Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Dark plots in the light

Light, real light. I had forgotten what it felt like to feel the sun. I couldn't stop the smile growing on my face.

"The dark gate is almost sealed. We only need two more sacrifices." A rough voice croaked out.

"Yes, then master should give us are transcendtion." A equal rough but feminine voice responded.

There's a man and woman behind that bush. I crouched down looking over bush careful not to be seen. I suppose it was lucky to end up in a forest hidden form these cult guys. Or religious guy, not sure where I am.

Maybe I got send back in time and there aztecs. Nope, they were speaking perfect english. I should just stay still, I may be old in mind but I don't think I could even beat preschooler.

Today was the first day in a couple of decade where I left my bed, my mucles are quite angry at me. Before I could contine my thoughts I was interrupted by one of the voice screaming out in pain.

Looking over the bush I saw two men? I guess one of those tall muscle men has a soft voice.

"Now I only need one sacrifice." Yep, he sounds like a woman, or is a woman can't see there face only their green hair.

Why do this in the middle of the day. I need to get out of here taking a step I heard the sounds of twig snapping under my foot.

Turning I saw the man look at me with a scary smile. Well s**t.

"My last sacrifice. Lord Paimon has truly blessed me." He ran towards me with his stupid smile.

I tried to run, but my leg cramped I fell the back words watching the man's run turn into a slow trot seeing me be so pathetic.

"Aww, the little sacrifice can't move. Are you scared? Since you made it so easy I end you quickly." He approached even as he produced a large cleaver from I don't even want to know where.

He brought the clevar down on me. I closed my eyes putting my arms out hoping to stop the strike.

But all I heard was the gurgling sounds and trying to force air through water in your mouth.

I opend my eyes, and to my great relief he laid on the ground burned and chared.

I looked at my hand I could see burn marks on the sleeves, nothing on my actual flesh.

Did I do that? Laughter was the only thing I could do.

I managed to stand, shaking on my atrophied legs. Waving my arms I tried will fire but nothing happened.

All this time in that house, only to almost die to maoint to nothing. No.

My desperation and anger fuled my movement and with a shout a jet of flames burst from not just my hand but my entire arm.

Incinerating a group of trees to nothing but ashes on the ground.
