it could also be a peaceful creature that crash-landed on accident," Jeffery said throwing out even more ideas, "And if that's the case then we definitely shouldn't harm or threaten it, that's how bad stuff happens in the movies."
Kevin and Carol were both in deep thought until Dr. Z voiced her thoughts, "What if we put it up for a vote? That way no one can complain," She spoke in a demeaning tone.
The others hesitantly agreed, "Those in favor of stealing?" one hand rose.
"Those in favor of waiting?" Three hands this time.
"Ok then, those in favor of any other ideas?" Again only one hand.
Seeing the results Dr. Z nodded, "OK, it's settled then, we wait." Other than groans it was quiet afterward. "Good, now Jeffery you go tell the captain the news."
When Jeffery left the tent Steve leaned in to whisper to Carol, "Why did you raise your hand for the third option? I thought you also wanted some samples"
Carol made a silly grin, "Dude, what if the alien is hot tho?" Steve was thrown off balance with the remark but stayed silent.

"Heyo Brice, you got some gum I could have, " A guard asked walking up to Brice. Brice looked at his companion, annoyance evident on his face. "Cam be fucking forreal. We are guarding a fucking alien in some Marvel-esc space suit and this is how you start a conversation?"
"Ok fine, hey do you have any idea what that thing is?" Cam asked sarcastically, hand now out with expectancy. "No idea but it obviously looks like some kind of alien spacesuit, doesn't matter anyways, as long as it doesn't cause harm," Brice said nonchalantly. He then dug through his pockets for some gum, handing his friend some when he found it. Cam silently took it and popped it into his mouth. "Peppermint, really man? Spearmint is clearly the winner no ques- Hey! Did you see that!" Cam screamed pointing at the suit. Brice quickly looked at the suit "You sure, I didn't catch that." He then leaned towards the suit for a closer look, "You better not be fucking with me. This is serious busi- OH SHIT!" His suspicious squint went wide as the suit jerked! "Go tell the Captain Waters, I think it's waking up!" Cam hollered! "D-don't tell me what to do, I was gonna do that anyways," Cam said as he glanced at the suit then back at his friend, and proceeded to run to the first tent.

In the tent, Simon and Cate were looking at the now-on screen. "Hello, Ms. President," they both said.
"Hello to you two as well, let's get straight to business. I've heard recently that a UAP has crashed into the city. I am currently on a flight to your location."
This shocked the two.
Simon was the first to snap out of it. "Ms. President, may I ask why? Shouldn't we secure the area and make sure it's actually alien?"
"Even then, I'm sure we have some kind of area 52 for them right?" Cate added
"Did your father not tell you? Huh, that's funny, I really thought he would've told you…" The President drifted.
"Oh! Speaking of which, he says hi."
"Ooh!? Tell'em I said hi back!"
"Cate manners! We're talking to the president!"
"Calm down Waters, I started it, there isn't a need to go into a fuss about it," the President assured Simon.
"Yeah, Simon chill, no need tah be a stick in the mud," Cate teased.
Simon ignored his friend and looked at the President again, "Ms. President, I believe we're getting off track, what was the reason again?"
"Oh right, my apologies." The President sighed. She then took a deep breath, and continued, "Would you believe me if I told you that, what I can only describe as a woman made of dirt, spawned in my office claiming she was Gaia, and told me to go see the situation you are in immediately?"
The two stared at her in silence, Cate fully slack-jawed while Simon simply squinted.
"Ma'am, do you mean she bypassed all measures entirely?"
The President nodded, "Not only that but after she told me this the earth shook and she disappeared the same way she left. The Secret Service has been in disarray since that happened and has profusely discouraged me from listening to her commands."
"Like hell ya should! She appeared, caused an earthquake, and disappeared just like that. I doubt it'll do ya good if ya disobeyed she said."
"Unfortunately, I agree with Cate on this."
"Hey, what's that s'posed ta mean!?" Cate glared at Simon but he ignored her and continued.
"You should listen, at least this time. I believe we have something. And if I'm correct, we're in for a serious time going forward."
The President nodded, but before she could continue, both Jeffery and Cam entered at the same time "Sir! The suit moved!" This caught the attention of the three in the room.
The President was the first to respond, "I'll be there in roughly four hours. You go and deal with the situation at hand."
"Yes ma'am!" "Yes'm"
"Good." The screen then went black.
"Simon, I'll do the talkin', you can just be my bodyguard," Cate spoke resolutely. Simon scowled in annoyance "Fuck off, it's my job to protect the people, not some cop who thinks she has some authority here!"
"Tough nuts, and 'sides~, I am a part of the 'people' as you say. I believe my father has already told you that I'll be the one who will do the talking, correct?~" The Cate countered with a small smirk. She then walked out of the tent and in the direction of the suit. Simon, having no choice, quickly followed after her, "This and that are two different things and you know it!"
Cate ignored him and quickened her pace, causing Simon to also speed up.
—------
"Dr. Z it's time," Kevin said to Dr. Z as he noticed the RRI machine alerting him again, this time going green.
"Ok." Dr. Z muttered. All the doctors agreed to let Dr. Z be the only one to go out with the Captain and the cop. Before Dr. Z left, she back at Kevin, "Kevin do you think that what you or Jeffery said is more likely to happen."
This stunned Kevin slightly but he still answered, "I don't know, but I hope it's Jeffery's hypothesis, to be honest."
If this displeased Dr. Z, she didn't show it. "Hope…" She sighed, "If your hypothesis turns out correct, you take all the others out of here as quickly as possible understood?"
"O-of course!"
Dr. Z then took a step out of the tent but stopped midway. "If I do pass, Carol, you get my position, Jeffery gets my chair, Steve can have my glassware, and Kevin, you can have lab coats."
She paused, her face turning solemn, " In return, please take care of my daughter alright?"
"Of course Dr. Z!!"
