"Com'on dude, cheer up. She's not the last girl on earth. You'll find someone better." A boy wearing school uniform patted on Ryu's black 'n white hetero-coloured hair while consoling him, "And remember this, she'll defiantly regret rejecting you."
"I can bet a thousand Yen on Kiriya's words." A blue short-haired girl smiled and looked at him with her innocent blue eyes while walking next to him, "She'll defiantly regret when she'll find out how rare you are or maybe when she'll see you next to the most beautiful girl on this planet. Hee-Hee."
"Indeed, Tina." Another girl walking in front of them joined in the conversation, "And when that'll happen, I may feel a little jealous, you know." Niko encouraged him while her long black hair waved in the gentle wind.
"You know what." Shiro, the blond haired guy next Niko turned around, "Maybe the god has sealed our Ryu's fate with the most charming and cutest angel. Who knows, she may very soon come to our beloved Ryu."
All five of them halted at a four-way middle road. They tried everything they could just to cheer up Ryu. He just got rejected by his crush at the school.
"Seriously guys, I appreciate that." Ryu forwarded a little, "Don't concern about me further. I'm totally fine. I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow, see ya." He took the straight way and left them.
"Man! I never saw him that upset. No matter how hard he tried to smile like that, we know the sad face behind the smile."
"That's right, Shiro. We are his friends for nothing." Niko left a sigh, "Now then, it's time for us to say bye as well."
"Yeah sure. B'bye you two. Be safe reaching home." Tina and Kiriya waved their hands and took the left way while Shiro and Niko took the right way.
Meanwhile, the entire event of the day, from making entry in the school and proposing to that scarlet haired beauty on the very first day of begin a second year and getting rejected in an instance— all of it, were circling through Ryu's head as he was crossing the bridge.
"Argh!! I'm such an idiot." Ryu shook his head, "Why did I have to ask her out all of a sudden. We finally got to be in the same class and I made things awkward between us the very first day. Great job, me!"
Ryu halted and leaned over the fens of the bridge. He saw his image on the flowing water along with the setting sun.
Ever since all five of them took admission in the same middle school, Ryu had crush on the so called or maybe the most beautiful girl in his school. The girl with the long scarlet hair and crimson eye.
To everyone's eye, she was a role model while Ryu fell in love with her in the first glance. But he really didn't get to talk with her much. Reason? So many obstacles in his path or maybe he had a really bad luck.
Anyway, it took him four years to finally have a decent conversation with her. But he missed that opportunity by asking her out. Tina had already warned him what to avoid.
"What could I possibly have done? I was frozen by her charms." He puled his own hairs, "Jeez! She was looking so gorgeous. Argh!! I wanna die."
His face was all banged up in blushing and sad look. He was really upset about what happened. But what was done was done.
Just when he lifted his face a little from water, something caught his eyes.
At a distance, next to river, on the rocky sore, something was there or maybe someone? Curious Ryu, tried to take clear look.
"Is that a dead body?" he ran towards it.
A body of a girl— soaked in water, naked and covered in multiple wounds. Despite the condition she was in, her body was radiating and surprisingly stunning. The water droplets on her lips and over her body shined like diamonds. Her long black soaked hairs were spread like wings. As if she was indeed an Angel.
"She's alive. Thank god." Checking her pulse Ryu tried to wake her up, "Hay, can you hear me. What's your name."
She was unconscious. Ryu tried calling for an ambulance. But a BEEP.
"Damn it! Of all time, my phone's dead right now. What can possibly go worse?"
"Ahem, Ahem." The girl slightly moved but spoke no words. It appeared she was dithering in cold.
"Guess I don't have a choice but to take her to my apartment. I can call an ambulance from there." Ryu looked at the building nearby. It was his apartment.
Covering the girl with his school uniform, he took her on his back. Without further delay, he headed towards his apartment.
Despite having several thoughts going on his mind, he just thought of saving the girl. He didn't even care how she ended up like that or who hurt her that badly. Some really bad guys could be after her or she could be a criminal herself?
"Questions can wait, I've gotta life to save." The only thing that was going on his mind.
