In an enclosed, independent laboratory, Wang Ye, Jon, and Zola stood wearing silver-white protective suits. Before them stood ten elite members of the Viper Special Forces, also fully armed and clad in identical protective suits.
Wang Ye glanced at the soldiers, their eyes filled with fervent admiration for him, and cleared his throat.
"This moment marks an important milestone. This will undoubtedly be one of the most remarkable chapters in Hydra's history!
You are the elite among elites, the aces of our ranks. You might wonder why I have brought you here, fully armed, instead of sending you to the battlefield.
It's because today, you will accompany me into another world.
This will be the launching point for Hydra's meteoric rise, and you will be the pioneers of this new era!"
With that, Wang Ye turned around and snapped his fingers. On the wall, a glowing white portal appeared, emitting a soft, otherworldly light.
"This is the gateway to another world!"
Both Jon and Zola stared in astonishment at the unique and mesmerizing portal, their faces reflecting awe. The soldiers were equally shocked, their respect for Wang Ye growing even more intense.
Satisfied with their reactions, Wang Ye continued:
"The suits you're wearing are specially designed to protect you, as the air in that world contains deadly viruses. During the mission, make sure your suits are neither damaged nor opened to avoid unnecessary casualties.
Zola, step forward."
Zola, still lost in thought about the principles behind this portal to another world, was jolted back to reality when Jon nudged him. Quickly, he stepped forward and opened a temperature-controlled case he was carrying, revealing ten vials of super serum glowing faintly blue.
Wang Ye gestured to the case and addressed the group:
"This super serum was specially prepared to ensure your safety and enhance your combat capabilities. Zola, proceed."
Zola nodded and began administering the serum, labeled "V," to the soldiers one by one. Thanks to Jon's assistance, the process was completed within minutes.
"The serum you just received is the Type V super serum. It enhances your physical abilities to five times the human limit. Take a moment to adapt," Zola advised, observing the soldiers as they began to perspire heavily during the transformation process.
Satisfied with the results, Wang Ye nodded.
The soldiers, now fully adapted to their newfound strength, looked at Wang Ye with such fervor that it seemed their admiration could ignite flames. They saluted in unison and shouted, "Thank you, Leader, for granting us power!"
Wang Ye acknowledged them with a nod, his gaze deep and contemplative.
"Jon, Zola, you are my right and left hands. Once I enter the new world with them, it might take me a long time to return—possibly decades.
During this time, I hope you two will carry on the mission and manage Hydra. Additionally, do not open this laboratory until my return."
(Director: The transition feels abrupt—that's on me!)
"Understood, Leader. We will safeguard everything in your absence!" Jon saluted solemnly.
"Leader, I will assist Deputy Jon in managing Hydra to the best of my ability," Zola added, equally serious.
Wang Ye nodded in satisfaction.
"Now, let's move out!"
Leading the way, Wang Ye stepped through the glowing portal. The soldiers followed closely behind, but as soon as Wang Ye passed through, the portal vanished, leaving everyone else staring in disbelief.
Raccoon City
The sun dipped below the horizon as darkness began to blanket the land.
The streets were mostly empty, though some were just beginning their nightlife. On the surface, everything seemed normal, but danger was quietly descending.
Through the portal, Wang Ye silently emerged in the forest near a luxurious mansion. For a moment, he was stunned—his team appeared to have been "disconnected"!
(Wang Ye's protagonist aura lets him shrug off such inconveniences.)
The unexpected situation caught him off guard. After a moment of hesitation, he turned to the mansion's tightly closed doors.
After repeatedly failing to reopen the portal, Wang Ye realized that his ability to travel between worlds had a cooldown period. He would have to wait three months before returning.
"Incredible—this is such a rip-off!"
After surveying his surroundings, Wang Ye removed his protective suit and stored it in a dimensional space created using the Space Stone.
(Space Stone-certified portable storage.)
Thankfully, Wang Ye's guess was correct—the dimensional space created by the Space Stone was unaffected by world travel. The cutting-edge energy weapons stored within were still safely suspended in the void.
However, the limitation that it couldn't accommodate living beings was frustrating. He had hoped to scout ahead and then bring in an army to conquer this world.
But that was a matter for another time.
If his memory served him right, exposure to the T-virus significantly enhanced human strength, speed, perception, and recovery—similar to the super serum.
However, the T-virus was unstable and often caused unpredictable mutations, such as the Tyrant's massive muscle growth or the protagonist's telekinetic abilities.
Given his extraordinary constitution and the Space Stone's protection, Wang Ye was confident he could avoid infection from airborne traces of the virus.
Dressed in a lightweight black tactical outfit and carrying his trusty AK, Wang Ye kicked open the mansion's doors and strode inside.
The grand hall was in disarray, with shattered glass littering the floor.
It seemed Umbrella's special task force had already arrived and taken Alice and Matt, who was searching for his sister, into the Hive.
At the end of the hall, the secret door leading to the Hive's underground facility was wide open.
Without wasting any time, Wang Ye descended the staircase through the entrance.
After walking about ten meters, he arrived at a warehouse filled with large crates.
The massive metal containers bore Umbrella Corporation's signature red-and-white logo.
At the edge of the warehouse was a track leading into the underground Hive. The tram that was supposed to be there was nowhere in sight.
"Looks like they were faster than I thought—I was hoping to catch them here."
